I came into Eyes of Mendota about 3 years ago initially because i spend a bit of time in the shopping center where they are located. I was just«browsing» for some new specs when i met Gina inside of EOM. She is very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable and helped me for quite some time to select some frames. I ended up getting an eye exam and a pair of glasses. Not to long later, someone swiped my glorious glasses from my desk at work, i was back at EOM and Gina again helped me select another great frame that fit my face perfectly, she is amazing and so very patient and helpful! I was recently just in again this past week for an updated exam and to get fitted for contact lenses; i also purchased my first pair of sunglasses with a prescription and i couldnt be happier! Gina and the doc are always available and will call/email to let me know when my glasses arrive and to check and see how they are working out for me. I can’t imagine going anywhere else ever again for our families eye care needs, the drive thru bargain barn’s simply do not give you the same level of care and handling that you receive at EOM. I recommend this location to anyone that will listen, truly a family environment and staff that really does care. Keep up the great work guys, I’m your biggest fan! And i love the new shades, thanks again!

Thank God I live in America and can buy my glasses wherever I please. I have now purchased 5 pr of glasses from Gina at eyes of mendota. All trendy and prescription perfect. Even got some special Callaway prescription golf sunglasses… I bought a pair of glasses at a less expensive/less trendy store once. Gina fixed them for me when the lens fell out at no charge.

I bought a voucher for $ 40. That was worth $ 220. To spend on glasses in this store. I go to the store and found out glasses in this store are priced at $ 500. To $ 600. I went to a different store and bought glasses i am very happy with for I $ 160 with no glare lens bi-focals. I Also checked prices of glasses at two other stores and can get them for $ 249. At the highest. . Eyes of medonta store has the cheapest frames priced starting at $ 129 For frames only that are not very nice looking and I’m not that fussy. Don’t wast your money going to this store. I was told most frames are made the same. The mark up in this store is awful high! I asked for a refund of just the $ 40. I spent on the cupon, but it was a no deal. I can’t even buy glass cleaner or a case with the cupon. It’s worthless !!! I guess they just made $ 40. Off of me. There is Noway anybody in their right mind would pay these prices when they can go just about anywhere else for $ 200. To 300. Less. I feel this is a scam to take money from people. I’m sure I’m not the only one that will have to let them have my $ 40. As it says for glasses only and I’m not paying $ 300. Over the cupon price when I can buy glasses comparable for $ 160. With no cupon. Like the review above, if I could give a 0 rating I would! BEWARE!!! BEWARE!!!

Where to even begin. I went in to E.o.M with a Living Social coupon. When I went in, the gentleman that helped me out told me that between a Living Social deal & the Unilocal deal($ 75 for a complete pair of glasses(frames & lenses)) that the Living Social deal was the better deal. I was aware that I could not use them together. Not a problem to me! When checking out, I ended up spending around $ 175, instead of the $ 75 for a complete pair of glasses that the Unilocal deal advertises. I told him that I would even just forfeit the Living Social deal. Not the case at all. He seemed pushy in selling me a second pair of glasses & in the upsell of the polarized lenses. I just wasn’t totally satisfied in the service that was provided to me in my visit & how I was told that the Living Social Deal was a better deal than the Unilocal deal. How is $ 175 cheaper than $ 75? I emailed E.o.M & the response was cold. When I picked up my sunglasses, the Manager was even cold. I was told that the $ 75 coupon from Unilocal is bogus and that they don’t honor it. Horrible customer service in my opinion & I have worked in the service industry for over 15 years. I WILLNEVERGOBACK! If I could give this a 0 out of 5 stars, trust me, I would have.

I needed transition lenses so I went to Eyes of Mendota with a Groupon worth $ 180 off. There were plenty of beautiful frames to choose from. Since I was new to wearing glasses, when I went in to pick them up, Gina spent the time I needed to feel comfortable with the 3 levels of lenses. I’m sure in time I’ll get used to them, but I love my new glasses!

I hope I’m reviewing the correct business. The Eyes of Mendota I visited was located in the outdoor mall with Caribou, Fantastic Sam’s, The Olive Grove, Tommy Chicago’s and Anytime Fitness. I went in with a question about cleaning my anti-reflective lenses, lenses I hadn’t even bought at this store. I figured they might have a travel kit or something. The rep gave me good advice on how to clean them without buying special spray, even though they had some to purchase at the front counter. I really appreciated that I wasn’t automatically shown the cleaning accessories, and I didn’t have to endure any sort of pitch. While I didn’t buy anything, I did like the selection of glasses. I especially liked the Ogi/Seraphin frames.
