I would have rated this massage as 4 stars. But the experience was not pleasant for a Groupon customer. After buying a Groupon and then trying to make an appointment I discovered the following. 1. Owner create her own rules beyond Groupon fine print. Tip is not voluntary based on service but is a required 20% in cash or PayPal. This amounts to a fixed add on fee not mentioned in Groupon. 2. A whole set of rules kind of create an atmosphere that leaves one not looking forward to a massage. 3. Massage lasted an actual 47 minutes according to the clock by the table. I called 2 other Sports medicine places and both said that 60 minutes should be 60 minutes. Perhaps she just shortens the massage for Groupon users. The massage itself was good. If you are considering a massage here, talk to them in advance and determine how much actual massage time you ill get. I think that the operator feels they didn’t get paid enough on a groupon and try to claw the money back by short timing the massage and requiring fees. Had she not had a mandatory fee, I would have tipped anyway. But imposing the fee ruined the overall happy mood that a massage should create. Sorry Anita. Your massage is good but your business practices not so much. Sure you have to give a lot for what you receive with a Groupon. But that’s how you get new customers.

It was the first time I had a hot and cold stone massage(75−90min). The cold stones were weird but it’s supposed to be very beneficial. The hot stones were great. The massage itself was a bit hard but I liked it because you’re more relaxed afterwards than after a soft massage. The Spa was clean and looked pretty. Anita was nice! I felt good afterwards. Usually it’s pretty pricey. I think about $ 200. But I had a LivingSocial Deal.

I had the cold rock hot rock massage and really liked it — quite unique and I imagine it would be particularly wonderful were one to schedule it for after an athletic event. I am not sure about some of the comments here — I found Anita to be very professional and accommodating. She only does 2 days per week in Menlo Park, so perhaps difficult to schedule for some folks. I had no issues though and would come back for that combo massage again.

I purchased a Groupon for a massage and then found there were very limited times and dates available to use it. A four page email was sent to me prior to the appointment outlining the financial penalties for being late or not showing up. On the day of my appointment, one hour prior, the therapist cancelled on ME. She offered no likewise compensation for the inconvenience and costs to me by her last second cancellation. Very unprofessional!

I have been to many massage therapists and I will have to say annita is the best I have had so far. I race bicycles competitively and about two years ago I had a serious condition that knocked me out of racing due to high pain levels. I have gone to doctor after doctor & multiple massage therapists and no one was able to really figure out the problem nor correct it. Annita diagnosed possible origins to my problem then started her magic. I am back racing at full strength with no more pain
