Well I love Starbucks and I go to Starbucks often. This is a beautiful looking Starbucks up to date with all the amenities, and completely packed with families looks like to kill a little bit of time and relax maybe or go on walks in the rain either way it was pretty full. Now I am here for coffee and a white chocolate mocha extra hot with 2 splendas. My order came in pretty fast and the server or barista was repeating my order and did not mention the splendas so I asked her if they were two spendas inside she had an attitude and looked at me and said yeah and walked away. I thought that was really rude and not really customer service oriented and condescending. They get three stars because my drink came out okay it was not extra hot and I did not want to complain. Take your chances here if the barista has a good or bad day. Or still in the mood to be friendly. However it is the only Starbucks in the area. The only good coffee in the area. And it’s close to a gas station and a bar across the street. It is centrally located in the heart of the Menlo district near all the mansions it is very scenic here. If it wasn’t for the surrounding area and the pleasantries of the Menlo Park or at least getting my coffee quickly and hot, again take your chances or ignore the attitudes get your coffee and go.

Every day in the morning I come and 9⁄10 the lines out the door. You’d think that after some time they would learn and staff more people to accommodate the line that literally is out the door this comment is ment purely to the managers the batista are great but when staffing allows for someone to be in line for over 15+ minutes there is a problem when I worked at Starbucks I guess I just remember being faster.

I don’t know who the morning crew is on the weekdays but they have terrible customer service. Was rude about the order when I said thank you acted like I was never there. This is the only the third time I’ve been in there this time they suck

Worst Starbucks experience ever. Excruciatingly slow service, when we finally got to order they didn’t have either food item we wanted. Skip this location.

Hmm well I stop here when I am in MP or going to Stanford, its real close to my family that lives right up the road. Couple of recent times I have gone in, I have seen some disturbing things. One time this girl comes running in and running out screaming bumping into the door and spilling some water. Then I noticed there were many noisy kids hanging around and staff seems to not much care. If I wanted to hangout at a playground I would! Also this one day, a woman walked in, sort of angry and stern looking with a cane, she looks like she is in her early 70s or so. So she is staring everyone down, and then started telling people to move from their tables. In fact, she was hovering over me, making me feel uncomfortable. She told them if they did not have drinks or they had computer they needed to make room, this is no office she yelled! She screamed at one hispanic or latin looking guy, telling him to move, and those around on computers, that they were all free loading on starbucks! When this gentleman stated: excuse me” she mimicked and yelled at him, calling him a thief since he had not a drink in his hands at the time. No one did anything! Everyone was in shock. I felt like saying something to the management, and walking up to her and telling her to leave. What a menace to a location. Hopefully next time the crazy lady, those noisy kids and that mean looking lady that seems to like to start trouble will not be there! If they are I will report it to management.

Love this place! Very friendly staff, can always find a seat there, and there are numerous outlets so I can do stuff on my computer. The tables are tiny, but I don’t think it takes away from the ambiance at all.

After eating at Lutticken’s we needed a place to caffeinate and chill. This was the only café in the area of walking distance so we headed over. Only in places like MP would there be a Mercedes SLSAMG outside. The guy making the drinks and the lady at the register are both very cool. I am reminded why I dont care for SB’s coffee after trying one of the seasonal lattes. But high marks for service and ambiance. 3.75 stars

I have a soft spot in my heart for this Starbucks because its right across the street from my parents house and its where I had my first job in high school(you gotta start somewhere!) Since working at this location many years ago I’ve seen it go through about a million changes from employees and management to a full blown makeover. The interior looks fab, I always get my drink just right, and its insanely convenient both as a corner(alameda & avy) and neighborhood location. I think the best thing about this store is the neighborhood-y vibe. I always run into someone I know here which definitely makes me feel at home. A trip to this store is always a must :)

Love this place! Gets tons of moms, nannies, cyclists, joggers, Stanford students and tutoring on morning weekends. Only open til 6ish on weekends :(nice outdoor seating too. Perfect laptop place, you can work unbothered despite the busy store for hours at the time, no one will ask you to leave, until closing of course!:)

This Starbucks location is one of my favorites. It was my go-to place while I was studying for the bar exam last summer. The employees are great. They are very nice and friendly and the service is very quick. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable… The perfect place to grab your computer and cup of coffee and get some work done. Some Starbucks locations are just too busy and too loud. This place definitely gets a lot of traffic but it’s not too loud. Additionally, the employees keep it very clean. Always a big plus. My only gripe would be that the tables are too small for a computer and books. Only one of the tables is larger. Other than that, perfect, sunny location.

Sometimes they are a little grumpy, but they do a good job. The blonde girl with the glasses is so great. One of my favorites. They can get really busy and they do a good job moving the line along. I like the look of the store and I enjoy having an iced tea and relaxing in their comfy chairs in the afternoon. It’s my goto Starbucks!

Starbucks is Starbucks — the drinks are always the same. This used to be my favorite Starbucks. The chairs were super comfortable, I could always get a seat near an outlet and parking, and the staff was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, both the staff and the furniture seem to have gotten a bad makeover. Now, the chairs aren’t that comfortable and the staff isn’t particularly friendly or efficient. I’m mostly unimpressed just because these days, the baristas seem to have trouble processing my order, no matter what it is, and then take an excruciatingly long time to make it. Really, it’s not that hard. I’m not a complicated latte person. Just don’t leave your brain at home.

I’ll have to disagree with John T. I receive great service and attitudes every time I’m at this starbucks. Perhaps JT was having a bad day. Anyway, this store hasn’t had a facelift yet, so it looks a little old, but the line moves fast, the drinks are good and the place is always organized and clean. I think they have a new manager and she seems to be helping the speed and consistency.

I carried Ruggles, my small dog, into Starbucks today to order my beverage. The barista was actually very sweet when she politely recommended that I not bring him inside the store in the future(she basically said, «yeah, it’s health code… blah blah blah). However, she seemed to enjoy looking at him and told me this time was fine but just to please not bring him in next time. We then settled at a nice table outside and Ruggles loved meeting all of the friendly passerby’s. He soaked up a lot of attention!

A prime place to observe the A-Town/Menlo cougar in action. Otherwise indistinguishable from the 42 million other Starbucks in the area.
