I purchase a tie, vest and slacks here a year ago. I have received numerous compliments through the year along with alluring looks from the opposite sex which I normally do not get. When I want to look good, I think this is the best place to go. They have done work for some celebrities and we are lucky to have them in Mentor.

While interviewing for medical schools I had them tailor my suit. They did a fantastic job. For my «starting medical school» ceremony thing, I brought my dress in to see if they thought I needed it tailored. He gave me an honest opinion and a lesson on how to know if a dress fits properly. He told me my dress was perfect and any alterations would be a disservice. Not only are they quick, affordable, and highly skilled– they are honest too. I’ve lived in NY and Boston, this is my favorite for alterations. I would without question drive a few hours for them when i need something altered in the future.

I love Terriaco’s and I have been going there for years. There is a big difference in having alterations done at Terriaco’s versus a seamstress. These guys are pros. They could look at you and know exactly what clothes you should wear. Domenic and Frank know a lot about clothing and how it is made, and how you should wear your clothes. I have worked with both Domenic and Frank and both are very honest which I LOVE, but I guess if you are overly sensitive you could get offended. Personally I like to get someone’s opinion… especially a man’s opinion on what looks good. This is the place to go if you want something to wear for a special occasion! The clothes at Terriaco’s are beautiful, and fit better than dept. store clothes.

I recently went to Terriaco’s to have a dress altered for my son’s wedding. The first thing Dominic Terriaco said to me when i walked in the door is when do you need it? Not hello or any other friendly salutation. I had called ahead to see what the lead time was and was told 2 weeks. The wedding is in 22 days. I tried on my dress and he found everything wrong said it was made wrong etc. I had ordered this dress from a very repbutable wedding shop in Charlotte NC. Of course at this point I am almost in tears as the dress was specially made to my color choices. I also had brought my MIL with me to get her suit altered too. He chastised her for removing her shoulder pads and said he couldnt do anything about it. Very poor customer service. I might add that my husband has dropped big bucks in this shop. Never again they just lost our business.
Today I took my dress to Sue in Chardon on the square she pinned it up in just a few minutes and will have it ready by the end of the week.

Will not go to another tailor~ Ever! This is the place to go for personalized face to face family run service! Have purchased a suit there, and the pricing was great, along with the custom tailoring and cut of the suit! They sell casual along with formal wear for men and women. They also have accessories (socks, ties, belts, cuff links, etc.). Both my fiancé and I use them for our clothing. They are the best! Definitely recommend!

Gah! This place is *still* effing awesome. And I really mean it when I say that they’ve saved my life on several occasions.
With that being said, I thought I must post an update since I’ve recently had a very important (and friggin’ expensive) piece completely made amazing here.
A bridesmaid dress. I literally hated this dress when I bought it, but I did knowing it was my best option for alterations – and hey, I have a great tailor! We’re talking horrible halter neckline (way too high) and arbitrary hanging pieces that looked gawdy. Eeeeew. I brought it into Terriaco knowing they would not only fix everything I wanted, but they’d do it right.
Now, don’t take what I’m saying lightly because they literally had to cut fabric from the bottom of my dress to lengthen the halter straps. Those straps just so happened to have intricate pleating on them, which the team at Terriaco managed to recreate and match perfectly. I was expecting something that I’d have to cover with my hair. Nope. I wore my hair in an up-​do proudly and you couldn’t even see the alteration.
They even had me come in with the exact shoes I was going to wear to get the hem on the dress perfect. This is a place I drive 45 minutes to get to just to know for certain that the finished product. In fact, I just spent a ton on a designer outfit that I just dropped off with them. I completely trust their expertise and know that I’ll, once again, love the finished product – no questions asked.
