My husband and I had dinner here on our 5 year anniversary. We were staying next door so the closeness of this restaurant was our main deciding factor. There was a small version of their menu in or room and it looked delicious. When we walked in the door there was a large bar area that was empty save for the bartender and a waitress. They were extremely friendly and pointed us around the corner to the restaurant. The restaurant was beautiful! Cloth tablecloths, stained glass chandeliers, hard wood floors, and our pick of any table because it was completely empty. We chose a both in the back which could have used a damp rag to wipe up the dust on the small wall behind it, but it was very comfortable albeit awkward being the only people in there. The waitress was very sweet and took our drink order. Then she gave us menus and this is where the disconnect at this restaurant happens. The whole place says fine dining then you get paper menus. The appetizers came out in paper trays and condiments in the table are in individual packets. The burgers did come out of regular plates but in all honesty when she brought out silverware I half expected it to be made of plastic. The food was great but it does not match the atmosphere here. They need to pick one, either be a fine dining restaurant or be a burger joint. I personally vote for burger joint. I think 50’s diner style would be the way to go because that burger made me want a great big chocolate malt! Great food, great atmosphere, they just don’t match. Also, very strange hours!
