FRESH CLEANERS AT MERCED

Have been using their services for over a year now. Service has improved dramatically. Even had some alterations done which came out really well. Occasionally they don’t have things when promised, but if I need something asap they always get it when I need it.

Ruined more than a dozen of my husband’s dress shirts by pressing them with an iron that was too hot, causing the interfacing in the collar and button flap to warp and leaving permanent shiny marks on some of them. Several of those shirts were brand new and never worn, and we had to just throw them away.

I called ahead to get a quote and the total was exactly as quoted! Friendly staff and the prices seemed very reasonable… $ 31 for 2 dresses and a suit… next day service at no extra fee too!

Terrible & expensive! My clothes have come back faded and looking like the life was beat out of them. They double crease my husband’s shirt sleeves and then look at me like what’s wrong when I bring them back to be done right. Today, I went to pick up 2 new blouses that I wore over the Holidays. One looks washed out and one is completely ruined — there is black dye from the trim all over it. All I was told was that it wasn’t their fault & I had to take it back to the store where I purchased it. We’ll see how far that gets me!
This place is convenient to my house but I have to remind myself not to come here just to save time! If you value your clothes, go someplace else!

I’m through with this business. I worked at a dry cleaners while in school and know how to take care of customers when there is a problem. I received a nice shirt as a gift, wore it once and brought it in for a cleaning. I picked it up, brought it home and went to wear it again and noticed an ink spot on the shirt. I don’t put pens in my pockets and realized the damage was done at the cleaners. I returned the shirt and asked if he could get the spot out. He acknowledged that a pen went through the cleaning machine and damaged other clothes as well. He took the shirt and tried to get the stain out but was unable. I asked if he would replace the shirt and he said he would. I continued to bring my clothes in and asked each time over the course of three months and he kept saying he forgot. I finally asked if he would just give me a store credit and he argued with me. I had to explain that the damage was not done by me, but by his mistake. He didn’t even want to give me full value for a brand new shirt worn once. I continued to do business there and gave him the benefit of a doubt that accidents happen. I have since seen him argue with other customers and today he called my wife a liar when she complained about another ruined shirt. I’ve had enough and will be taking my business elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.

I came here to have a dress dry cleaned & was very impressed with the service. The man working was the only person I saw when I dropped off & picked up. I dropped off on a Wednesday & was able to pick up on a Friday afternoon.
I felt bad for the man because when I was dropping off my dress he was on the phone with a customer that was yelling at him over his ties not being ready. The man replied «Sir, I can’t help it that you have a lot of stains on your ties.» I thought it was a hilarious comeback. His mama must have not taught him to be kind & polite to those that do a service for you.

Had a $ 40.00 dark blue tie «cleaned.» They got the stain out and left a big white spot where it was (like they used bleach on it). Told him that wasn’t right. He charged me for the job anyway and said he’d get me another tie. I said OK, trying not to be a pain. When I went back later and asked about the tie, he gave me a pretty cheesy white tie with a Marshall’s tag on it. Still trying to «go with the flow,» I took it to Marshall’s to exchange it and learned it was worth $ 3.95…When I went back to the cleaners and told the owner that this was ridiculous, he said his responsibilities were met because he gave me a new tie. I walked out stunned and mute, unable to argue with such insulting stupidity. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ACTUALLY LIKE THE CLOTHES YOU OWN!!!

Horrible service. Was promised item would be done on a certain day and I called ahead to make sure… well. not ready… the owner (I think) said not to worry that would be ready to go first thing the next morning… ok no problem right? go with the flow. stuff happens. Well I waited till 1 p.m. that next day and when I went the item was not done and in the box — also he did not know if the veil was the correct one for my wife’s wedding dress –SCARY…took another 20 minutes and was packaged terrible.
Please Run away from this place. I wish I would have.

Fast and convenient, this cleaner delivers a quality job. The store advertises that its cleaning methods are green. Not sure how, but a nice plus if it is true. Prices are reasonable. They are closed on Sunday.
