Had coffee there ordered 2 caramel Brule with added shot and it tasted like warm milk and doesn’t taste like they added the shot would turn back and return them to be remade but we have a long drive with 2 cups of disappointment

I never have an issue at this store. The staff are kind, my «specialty drink» comes out right every time. Even with a 99.998% uptime guarantee of me being nonverbal, these people really do seam to go out of their way for a customer who finds it hard to speak. I can’t really say I have a true gripe with this place Speed of service: 5⁄5 Order accuracy: 5⁄5 Friendliness of staff: 5⁄5 Quality of product: 5⁄5 Overall satisfaction: 5⁄5 The wifi is quite reliable, great for my remote office work. The drinks(regardless of it being a specialty drink or not) are always great. Need I go on?

I usually get good service here, except that today it was just weird. The girl behind the counter, Mandy, I think… was strange. She never really asks, «Can I help you?» Like a cashier would normally do. She just sort of stares at you until you order. The staff seemed very disorganized too.

Came here to wait as my family went to a movie. This Starbucks is a great place to have a calming and warming time. In my opinion, the staff are friendly, the tables are great to work at, and the only thing that could be improved on is the bathrooms. Other than that, I would recommend this Starbucks to anybody who lives in Merced and needs a good place to work on school assignments, read books and news on their phone, etc. The wifi is a great plus as well. It’s reliable, and is usually a good spread to watch videos and download apps.

I’ll start by saying that I travel from SoCal to northern Cali and I spend quite some time in Merced. I normally stop at about 6 different Starbucks a week. I use my app and I love the convenience of it. Here we go: I walked in to get 1 of my 2 daily drinks… I normally do hot coffee but it was pretty warm this last Monday so I ordered a grande iced coffee w/heavy cream and 3 raw sugars(I order this exact same drink, either hot or cold about 6x a week)… I asked the barista for a pour over decaf, since they only offer an Americano decaf after a certain time. I’m aware that it takes 3 – 5 minutes to pour and I really appreciate it. The barista(not my cashier, she was a peach) looked my way and said«we don’t offer that, I’ll make it just this once»(thank you to any and all Starbucks who apparently are«bending» the rules for me)… Then the barista looked at the cashier and said«does she know it will take up to 5 minutes?»… I could hear you, and yes, I know… So now the 2nd part… My raw sugar just sits at the bottom of a cold drink and I end up drinking pieces of sugar so I asked if she could please dilute my sugar(all she seriously had to do was open the 3 raw sugars, let them sit under the hot pouring coffee and wala! They shouldn’t have to be told this, it’s common sense) About 10 – 12 minutes in(there was no one behind or In front of me in line and there were 3 employees) I get up to see what’s taking this long. I walk over without saying anything and I see the barista pouring ½ cup of hot water to dilute my sugar… When I saw what she was about to give me(½ cup of sweet hot water mixed with decaf coffee) I stopped her and said«never mind the sugar, I’ll pour my own out here. They looked surprised that I had seen what they did and she immediately poured out the water, mixed the sugar with the hot coffee, poured the heavy cream in and handed me my coffee with a big smile and said«sorry it took so long»… While the other barista was talking about me by the register(my friend saw them and I don’t think they saw her either) I must not know anything about making coffee but I don’t think my drink is so complicated. Coffee, raw sugar and heavy cream… Hot or cold… Decaf or regular… It seems pretty simple…

It’s a Starbucks… outside of what you’d expect, here are some of the things that stood out for this location: Con: 1) bathrooms were tore up. Probably because of… 2) all the homeless in the area like to congregate here. 3) parking is scarce. Pro: Wifi speed is phenomenal(see photo of speed test). Honestly, their wifi speed makes up for a lot, so they get a decent grade.

Bad experience every time I come here and I have lost my patience with this location. I drink black coffee. Not too complicated right? I go this location before 8am, so I’m not going at an unusual time and each time the dark roast is not ready. One time it took 15 minutes to get it but they were nice enough to give me a coupon for a free drink and the other times they were out so I didn’t bother. This last time, and it will be the last time here for me, I got to my office and the coffee is room temperature. I should have taken a sip from my mug before I left the store, but who would have thought that you would be getting lukewarm coffee?

I usually don’t write reviews this is my first time. Anyways I’d give this place 5 stars, but today I had a bad experience and it’s rare since I have never seen bad service at a Starbucks until now. So I went in today and an employee I’ve never seen there attended me and was rude. To start with, there was no customers and when I was ordering the girl wasn’t paying attention to what I had to say, so they had to remake my drink. This wouldn’t of happened if the employee let me explain what I wanted. There was two girls working there, their attitude was bad. Don’t know if they had something against me or if they were racist, but once other people started showing up their attitudes changed and they were actually being helpful to a Caucasian lady. On top of that all I kept hearing was them talking about other people including customers. I’m not those type of people to cause a scene, this is a good Starbucks I like it, but this is the first time I’ve seen Starbucks employees be rude and raising their voice with an attitude. On another note, I heard the employee(without mentioning names) say that they wanted to transfer her, not to be mean, but hope they do. Her customer service is just not proper for Starbucks’ reputation. Unfortunately I had this bad experience today. Other than that I recommend this place to go for a coffee and chat with friends.

I love this location. It’s a great place to grab a cup of coffee before heading to work. The staff are fantastic! They will literally go out of their way to make your experience feel even more wonderful. The only downside is the homeless folks harassing you on your way out.

EVERY single Starbucks, regardless of city or location, has provided good service — except this one. Everything went well, cashier was friendly, took my order(s) quickly and with no problem. As the drinks started coming out, my aunt pointed at the sticker with her«Caramel Frap order/no whip» but low and behold — there was whip. A quick, «Excuse me! Our order said no whip cream» and expected her to make a new one, or at LEAST say sorry for messing up your order. Upon request, a grunt was emitted from the young woman barista, who promptly picked up a spoon, scooped out the cream in front of us, splashed it messily in front of us, and tossed it back on the counter before us. WHAT. –____-* If you’re going to mess up the order, at LEAST saying«sorry» would be called for. If you’re going to scoop out the freakin’ whip cream, do it discreetly, not right in front of the customer! Someone needs to be sent back to the Barista Academy.

Clean and helpful staff. I always stop here for a quick coffee when coming from my parents in Mariposa to San Jose. Parking always seems to be available in front or on the street. Note a movie theater is next door so it depends on whats playing and timing.

It hurts me to give the Main street location 2 stars. I love the drinks; I love the staff; I love most of the regular customers. I love the central location. But the bums and wanna-be street thugs have driven me away. For the first year and a half of hanging there I don’t recall having a serious problem(I sit outside only). But over the winter of 2012⁄2013 I’ve had to call the police at least 4 times and have had to alert staff of problems between bums and patrons almost every day. Enough is enough. I give up. I’ve written to Starbucks HQ about the problem. There wasn’t room in Unilocal to paste in the letter so I’ve posted it at this url: Sorry Starbucks, but this problem is solvable, you just have to possess the will to DOIT. No one wants to be continually accosted or assaulted by street thugs.

Since I started coming here regularly the manager made me a special drink because I’m always so tired between jobs. It was an awesome blend of coffee and something sweet with tons. of caffeine. The service here is always good along with the drinks.

Nice location on Main Street, friendly staff, I’m a big fan of main street and main street activities. Tonight a Art Walk with over 75 artist up and down and side street. Nice chairs and tables. Great location for people watching.
