I was rather bothered by my last visit. I went because I haven’t been in a long time. I was seated and sat there for thirty minutes never being offered: water, coffee, or anything. I got up to leave, placing the menu by the cash register and heading towards the door. Then I was asked if and why I was leaving. To which I replied, «because you took to long.» I’ve eaten there before and enjoyed the food and service(Jovan). I guess you can tell I’m still perturbed about that incident. Might be longer, before I return for a good meal.

Why this is not a solid five stars, I don’t know. Thank you Unilocal, you definitely shinned with this suggestion. When traveling we count on Unilocal to help with our journey. Toni’s Courtyard Café is a true diamond in the rough. The patio dining is quaint, calming with anticipation of the food to come. Chicken Gumbo, I thought I was in New Orleans, OMG. With a kick! Mediterranean grilled chicken sandwich with Sundried tomatoes feta cheese pesto & organic spinach served on Focaccia bread. Need I say more. Just amazing. The focaccia bread was full of with flavours on its own. This experience would not have been without the lovely Sabrina, it is evident she loves what she does, but mostly she loves to make you happy! Thank you Sabrina, your the best. This is a must stop for everyone. Our new favourite restaurant in Merced. Thank you Toni’s for a great dining experience!!!

Seriously Delish! I was in town for business, and this was a very nice break from all the other spots we had. Turkey Wrap: Fresh, flavorful and served with a nice light potato salad. I would definitely return here. I wish they were open for dinner, because their menu could definitely work for that. The service and overall ambiance was great too.

The house baked bread and creative sandwiches were very good. I had the Classic turkey which has cranberry sauce, cream cheese, walnuts and mixed greens. The sweet potato fries were average. The price was really good for good sized sandwiches. Good service. The free Unilocal cookie was a little disappointing but overall a really good place. I would happily return.

Love Toni’s! The food here is made from scratch, fresh and delicious ! Great breakfast, you can choose build your own or maybe a breakfast burrito with fresh salsa and I’m pretty sure the biscuits and gravy may be the best I have ever had in a restaurant ! Fresh biscuits cut in half and griddled with butter smothered in delicious sausage gravy are delightful :) Also have had some amazing sandwiches here. Love the pastrami . Great service and great prices for great food !

Toni’s has never failed to satisfy my taste buds! I don’t ever get the same thing there to eat, I choose something different all of the time because I know everything is amazingly delicious.

The best tri-tip sandwich ever, especially with the sweet potatoe fries dipped in their special sauce. Will definitely come back if we ever pass by again

Friendly, prompt service. Very welcoming. Came here for lunch, serves burgers, salads, soups, and sandwiches. Had the pepper jack burger, not bad. And got a free cookie for dessert. Would come back for sure!

Our server Joven or Jovan was the best server ever!!! I wish all servers were as friendly and nice as she was. Our food was very delicious as well. Maybe of us ordered scrambles and I got their regular eggs and bacon breakfast. The smoked salmon scramble was bomb! The cream cheese inside was not over powering. The boys loved their Italian scramble. The California scramble was also great. Avocado creamy goodness. The free cookie tasted like it was from Costco. I didn’t like it. The best part about this place would have to be the service. Ever since we walked in, the host was awesome. The lady behind the counter was awesome. Our server was the best. I will definitely come back if I’m ever in the area and I highly recommend stopping here for breakfast and lunch.

5 stars for the food and 5 stars for the service. Everyone that work’s at Toni’s is so sweet and they don’t look unhappy to be there at all or anything. It has a really welcoming environment. I really like how there is the option of outdoor or indoor seating. This one time when we sat outdoors they also had heaters out to keep you warm. I usually always get the Tri Tip Sandwich when I go in for lunch. I sub the swiss for cheddar and it is so good. I’m usually not a fan of mushrooms in my food either but, the tri tip sandwich has proved me otherwise. The New York Pastrami is super delicious as well. Sometimes for their specials they have a Bison Burger which my friend really enjoyed! The sweet potato fries, and the potato salad are delicious sides as well. I only came for breakfast once because I usually don’t wake up early enough, but I ordered the berry french toast it was so delicious. If you check in you can get a free cookie. So definitely check in so you could sample a bit of their dessert section.

We were passing through town and stopped at Toni’s because of the reviews. We ordered the Courtyard salad, the Chicken Cobb salad, a side of regular French fries and a side of sweet potato fries. The salads were substantial in size and the ingredients were fresh. The Courtyard could have used some chicken, which is the thing my husband said really made the Cobb. The fries were amazing! I don’t usually like sweet potato fries(a favorite of my husband) but these were delicious! They are served with this tasty dipping sauce and cooked perfectly. The regular fries were also fantastic. The service was good and we didn’t have to wait long. The price was also very reasonable for the food. Highly recommend this place.

Overall a decent place to eat. Turkey avacado melt was tasty. Caesar salad not so much. It wasn’t bad per se. Just not all that great. Service was friendly. I would have bought dessert but she just brought me my check without asking so I took it as a sign that I didn’t need dessert. :/ I would come back but would probably try some other places first.

The Reuben sandwich and salmon salad was good, but nothing extra special. The reason this got 5 stars is because of the balsamic vinaigrette sauce. It was soooo delicious! I would order salad again just to eat it.

I have been meaning to write a review of Toni’s. I’ve been coming here pretty often this past year, and I have never had a bad experience. The food is great and the waitresses are even better. They are super nice and welcoming! The interior is cute, but when the weather permits, you should definitely take a seat outside! My favorite has to be the tri-tip sandwich but the courtyard burger is a close second! Fries are also pretty good, but my friend swears by the sweet potato fries. It’s a bit pricy for a college student, but the amazing staff and wonderful food is totally worth it. I cannot recommend this place enough! My only regret is finding this place during my last year at school!

We had the day off for Veterans Day and my daughter requested lunch at Toni’s. I was thrilled because we hadn’t been in nearly a year. We arrived a little after 1 p.m. and got seated immediately. Our server Candace made us frel welcome and served our drinks without hesitation. I ordered the Tri-Tip sandwich with sweet potato fries and my daughter had the Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries(because we love Toni’s sweet potato fries and weren’t willing to share!) Our food arrived shortly after we ordered it and was the perfect temperature. Candace made sure we had all the sauces and such we needed. The sandwiches were amazing. The tri-tip was tender and perfectly matched with mushrooms ans cheese. The fries were golden brown and crisped to perfection. The portions were large enough for us to take home leftovers for dinner. And it was free dessert Wednesday! Today’s dessert was bread pudding. It was warm and delicious! We definitely won’t wait another year to visit again!

The drive from Yosemite to San Francisco is 3.5−4 hours long. Obviously, one needs to stop at one of the little towns along the way for a break/meal. Fortunately, I have this handy mobile app to look up great restaurants along the way and found this gem in Merced, right off the 99. The café entrance is located in the corner of a small parking lot, but we parked on the street(unmetered!) and walked over. I suggest opting to sit outside on the covered patio. I read on Unilocal that Tinos makes great soups, so I ordered the soup and salad combo with a side of sweet potato fries. The butternut squash soup of the day was hearty, thick and delicious. It was topped with yummy cranberries, too. The Caesar salad wasn’t one of my favorites, but for $ 9, it seemed like a steal and I left very full. The sweet potato fries are a must. The fries are served hot and perfectly deep fried. Even better, it comes with a great fruity, sweet and spicy chutney sauce that was perfect for the sweet potato fries. We ended our meal with complimentary cookies by using our Unilocal check in. Throughout our meal, our waitress, Heidi was attentive, and friendly. I’d highly recommend this cute little café if you ever find yourself in Merced. I know that if I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go-to place for lunch!
