Unreal teriyaki! I ordered the almond spicy chicken and it was amazing. Large portions and friendly service. Also outdoor seating is a plus.

Hands down the best teriyaki I’ve ever had. I live in San Diego now and desperately miss this place. Spicy chicken breast teriyaki is where it’s at! Very nice owners, too. My only complaint is that they were closed on Sundays and I always wanted teriyaki on Sundays!

Great food and plenty of menu options. I frequent toshi’s for lunch at least once a week. The food has a consistent quality, the salad is always fresh and the service is fast and friendly. I also enjoy the light hearted movies that are always playing. I’ve never been a big fan of teriyaki but I really enjoy this place.

Best deal on the Island for dinner. The spicy chicken is awesome, almost but not quite too hot, hot enough to enjoy the pain! The portions are very generous and the egg rolls are pretty great.

I stopped in Friday night to grab a my usual chicken teriyaki combo. The place was packed with high school kids hanging out and eating. Nothing wrong with that but a little busier than usual. Reminded me of growing up on the Island because there were so few places to hangout. Food is great… worth a visit.

I work on the island and frequent Yoshi’s during the week on a regular basis, and so does many others from my office. Favorite dish is the chicken and gyoza combo with hot & spicy treatment on the chicken. The hot & spicy is the real star, their spicy sauce is awesome. Sweet but with some real heat. The lady working there and the place in general is nothing spectacular but that’s not why we attend teriyaki joints. The prices are also a little on the high side and they up charge $ 1 for hot & spicy. Even still I continue to gladly go back.

The chicken was cooked nicely in my chicken teriyaki. However that’s all I tasted was chicken. The poor excuse for a sauce seemed like a dressed version of soy. I would advise avoiding this place along with the one in Renton which has low stars too, and same sign/name.

Teriyaki is definitely one of the most Americanized Japanese foods out there, no doubt about that. Nevertheless, it is pretty tasty. Toshi’s is one of the few teriyaki shops on the island, and probably the best. The other shops are no good, trust me! At Toshi’s, ordering is simple, just choose what type of teriyaki you want(or anything else on the menu). Then you can have your choice of salad or steamed vegetables. Always order the salad, no questions asked. My favorite item on the menu is the chicken teriyaki, it comes with rice, as well as teriyaki sauce for dipping on the side. I always get salad, never the steamed vegetables because I can easily get that at home. Also, it’s not that good here, usually overcooked, or burn The chicken teriyaki comes with endless pieces of tender, juicy, flavorful chicken, marinated in a savory something something, then grilled on the fire top. The rice is cooked alright, I can make better rice at home in the ol’ rice cooker. The salad is tossed in a white dressing. My favorite part is the teriyaki sauce because it is sweet and salty, the perfect pairing to the chicken. It’s also great when drizzled over your rice. I haven’t come back for a while, but am planning to for quick lunch or comforting dinner.

I always want to like little hole-in-the-wall shopping center restaurants, in the belief that there are plenty of unexpected surprises waiting to be found. Unfortunately, this is not one of those pleasant surprises. It’s just a grim, greasy little Teriyaki place, with an over-ambitious menu and an unpleasant little seating area. You get a bad feeling as soon as you walk in, because the ventilation in the restaurant is not good, and it’s stuffy, smoky, and smelly inside. There’s a complete menu of all the usual suspects. You’re best off getting the plainest, simplest thing on the menu, such as chicken teriyaki. Otherwise, give it a pass.

I hadn’t been to this place since it first opened some odd years ago, so I wasn’t even sure if it was still in business when I decided to check it out again. They have a huge menu with lots of options. My favorite is chicken katsu. There’s an option to order it as white meat so I tried it. Tasted good, but not worth the extra bucks. Their udon didn’t taste the way I expected, but maybe I’m being picky. They also have beef kalbi and other Korean plates, but I haven’t tried those yet. I love that there’s a huge thermos of hot tea for free! The family who runs the place is very friendly and there’s a large flatscreen tv for your [fuzzy] entertainment. Just avoid this area on Fridays around 3pm… Middle schoolers take over the entire lot as if it’s their playground and it gets a LITTLE irritating, especially when they’re wandering(more like loitering) around the parking lot. Minus 1 star because I’ve gone in a couple times and waited for my food for longer than what they had told me. and I was on a lunch break and didn’t have much time.
