Despite my previous review, Andrea’s Pizza is amazing!

Really good food and reasonable price. I don’t usually eat bread but their bread is tasty!

Was headed to subway when I noticed this restaurant and decided to try it out. I’ve only had the Steak and Cheese wrap(probably 4 times now) and can’t complain. I recommend trying this place out if you haven’t yet.

This was our second visit to Andrea’s. Our first trip was fabulous! We ordered a red and a white pizza. I can’t recall exactly what it is. Today we ordered the chicken fajita and supper excited about the order. It smelled so delicious. We were told 15 minutes(strange– cooking chicken would take longer). We got there approximately 20 minutes after we called. When we went in to pick it up it was kept in the bottom part of the oven in the box. When we got home the pizza was so dry and tasteless that we actually heated up canned pizza sauce to give it flavor and that didn’t work so we actually through the entire pizza in the garbage. We eat out very often, but I have to say this pizza was the worse we have ever had. I do understand that different companies may have different cooks, however this was really bad! I know I won’t go back. I used to think that there is no such thing as a bad pizza! WRONG. Hope they do something to make it better.

Andrea’s serves up classic new York style pizza that is well executed. It’s a no frills type of place that offers slices, salads, grinders, pastas, wings and everything in between. In addition to the pizza, I’ve tried their chicken parmesan grinder and ziti with marinara and chicken. Both of these dishes were NOT good. The chicken parmesan lacked flavor, but the bread was decent. As for the other dish, it was the worst pasta I ever had unfortunately. The marinara was soooo bland and the pasta was overcooked and mushy… so mushy that it fell apart when I tried to pick it up with my fork. I don’t plan to eat here again ever because there are better options for pizza within the same vicinity and wouldn’t recommend anything other than the pizza from Andrea’s. On a positive note, Andrea’s has much more convenient and later hours than the other options. They also deliver.

Drove by this new place and gave it a try. We were impressed and have ordered there a half dozen times. Pizza is excellent. Fresh dough, good sauce, and unique specialty pizzas. We have not eaten there, but the delivery is prompt, correct, and courteous. My wife LOVES the chicken and broccoli rabe and every combination of pizza I’ve tried is fantastic. There are some interesting combinations and even a cheese pizza is great. Give them a try. It’s worth it.

Such amazing cheese pizza! Highly recommend! We got two large cheese pizzas thinking we would have one left over for the next day and we ended up with 2 slices extra.

We drove by Andrea’s Pizza one day and said we would give it a try as we have had terrible luck with good pizza in Meriden. We ordered wings and a pizza to be delivered. They said it would be 35 – 45 minutes, which is reasonable. After an hour and 15 minutes we called inquiring where I pizza was, the response we got back was that the delivery guy left a long time ago. Finally, showed up about 15 minutes after that. Strike #1. The food was luke warm at best. The pizza was okay, nothing particularly special, and the wings were terrible! They were soggy from sitting in the styrofoam container for so long. Strike #2. About 2 hours after my husband ate the wings he started feeling sick, and was up sick all night and the next day. He didn’t eat anything else, so we know that it had to be the wings, I didn’t eat any and I was fine. Strike #3. We will never recommend this place and will not try it ever again. One very bad experience was enough! If you are going to try it, pick up your food, and don’t order the wings!

Andrea’s is my go to pizzeria for a weekly(or more often) pizza fix due, in no small part, to the bargain priced($ 3.50) luncheon special that includes 2 slices of cheese pizza and a 12-ounce soda. Until last evening, we had never ordered a full pizza, but that itch has now been scratched. After reviewing the take-out menu, of which I have a few scattered around the house, we settled on a large Ortalana(vegetable) specialty pizza that included spinach, roasted red peppers, garlic, ricotta cheese and a copious amount of eggplant. Like wine, offered as either a red or white, we were undecided so ½ and ½ was requested. The crust was slightly thicker than usual, but with a desirable crunch, and the toppings were garden fresh. Which side, red or white, won the«best of award» in secret balloting conducted at the conclusion of the meal? Red, 2 – 0.

Andrea’s pizza is a solid pizza place. Can it compete with some of the best in New Haven… no. It is what it is… a very good local pizza restaurant. They have a very extensive menu full of tons of option. For $ 5.25 I got a delicious Chicken Parm sandwich. It was nice to see the chicken get hand breaded. No frozen service food at Andrea’s. Overall what I’ve tried has been very good and the prices are great. Give Andrea’s a shot. I think you will be surprised.

Good quality, fresh ingredients cooked and prepared properly. Their gourmet pizzas, wraps and grinders are all delicious. Illianos was a «no one feels like cooking» staple for years but Andrea’s has replaced it.
