A Gem! If you find yourself in the Meriden CT area, do not miss the opportunity to eat at Iliano’s! It is a small Italian restaurant with an obviously loyal following so you may have to wait for a table at times but it’s worth it. Large menu to choose from, something for everyone. My sister and I chose the calamari appetizer for starters, and be forewarned, this portion is large enough for 4! We then shared a «small» Neopolitan pizza which was a large size in many places. Good quality food, good prices, good service. AND on Sunday’s all bottles of wine are ½ price. Make the right choice and eat here; they care about the food they put out and they care about their customers.

I travel a lot for work, so it’s especially nice when I can get a good meal delivered to my hotel room that isn’t Chinese food. I ordered lasagna with a side Caesar salad and 2 garlic knots, as well as 2 «20oz» Pepsi’s. When the food finally arrived, an hour and a half after ordering it, I was definitely dissatisfied. The lasagna wasn’t hot, the garlic knots are no bigger than golf balls, and the 20oz Pepsi’s are actually 12oz bottles. To top it off, I didn’t even get my salad. I’m quite certain that the lasagna would have been great if it was hot, surely disappointing.

I had the large Margherita pizza with sausage. Something in it was on the sweet side, not sure if it was the sauce or the crust. The crust was different too, kind of a cross between flakey and chewy. Not the typical crust. Wasn’t bad but not the best i’ve had.

I walked in the other day spur of the moment. My daughter just wanted a cheese pizza. I was greeted immediately by friendly employees and given a snack while i waited. The guy behind the counter offered several choices and all were phenomenal. The loaded baked potato pizza and spinach and artichoke pizza were awesome. I have a party coming up and now made my choice on who to buy my 10 pizzas from.

I must say o order from the Illiano’s when I’m in Middletown but mainly from the one in Meriden. I ordered and for the first time ever my steak grinder was made wrong! I called and right away the put Emily on and she told me they would send a new one right away. SEETHISISIMPORTANT Because I have tried every spot in Meriden and usually as soon as I order once? I throw the menu away and never order again due to lack of good taste. There were two spots I kept plus this one and those two spots? Got trashed due to poor customer service. The last place Pizza Heaven I called to complain and the girl said it was my fault that I ORDERED it wrong and then the OWNER said because I ate some that they couldn’t take it back .u mmmm WHATWERETHEY going to do if they took it back? RESELLIT? so they gave me a $ 3 credit on a $ 50 order. Can you say TRASHED! So not only did the owner get on the phone to apologize at Illiano’s. So Customer Service goes A LONGGGG way and keep up the great work… great food… and great prices. guys!!!

Never had a bad meal here. Buffalo chicken pizza is amazing… Like seriously. Grinders are full of meat, bread always fresh. We get the cold ones toasted. You can order by the slice which is nice to try the different gourmet pizzas without buying a whole. The staff is always friendly as well. This is a weekly spot for us.

Look it’s a good go-to. You know that you really truly like the pizza but you can’t figure out why you don’t LOVE it. It’s the pizza equivalent of a really great date that goes nowhere. Will you see the person again? Yeah, fun time! Will you become exclusive? Probably not.

My daughter and I just ate here last night for the first time. It’s a nicely appointed, casual Pizza restaurant. Very clean and well kept. Nice, friendly and helpful waitress too. The food was good but the pricing was a mixed bag. My daughter ordered a Martguerita pizza which was nicely flavored. The quality, size and taste were fine but it did cost more than I expected it would. But it was good quality and tasty, On the other hand I had a nice size bowl of homemade style Italian soup instead of the usual side salad for just an extra $ 1.00 up-charge, along with a very good quality and good size appetizer for $ 9.00. For a main course I got their Eggplant Parmesan dinner. This was the gem of the dinner! The very large helping of eggplant was tasty and done perfectly; nice and firm but not hard or burnt, and not mushy like it usually is in a restaurant. Sauce was pretty good too, better than many and there was plenty of it. The side of pasta was big and also had a good amount of sauce on it as well. I really enjoined my dinner and my daughter liked her pizza too. They also supply you with a good size helping of warm, crusty Italian style bread. Now for the best part, the Eggplant Parmesan dinner was only $ 13.00. I could not finish it. Between the large dinner, and side pasta, it will be my launch for the next 2 days at least. Yes, it was that large. To sum it up; nice casual place, good food, service, fine, good size dinners but slightly pricey for pizza, but it is .

I can’t speak for the food other than the pizza or the ambiance but the one time we ordered delivery, we were shocked by how expensive a single pizza was. It took an hour to arrive, and wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Great options for pizza. I’m lactose intolerant and my boyfriend and I are able to come here and I can actually have pizza. I get the grandma, a Sicilian style pizza without cheese. My boyfriend likes to try the different kinds they offer, like the potato pizza. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, the prices are great, and we always feel welcome. You can get a full pie or just a slice, the food is always fresh and I recommend this place to everyone looking for good pizza.

Six months later and the delivery service seems to have gotten even worse. I like some kind of a side sauce with my pizza, or I even just appreciate a little marinara with my garlic knots. Not so much to ask for. If you order here, I can almost guarantee you won’t get whatever your special request sauce was. I don’t even think they write it down when you ask, and no, this isn’t a one time thing. My family orders from here probably once a week and it happens every single time, to the point where once they sent the delivery boy back with some sauce and a gift card after we complained.(I would never have asked for the poor kid to drive back, it was just the result of our complaint.) Tonight, we placed our order at 5:06. She told us about 45 minutes, or an hour. Sure, okay. Hour and a half later, there’s still no sign of a driver so I call them back and ask if something is wrong. The girl on the phone there always has an attitude, no matter what it is you want. There was no apology for the long delivery time. She basically just said«Yeah, he’s coming,» snapped her gum and hung up. When the pizza shows up(lukewarm), at almost SEVEN o’clock, guess what? No bleu cheese and no marinara. I wasn’t even surprised. I can’t speak for the quality of their entrees, salads, or any of that. Their sit down service is definitely slow, but not the worst. All I know is that the delivery is seriously terrible. The girls running the front counter are rude beyond excuse. And the Buffalo chicken pizza IS good, but now that they’ve raised the price up to $ 22 for one large specialty pizza… We’ll take our business elsewhere. If you’re in the area, you want a decent pizza and don’t mind spending a few extra bucks, then I’d recommend the PICKUP. Oh, and don’t forget the extra sauce ;)

I don’t know when the managment changed here, as my family hasn’t stopped in in about 2.5−3 years ago. Completly different vibe in the restaurant than their used to be. We were used to being greeted by the manager, cooks, amd waitresses every time we walked in. This time, not one staff acknowledged us, even though there was only one small group eating in the dining area. Waitress was okay and apologetic when the Philly Chease Steak Grinder came out with lettuce and tomato(wtf?) after the grinder was ordered with specific requests. Staff just seemed like they were waiting to clock out, trash was on the floor(when the restaurant was very slow)… just an overall mediocre experience. 2 stars because the pizza is still delicious and they had crayons for my very impatient toddler. Definitly won’t be returning to this location. We miss the restuaraunt the way it was about 3 years ago.

Cute little spot, very cozy and casual. Yummy pizza, when you get it by the slice they are huuuuuuge, and good dinners overall, pretty good location. Wait staff wasn’t super attentive but it was a little later and only a few people were in the restaurant.

What can I say about Illiano’s. It’s C+ to B– Italian food, but sometimes that’s ok. Never fantastic, but it always does the job when your looking for a quick Italian fix. They have a good selection of entrees and pizzas. The kitchen pumps out consistent food time and time again. If your looking for something different give the Chicken Illiano a try. The addition of the cream adds a nice twist to a traditional Marsala.

Best buffalo chicken pizza ever. Also, it’s nice to get a little slice as a snack while you wait. It’s a little more expensive than other places in the area but you can’t beat how delicious the buffalo chicken is really.

Oh man. I really wanted to give them more stars. But I had a really bad experience about 3 weeks ago. We decided to get delivery and they said it would be about 45 minutes, that was fine. It was over an hour when they finally did show up, and the young kid who made the delivery had no idea how much the order came up to. He had to fumble around before I just gave him whatever they told me on the phone(I like to make sure the total they give you and the total the driver says is the same) and gave him his tip. We ordered chicken marsala. and let me tell you. WHAT A LETDOWN. First off, there were only 3 pieces of chicken and maybe 10 mushrooms total. It was horribly small for the steep price tag of over $ 16 for the dinner! I always get the antipasto salad, which is ALWAYS great. My food was good, but just felt really cheated regarding the portion sizes. My fiancé told me why don’t you just call them and complain… but I didn’t have it in me… figured maybe the owner would see this and contact me? … … … …

A little more expensive than other pizza places in Meriden, but it’s also a notch above many of the other pizza places in town. That being said, the price is definently justified. The pizza here is absolutely delicious. So many different topping and combos, and it all tastes amazing. Staff is so friendly. Even though it is a more informal restaurant, the waitstaff behave like it is a high class establishment. I love the service so much. Beware, once you come here you will be hooked! I love this place and come here every chance I get.

Some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. I think it is in their sauce. Parking is a bit rough. Tight packed spots and not very many of them. Expect to park nearby and walk. Indoor seating and pickup are great. Staff is very friendly and even give you a slice while you are waiting. Gluten Free pizza is disgusting. Tasted like a Sponge Cake with Red sauce and cheese on it, but their regular pizza is so great I cannot take any stars off. They have a fridge at the door so you can grab a coke or root beer on your way out. Prices are very reasonable and it is located in the best area of Meriden(the west end). If you want to plan a day trip to Hubbard park, grab a large pizza on the go from here and feed the ducks. If you have not tried their pizza it is worth the trip out there. I live 20 minutes away and still stop by just to grab a slice.

Very good pizza that was piping hot when delivered :-). Probably the best delivery in Meriden. This is the pizza you want, when you think of traditional Italian pizza… really tasty sauce, good quality cheese, and a nice chewy crust. This Illianos location to be consistent with other locations that I’ve been to which is a good thing. Try it!
