I have never been to Jersey Mikes before and went in a few weeks back for a quick lunch. I ordered a chicken ceaser wrap, and a sub for my husband to go. Both the wrap and the sandwich were packed, very good portions for the price. The bathroom(women’s) was clean but could have used a mop on the floors as they were a little sticky. The staff was friendly and they offered me a «Shores Reward» for every 10 subs you get 1 free. I think it is a great idea that they offer you to leave a tip, however it being included as the first question after you swipe your debit/credit card is a little obnoxious… just my opinion. Overall good location and solid food.

I really wanted to like this place… Not that I don’t like it, but there is nothing spectacular about it. I bought a giant Cheesesteak sub for myself, and was still hungry. The sandwich was ok, but I was disappointed. Ever wanted the perfect Cheesesteak only to get something similar to one of those boxed steaks(Steakums) from the supermarket? Then you’ll know exactly what I mean. Skip the cheesesteak(or save money and buy Steakums, cause that’s exactly what it tasted like). Bought my wife a chicken wrap that she did not like, so I ended up eating that too. The wrap was a little on the strange side(taste wise) — not bad — not good, but more of a «wtf exactly are you trying to taste like?» I gave this 3 stars because the teen liked his sandwich enough for him to say: «Best sandwich ever!!! This week» Pretty pricey though for sandwiches — considering I could have gone next door to Big Y for one of their ginormous«In-Vince-Ible» sandwich. Would I go back? Likely to try something new. Hopefully *these* guys won’t feed me a line about: «We get people who drive all the way from Jersey for these subs» line some other vendor tried feeding me.

I didn’t realize that Jersey Mikes had come to Connecticut. I travel to Georgia for work so I’ve been to the one there and it’s pretty good. Well, it’s a chain sandwich place but certainly better than many peers(Subway, I’m talking to you!). My favorite is the Baja Chicken wrap which is pretty good. I had the Chicken Philly and that was decent too. Overall it seems fresher and better than many chain sandwich places. It’s a little slower than some because they have a grill and sandwiches seem custom made. The one in Meriden is in a strip mall next to a gym and there’s generally plenty of parking. Prices are on the higher end for chain sandwich places but hey, you get what you pay for. If you’re in the area and are looking for something different give this place a shot.

I like this place. Though I have yet to physically set foot in the joint. My roomie brings me home a sub from here once in a while when he gets a hankering for a good sandwich. My favorite is the #9. The small is huge for me and I usually get two meals out of it. It’s totally worth a try.

I haven’t been to a Jersey Mikes since I lived in CA, so naturally I was really excited. The sub was definitely as good as I remember them being however the staff needs a little help in the customer service department. At first I thought it might be because they were newer but when it comes down to it, I don’t really see that as an excuse to be unfriendly and make our decisions feel rushed(so the cashier can hook his girlfriend up with a free sub, who was in having her study session right there in front of the fountain soda machine.) All in all I’m sure we will be back because it’s a huge step up from Subway — fresh bread, fresh cut or cooked meat and fresh vegetables. Hopefully we will catch a different shift of employees and have a better experience next time.

Only tried once so far… I had turkey in the smallest size… ordered it Mike’s way. very good and just enough for lunch… ny husband got the medium roast beef and proclaimed it «excellent». Prices not great but not bad either… we will return.

Subs are good, I would say it’s a step above subway and definately worth trying. Subs are huge, so go for the small. The large feeds 3 people EASY. wish they had some more healthy options on the menu.

My first time at Jersey Mikes & the grinders were good. I tried their Italian but was disappointed to find soggy over ripened tomatoes. Their dining room was dirty & litered with garbage especially around the soda fountain area & floor. Overall it was a good first experience.

Jersey Mikes is a glorified fast food grinder shoppe. And they rock at it! Far superior to its neighboring counterparts(Subway and DiBellas I’m looking at you!) — fresh sliced cold lunch meats, a rocking steak and cheese and Rosemary Parmesan bread are the stars of this chain. I would go as far as saying the consistency and quality of this chain beat out even locally owned spots. Only gripe I have with Jersey Mikes is they started a points program(I remember the old school stamp on a card at their Branford location) and the employee told me about it AFTER I bought 5 giant subs. Those suckers are $ 15 a piece, I could’ve raked in the points, but you know. Working out the kinks. That won’t stop me from getting my #13, Mikes way on Rosemary Parmesan.

Had the buffalo chicken philly cheese steak and it was pretty good. Everything was Made fresh on the spot and they even slice their meats in front of you for most of their sandwiches. For toppings the selections are very slim. For the size of sandwich I’m getting they are a little bit pricey but worth it. The place looks like to me a subway and a deli put together.

Let me start by mentioning that this is simply another fast food deli like Subway or DiBellas, and in some ways they are better, but in other ways fall short. To compare a place like Jersey Mike’s to «mom and pop» delis wouldn’t be fair. Although I will say the staff has been friendly and talkative each time I’ve gone. I’ve been to this location three times since they opened and have had two cold subs and one hot sub. I’m convinced that when it comes to Jersey Mike’s, cold subs are the way to go. The meats are sliced as you order and they put a decent amount on the sub, especially when compared to Subway, which by the way should not even be a place you consider with all of the great options CT has to offer. They don’t seem to offer as many toppings as other competitors, but there’s enough of a variety to make a good sub. The«Mike’s Way» dressing, which seems like a seasoned oil and vinegar mix, adds a nice touch to the sub. I’ve only had the one hot sub, but feel like this is where they fall short. The amount of meat in the sub appears to be much less when it’s hot, which could be a result of the cooking process, but you definitely notice it and bread begins to overwhelm the sandwich. You also want to be sure to proactively specify what toppings you want on your hot sub because if you don’t say anything, they don’t appear to ask and all you’ll get is what’s in the menu description. From a price perspective, I think they’re reasonable. I’m not sure what people expect to pay for a sub but it seems to me that most of these places are within a couple dollars of each other in price. And yes they have a «giant» size sub which most would think is excessive, but did ever consider this may be the preferred choice for two people to share or one person who eats half for lunch and the other half for dinner. It’s not rocket science people. Would I recommend giving them a try? Sure. I’ve enjoyed some of their subs and will probably go back another day. If you’re expecting a 5-star deli experience(not even sure what that is), then realign your expectations or move on…

I ordered a chicken ceasar wrap and it was terrible. I took one bite and spit it in the trash. The chicken tastes like rubber and the lettuce was warm and soggy. I was so excited going in, but then I realized that I should have just gone 5 minutes down the road to DaBellas and gotten a sub or wrap there. At least their prices are reasonable and their food is way better qaulity. I will never go back there and I would never advise anyone to order food their either, unless you like disappointments. Over $ 17 for 2 crappy sandwhiches. Waste of time, energy, and money even walking into the store.

So glad Jersey Mike’s decided to come to Meriden! I’ve only been to the Branford location once but remember liking their subs. I love their shredded lettuce and bread. This location is new and clean and the employee that made my sandwich really put his heart into it. Great sub place that slices their meat right in front of you.

SERIOULSY overpriced mediocre quality small subs… Quality is barely better than Subway for twice the price. There are 3 sizes of sub. The largest is «giant.» I don’t have a huge appetite and that sounded like too much so I got the«regular» assuming, like Subway you get a half or a whole. FYI, giant is a whole, regular is half and mini is a scrap! I got turkey bacon with provolone. It was 3 slices of cheese, 6 thin slices of turkey and 2 sad little pieces of pre-cooked bacon that came out of a vat of other sad little bacons… they didn’t even warm it on the fancy flat top grill. Over $ 8 later with no drink or chips I felt taken advantage of… and hungry… Overall serioulsy disappointing, I won’t be back…

Haven’t been to a Jersey Mike’s since my Jersey days 10 years ago. Very glad they’ve opened up close to home! Compared to Subway, Dibella’s or most any other chain(or most anywhere else you can get a sandwich) Jersey Mike’s is 5-star. The meat is freshly slices in front of you and then, if you get it Mike’s way, it comes with lettuce, tomato, onions, red wine vinegar and an olive oil mix with fresh spices. Today I got the Special, sliced chicken breast with provolone and bacon minus the vinegar. I got it on wheat. It didn’t disappoint. Being right next to my gym, I can see being here often taking part in wraps and salads, too.
