Logan has been great for me over the years. I started getting steel from the bargain barn for repair projects and my creations around the home and yard. I now also get my steel from then for work. They deliver and provide fabrication services. They are a true old school one stop shop with great service.

Hubby and I go here often to get all different kinds of steel. He is rebuilding a Dodge Powerwagon Carryall. He has been very pleased with everything. The workers are very helpful and friendly.

Logan Steel has ubiquitous billboards all around southern CT. They advertise it as a place where you can buy«10 pounds to 10,000 pounds of steel» and they aren’t kidding. They have steel, aluminum, and alloys of all shapes and sizes. They can cut or fabricate material for you if you bring in the plans. I go there for the bargain bin steel stock. It’s literally a «steal» at $ 1 a pound, much cheaper than what you get at Lowes /Home Depot and considerably thicker gauge and heavier duty. I get bar stock and sheet metal there for my various projects. You can get a student discount if you’re a student or a teacher. Yippee! So if you’re a welder or metal sculpture and need metal stock, Logan is the place to go in Southern CT. p. s. Unilocal!doesn’t have a category for what Logan does, so I put it in «home and garden» which isn’t quite right. p. p. s. Don’t ever, ever, ever ask to use their bathroom(especially if you’re female). It’s the seventh level of hell. Maybe guys can use it since you wouldn’t have to touch any surfaces, but it’s truly disgusting. There’s a loo at the local convenience store across the street.
