Small and personal with an excellent friendly staff and quality food. Kitchen was efficient and food was hot. Price was very reasonable.

They only deliver to the east side of Meriden which is good for us. I’ve noticed though that they don’t really answer the phone and we’ve called numerous times within business hours. Pizza is pretty good. The large is cut into squares. The shrimp scampi has a lot of chunks of garlic. As much as I love garlic, I like the flavor, not chunks of it. All in all, if they would answer their phone, they’d get a better rating.

The food was pretty mediocre. I had the manicotti which tasted like it was frozen. The bread they serve with the meal was actually good. It was crusty on the outside & soft in the middle. The salad bar was comparable to almost any other very basic small salad bar with pre-made pasta salads. The staff was friendly. I wouldn’t eat here again.

This was absolutely the best greek style pizza I have had in a long time. Incredibly delicious and well-seasoned meatballs. Service was good as well.

Zorba’s is much more than pizza! Tonight I tried the chicken and feta cheese dinner, it was out of this world!!! My taste buds were in heaven going from the feta cheese the mushrooms then of coarse the chicken breast. Nice place friendly staff and reasonable prices. You will never leave here hungry. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!!!

I had never tried Greek pizza until eating at Zorbas 2 months ago. I’ve been back at least once a week since. The owners are great, the waitresses are pleasant and the food is amazing. If the location was somewhere a bit more inviting, this place would blow away any other restaurant in the area; hands down!

I’m not entirely sure how to write this review, as I’ve been a customer of Zorba’s since before I had a choice of what was for dinner. Their pizza has graced our dinner table so many times, that it’s what I would consider comfort food! Eating in-house is always a good experience, as they keep their facility neat and clean. The food always hits the spot, and the staff is attentive and friendly. Always a thumbs up!

Zorba’s is a great place for family and friends. Not only is the pizza excellent, but the dinners are delicious. One of my favorites is the Chicken ala Zorba. The new management is doing a great job in running the business. I receive friendly service as soon as I walk in the door. Consistency is key. Great job. Opa!

I don’t understand what Aaron R’s review below is saying, I love this place. The new owners are so welcoming and have such a quality taste for food. There’s a great variety of items on the menu and always have delicious specials. The restaurant is nice for an intimate dinner or a group celebration — plenty of space and service is always so pleasant. Delicious Greek cuisine. Definitely recommend!

Very sad to say that this place has plummeted downhill since the new owners took over. Some examples from our most recent and final meal at Zorbas: The pizza sauce tasted and looked like it came out of a cheap spaghetti can. I used to think that Zorbas pizza was some of the best in CT, but now its sadly below average. The French fries were clearly out of a frozen bag and looked and tasted like frozen Stop and Shop fries. My wife’s fish Sole was overcooked and still had most of the skin attached. She was only able to eat a few bites before she had to give up. Even the salad bar wasnt as up to par as it used to be. A real shame.

I’ve been eatin here since I was a kid. Used to be one of my wife and I’s fav’s. Not anymore, this place is a sinking ship. The long time Manager has left to open his own establishment and the loss is noticeable to say the least. The only thing saving them from a 1 star was the pizza was still pretty good. Everything else was problematic. Warm ice water, «roten» salad bar, leaking ceiling, over cooked — hours old pasta. Unless your getting the pizza I’d stear clear, and even then I don’t recomend dinning in. As for me and my family, we will not be returning.

This place is pretty mediocre, but that doesn’t stop me from buying lunch there when I was too lazy to pack my own in the morning. I usually get one of their specials, and whenever they make anything with meatballs or their veggie wrap, they are quite good. The other meals(chicken, ravioli, subs, other pastas) fall short from being satisfying. I agree with another reviewer in that the pizza is insanely greasy, and the cheese is always falling off of the pie. I don’t think it’s worth a trip, but maybe when you’re in a bind.

The pizza is stellar if you’re a fan of Pizza Hut’s signature style but would much prefer your greasy pizza to be cut into an awkward grid. Mmm, sloppy pizza squares! The gyro-to-go was okay, just what one might expect from a street cart.

Zorba’s Pizza is much more than pizza. Every night they have entrees with a Mediterranean flavor – fish, beef, chicken. Besides these, I love their small pizzas, such as clams casino and gyro. Service here is generally excellent. Their salad bar is much better than indicated in one of the reviews. See for yourself. I’m surprised to see only three stars being awarded in some of the other reviews, especially when the reviewers seemed to be satisfied overall. I know I’ve been satisfied for years eating at Zorba’s.

We’ve been here at least a dozen times over the years, and I would’ve given them a 5 not too long ago, but recently they’ve lost a couple of stars from me. Dirty atmosphere and it seems like they give less food now for the same price. Even so, we still keep coming back.

Warm and friendly, a «happy to go if I’m not paying» and«might think about it if I am paying» place. One thing to know is that the entrance to the parking lot is quite narrow: it seems that wider trucks regularly drive onto the curb to avoid deadlock with entering cars, and that even two relatively svelte vehicles have to watch it. Not a big deal: I didn’t see side-mirrors scattered everywhere, but it’s narrow enough to note. I walked in and a friendly hostess bustled up to guide me to a table: I sat near the fireplace, which was quite pleasant on the cold evening. The waitress asked if I’d like anything to drink fairly promptly(perhaps considerately giving me some time for my companion to join me); our waterglasses generally stayed filled through the night. My companion arrived and ordered pasta with shrimp and scallops. Pasta was well-cooked, the seafood was fine, and perhaps best, the sauce was flavorful without that one-dimensional saltiness that seems to plague homey-Italian establishments. A good meal!

I tried Zorba’s for the first time because we wanted a good gyro. We were immediately disappointed to find out that you have to pay the full $ 6.95 for a salad bar with the gyro, even though the menu says that it is $ 3.15 with a pita. The waitress explained that even though the gyro is on a pita, it is not a pita(?). After seeing the salad bar, it was certainly not worth even the $ 3.15. It was a bowl of iceburg lettuce with a few veggies and a pasta salad. Our gyros were pretty good, although the meat was grilled and a little dry. The gyro was also $ 6.95 for just the gyro on a pita, no sides, which I thought was a bit expensive. When we got our check, there was a item on the bill that said«Round to the nearest nickel…$.02». Having never seen this, we had to ask what it was, to which the waitress replied that they don’t deal in pennies, so they round to the nickel. She said several restaurants do this, but it was my first time seeing it. Besides for the prices, it was a decent place and I will probably be back to try the pizza.
