Greenfield Custom Meat

Green fields is simply amazing…
I am from Boise but live in San Francisco… I dutifully make the trip to Greenfield each time I am home (which is a long trip). The Bacon, and Chorizo are not to be missed. Actually, everything here is the best you can buy. The prices are not cheap but try to find the same quality even in the Foodie Haven of SF is impossible. This place is the no doubt the best available anywhere at any price… I promise
I am almost reluctant to review them for fear that they will figure out exactly how good they are and start charging accordingly… I am a very frugal man:-)

I had greenfield butcher two cows and they didn’t trim the meat well at all. It was so gross! I had to pick through tons of gristle and fat every time I tried to eat anything. Even the hamburger had gristle in it. BLECH!!!

Bacon, ham, pork roast, summer sausage, rib eye, heaven! I keep telling people about this place, and those who already know about Greenfield’s are as happy as I am with their prices, quality and excellent service.

I am so happy to have found this place! This place has the best word-​of-​mouth marketing, and I can’t believe there’s not already a review here on Unilocal!
As a businessman and frequent traveler, I’ve eaten and many high-​end steakhouses in Chicago, New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles, but I’ve never had beef or pork that tasted better than the meat I’ve gotten fresh from Greenfield in Meridian, Idaho!
It is simply the best-​tasting meat I’ve had in my life. If you’re looking for an authentic butcher shop that can cut to order, this place is it! It’s not cheap compared to a supermarket, but the quality and service is far superior.
The owners and employees are amazing, with generations of knowledge on staff to help and assist.
I highly recommend Greenfield (as does most of the Treasure Valley — just ask around)!
