Lucky Perk Coffee

Lucky Perk is my absolute favorite of all our local coffee shops, and consistent across the board, no matter which location I’m going to. Why are they different? They feature a rotating «dessert» brew each day. No cals, lots of flavor, great aroma. I love love LOVE their dessert drips! Plus, customer service is ON POINT across the board. They are MY spot!
Food: The oatmeal is very good! It comes in a coffee cup with your choice of mix-​ins (almonds, brown sugar & cranberries – you pick 2). It’s not fancy but I really like that it’s house-​made, not a HUGE portion and not pre-​packaged. I love that they also offer a wide variety of meals (oatmeal, burritos, salads) and pastries. The breakfast burritos are very good… they’re heavy and very filling. They offer different flavors (the bacon, egg & cheese is yummy!) and serve with hot sauce if requested. The cinnamon rolls are homemade by a local gal and are SO GOOD! She does a really nice job! The frosted sugar cookies are the icing on the cake. You won’t be disappointed.
Drinks: The dessert brew! They do a good job with their lattes, hot chocolates and tea variety as well, but I love the dessert brew. It’s a new flavor each day. They also serve a decaf gingerbread tea that is so great… make it a «London Fog» by adding a splash of milk!
Atmosphere: They are always very nice and cozy for a casual catch-​up date or just a solo study session. I like the tables (high and low options) and the comfy bed couches. There’s always a variety and the fireside seating is also a bonus.
Service: The service (and dessert brew, of course!) is what keeps me coming back. The staff is always friendly, upbeat and smiling.

Healthy Hack: The dessert brew is a flavored coffee with no cals. Bonus! If you’re looking for a light but satisfying meal, ask for the oatmeal. It’s an appropriate serving and won’t tip you over the edge on calories, sugar or cost!
Tips: Ask for the dessert drip! It’s a rotating flavor ranging from vanilla to almond, etc. No cals, lots of flavor, amazing aroma. Join the text club for deals and discount alerts!

Service was okay. Not very friendly unless you are a regular… I was waiting on my coffee and a regular came in the barista gave me my coffee and then started talking to this regular customer and totally completely ignore me the fact that I also order a muffin and they forgot to give it to me until I have to wait to get their attention for them to notice me to ask for my muffin that they forgot to give me…

The barista’s attitude could use improvement but the coffee was AMAZING. I travel the country and I always order the same drink at different local and chain locations, and I was SUPER impressed with the sink I received here. The best I’ve had hands down. Would definitely recommend going!

coffee was not good. small latte, milk was over heated and scalded. couldn’t even taste the coffee. ended up filing it in #13. they did have a great quiet open space for studying with ample seating though

I’m not sure what happened here. I am a pretty regular customer and about two months ago the place seem to have a huge overhaul. All the regular girls were gone — I mean it seemed like every single one doesn’t’ work there anymore. The new staff is great but the coffee is just terrible now. I’ve gone there a bunch of times and every single time it’s been pretty bad. I think they need to teach the new staff how to make a latte! I can’t even step in there anymore. It’s too bad because I love to support local places and it’s so convenient for me, but I’ll have to start driving to a new coffee spot.

I’ve driven by this place every day for the last 6 months and have finally just tried it. I usually stick to Dutch bros down the steet or Starbucks across the freeway but figured today I would mix it up. I for a mocha freeze and love it.

This shop use to be a moxie java. So far in still has the same great coffee and the same great service.
I am giving it the same 5 stars for now and will rate it again later.
