Hein does a great job! She is fast and friendly, but also takes the time to make sure that you are happy with the color and design. I can tell it is important to her that customers are happy with the finished service. Prices are very reasonable too!

I went here for the first time… And not happy with how my nails were done!!! They didn’t even try to file down the tops of my nails after taking my old set off. So they look horrible underneath. They didn’t cut my applied nails even lengths. There are tons of bubbles in the acrylic. Which was not filed properly to be smooth or level. Or file them the right shape to my fingers or filing on the sides of my nails to have straight lines. There was gaps underneath between the applied nails and my nails. Therefore liquid got underneath my nails! Not even 4 days later the acrylic was already lifting up on almost all of my nail beds. Was extremely disappointed for being $ 35!!! There was a tv that only had political crap on. I don’t mind watching that stuff, but when I am trying to have some relaxation time… Political parties arguing on TV isn’t my ideal time. Also, not accepting credit cards at all, having to use the ATM machine there without a choice… Icing on the cake. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I have gone here twice with my daughter. Both times the women who did our pedicure and wax were rude. I will not return these people need a lesson in customer service…

I do not treat myself to a pedicure, as often as I would love to get one. Nor do I ever splurge and get a manicure too. I was feeling in a pampering kind of mood however, and thought why not? Of the few nail salons I’ve visited, none have stood out as outstanding. Until now!!! The overall look and feel of the salon was inviting, clean and well decorated. Cute little waiting area, very comfy massage chairs, and fun art deco bowls to soak your feet. I did go all out and get a mani and a pedi. Two very nice ladies waited on me. One did my toes, while the other did my fingers. I was blown away at how meticulous they both were. Taking their time, inspecting their work, redoing areas they considered unacceptable. Not once did they try to up sell me! No do you want a flower, do you want sugar scrub, do you want your eyebrows waxed? They both gave awesome foot and hand massages, spending much more time than I expected. So nice!!! Honestly, a place like this really makes me reconsider my frequency to returning. This might just be my new monthly treat to myself!
Pricing: I felt the price was reasonable. And I think comparable to other salons. $ 50 for mani with gel polish and pedi with regular polish

I visited Modern for the first time this morning and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice, open atmosphere and friendly staff. I paid $ 25 for the best pedicure I’ve ever had… in my life. The nail tech was meticulous and took her time; ensuring my tootsies looked perfect when I left. The massage was amazing… she spent probably 15 minutes on each foot/​leg. Only downside is the construction next door… its located in a newer shopping center and the noise was pretty overwhelming. This shouldn’t be an issue for long. Other places charge way more for not nearly as good of a job. I will definitely be back!

Was not impressed. To me, you go to a salon to relax, not sit and get your nails done only to see two big screen TV’s playing football. Honestly? That’s not really the part that bothered me. I paid to get a manicure, and all I got was my nails cut, filed (crookedly), and painted. They didn’t trim my cuticles or do a hand massage or anything. All said and done, my nails look ok from a distance. Up close you can see smudges. Not what I would expect out of a professional place.
