Went to Twigs at Village in Meridian with friends last night and had a great dining experience. The waitress was tops and the food very good. We had, of all things, the lb of Fries, for an appetizer and all 5 of us agreed that they were actually the best fries we’d ever experienced and I’ve ate a lot of fries over the years. Cooked to perfection, seasoned just right and the ranch that we got(along with ketchup) to dip them in was just right too. Then, for entrees, we had Penne dish with Chicken, which is large enough for two. We split it and it was very filling and I’m a big eater. One of our party had the Shrimp Salad and loved it also. Second, the waitress was courteous, knowledgable about the entire menu and very honest. If she didn’t like a dish she told you. Also, her response about her favorite dishes was not the standard«oh, I like the such and such», which also happens to be the most expensive dish on the menu, hoping to pad her tip trying to jack up your check. This attitude is rare, but brings out the ease of tipping large in this penny pinching diner! i.e. 30%+. My earlier experiences with this establishment, soon after opening, were not nearly this good, so I have to say they have really come up and I have to give them a 5 star.

A deceiving restaurant with a nice and comfortable atmosphere but nothing flashy or standout in terms of food or drinks here. I don’t prefer the Village but coming here for a birthday party was our 4th or 5th option, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a fancier spot to eat and drink.

Terrible service, poorly made salads, orders came out wrong, missing ingredients, no hostesses available, no timely check in by services. The food was not fresh at all.

My two companions and I chose Twigs Bistro and Martini Bar for lunch. The Food: Beautifully presented but did not execute fully on taste… hence the 3 stars. My companions chose an appetizer of Loaded Waffle Fries. She said they were tasty. My other companion ordered a Blackened Chicken Sandwich with a side salad. He thought the sandwich was small but tasted good and the salad was over-dressed. I ordered the Ancho Shrimp Tacos. The tacos were palatable but uninspiring. I also ordered a side-salad that was swimming in salad dressing. The Ambiance: Twigs probably may have gotten a 2 star rating but I was impressed with the hip, chic décor. I also loved the bar area and it’s vast display of spirits. Service: Our service was friendly and prompt. Price: Spendy for lunch. Next time I will try out Twigs for what people have raved about… the martinis. I think I may go again with girlfriends during happy hour or with a date for a drink and appetizer.

The Village is a perfect fit in Meridian, it looks and feels like Disneyland, phony and tacky. Twigs fits in perfectly in the Village. Twigs attempts to feel upscale while falling far short in execution and service. Yesterday was my second visit to Twigs. I had the full order BBQ Cobb salad. The portion size was ridiculously small, maybe 4 oz of poorly seasoned chicken on a bed of wilted brown romaine. There were bits of bacon floating in the soupy Gorgonzola dressing. The dressing itself was a watery bland preparation I would expect to find at a cafeteria salad bar. A split hard boiled egg completed the salad that was visually disappointing. Had our server bothered to check back I would have asked for some kind hot sauce to deliver any type of flavor. To say this salad was underwhelming would give it too much credit. At $ 15 Twigs should be ashamed to let a dish that looks/tastes this bad leave it’s kitchen. Two underwhelming visits to this faux haute establishment is all I will be tricked into. 1 star is being generous.

The qaulity at twigs bistro and bar is 10 stars. I’m always completely amazed on how consistent they are on the taste and presentation of food. The steak melted in my mouth. The drinks across the board are A plus. This is a restaurant that always brings there A game. Thanks for making my night wonderful.

Service has always been great, however We always sit on the bar side. Get their Jalapeño Martini… You won’t regret it!!- Especially before a movie, maybe even a rated«R» movie.

I have been here a couple of times. The service was great every time and the staff is very friendly. The food was always excellent. Tonight a had the Roast Beast, the seasoning for the meat was perfect and the veggies were cooked perfectly with a nice bite to it. I’ll be back for sure.

I was teetering on the verge of giving this a three-star review, but ended up with four when I considered the pros and cons. I always like to start with the bad news. Cons: It’s expensive. There, that’s it. It costs way more money than I care to spend on appetizers and drinks. It’s like any-damn-where you choose to eat at The Village. I have the same complaint about Yard House and Grimaldi’s(except I LOVE the food at Twigz and Grimaldi’s… not so much at Yard House). Pros: Awesome service; clean, beautiful, classy interior; great-tasting food; a good selection of drinks(even if the beer menu is a little lean, this is more of a martini /cocktail joint, anyway). If I were a lady, I’d write: «This place just SCREAMS ladies’ night!» But I’m a dude, so I’ll probably just come here once in a while with my wife before movies(yes, the fools at the cinema told us they weren’t serving food that day; we later found out they were, so I suppose it was their loss). We had the calamari appetizer(awesome, perfectly fried, great sauces including a basic-yet-killer aioli) and a flatbread(also a win; basic, but well-flavored). In short: ehhhhh!

Was unimpressed with the Yard house and came here and LOVEDIT! The waitress attitude was fun and they had great drinks for the price. I WILL return with friends.

This was my second visit to Twigs and both times I have been equally impressed. A bit on the spendy side but absolutely worth it. This visit we hit up the happy hour before seeing a movie next door. I had an amazing Moscow mule and some great apps to share. Definitely get the traditional fries with the Gorgonzola sauce. To die for!

My girlfriends and I went here for happy hour and we got a good amount of food: flatbread, tacos, and some sort of loaded waffle fries, lol. We also got a brownie sundae to end off the night. All were good. but nothing spectacular. However, our cocktails were good, I enjoyed that the most. The restaurant is pretty huge with a modern/fancy feel. The staff is nice and friendly. I would come back for happy hour cocktails again!

Drinks were good, ordered blackened chicken sandwich $ 12.50 Way, way too small! Especially for a man! Thin sliced little piece of chicken, all bread! Way too expensive for what you got!, too small! Disappointed!

Cute place located inside The Village. Outdoor seating faces the fountain and kids play area and right next to the cinema. The atmosphere was nice, it would be fun to come here for dinner or late night appetizers. We were here on a Monday for late lunch and it was pretty much empty. We ordered the Argentinean fish tacos, strawberry balsamic salad and half the pear and beet salad with chicken. They have an assortment of mocktails to choose from which was fun! The total was $ 43. Kinda spendy. Not too impressed with the tacos or the strawberry salad but the beet and pear salad was very good! Glad I ordered the ½ size because it was very hearty and filling. Next time I’m in town I wouldn’t mind coming here for dinner or dessert.

I’ve never been disappointed by my Twigs experience. The sticky cookie is worth every penny. The salads are huge. Cuban roll sand which is AMAZING. I’d get it every time if I could.

The place — I think this has become my go-to spot for fine dining in the village! Walking in, the place is super trendy with a bar area, seating area, and backroom that was open to the public but capable of holding private parties. The service — the hostess was less than friendly but our server was amazing even though she was in training! Although we had a designated waitress, other staff weren’t hesitant to step in and fill waters and help with whatever I needed which was nice and made for quick service throughout the dining experience. The food — outstanding! My date and I got the twigs house burger and the fiesta/fajita salad. I don’t know if I’ve eaten a tastier salad in Boise! The burger was cooked perfectly to medium rare with fresh toppings. The salad was crisp with lots of toppings and an amazing flavor. Our waitress even brought us a plate of pickle spears per my request! My only regret is not trying any of their signature martini’s, but I will be sure to on my next visit!

Absolutely, positively an amazing experience! The atmosphere and food was nothing short of first class! Our waitress Mandy was superb and her expertise in food choices and drinks was second to none! The decadent appetizers she recommended was mouth watering and left us in awe of what was to come. We decided to take her vast knowledge of the menu and ordered the pawn in salmon pasta and the pork dish Gucci. Needless to say every single morsel was consumed with a smile on our faces! Mandy was the cherry on the top of our dining experience at twigs! Give this woman a raise now! See my photos… I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Great service, excellent food. Made a reservation Thursday for 6:00 on Friday, March 13th for my mom’s birthday. We were immediately seated, menus brought, drink orders taken. We needed a bit more time to place meal orders, the menu is so impressive! I had The Tuscan Pizza(which reheated amazingly 2 days later)– so flavorful, and on a thin crust. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Mom loved the Pepper Salmon, and hubs was very pleased with the Bistro Steak Salad. Knowing that it was Mom’s birthday, they offered us a free dessert, and we are signing up for the Loyalty Club card under her name. The«Sticky Cookie» is amazing. Definitely will be back, and highly recommended!

I rarely get out to Meridian. I mean, why? I live a $ 7.00 cab ride from downtown Boise – why do I need to go to out to Meridian? The Village in Meridian opened and I was unmoved. Again, what do I need there that I can’t get right here in B-town? Let me be clear – I’m not a Boise snob… just more a fan of convenience. I live in the north end… let me get what I can get right here in my hood and the rest be damned, thank you very much. Theeeen I heard a martini bar was opening in The Village. Now… far be it from me to travel beyond a few miles for shopping of any kind. Really, it’s more than I can bear to deal with the traffic. BUT… a martini bar? I have been known to travel quite a distance on the promise of a good cocktail. I’ve structured entire vacations on the allure of exotic cocktails… so…temptation finally got the better of me and on their second day of operation, off to Twigs I went(hey…I waited a whole day and a half… remarkable restraint, I’d say). I am so glad I did. They have a menu that includes a variety of cocktails and then they have their dazzling martini menu featuring 36 signature martinis. So much to choose from! I finally decided on their Razitini(vodka, Bols Black Raspberry Liqueur, lime) and my dining companion had their French 75(Bombay dry, muddled lemon, float of champagne) – both were sensational. I would have appreciated a healthier pour… but I’m a bit of a greedy lush. As good as the cocktails were, however, they are not what will have me trekking to Meridian on a now more regular basis than I’ll care to admit. No. We can blame that on the Twig Signature Fries with gorgonzola fondue. Gorgonzola! Fondue! My people! The fries come seasoned with salt, pepper, rice vinegar, a light dusting of cayenne, and fresh chopped basil. Perfect. The gorgonzola… well…if gorgonzola is the cheese of the gods(which it is… don’t mess with me on this people), then fondue is the perfected presentation of said cheese. To quote our(quite lovely, attentive, and perfect in every way) server, «the gorgonzola fondue is liquid gold. I’d like to take it home and put it on everything.» I completely agree. It is just. that. good. I also enjoyed their pear and roasted beet salad. I got the half order, which was plentiful. My dining companion ordered the full, which was huge. This hearty salad is beautifully fresh and flavorful(and also features gorgonzola crumbles). The pear vinaigrette is light and lovely. The pears are fresh and sliced beautifully thin. And… the final lovely touch is the chilled bowl in which it is served. This really makes a difference as you get to the bottom and you find the leaves have retained their deliciously fresh and cool crispness. Beautifully designed, Twigs maintains an ambiance that is chic and modern. There is really nothing to dislike… and no reason what-so-ever to delay… Get to it!
