I have been eating pizza for over 50 years and Blaze Pizza rocked my world. I was wondering how when I heard they include all the ingredients you want and don’t charge you extra — I was shocked. A build your own pizza for only $ 7.55, are we back in the 80’s. All the employees are incredible and happy to work there. I had a conversation with the manager who was informative and someone who has built a winning team for your dinning experience.

This place rocks. It’s like a subway but for pizza. You can select a signature pizza or for $ 7.55 you can build a pizza with what ever toppings your little heart desires. The pizza is cooked at a very hot temperature so it doesn’t take long and the pizza comes out with a crunchy yummy crust

If you want gluten free crust, most pizza places fall way short. Blaze does not. Their GF crust is excellent. It’s thin and crisp and doesn’t taste like sawdust. Pizza may be the hardest part of being GF, but Blaze makes it easier. I also love that they don’t nickle and dime you to death by charging extra for toppings. Get all the toppings you want for the same price!

A family favorite, we love how fast everything happens and how we can just add whatever toppings we want. Always tasty.

I was pleasantly surprised by Blaze Pizza. I’ve had mixed experiences with quick-fire pizzas. So I proceeded with caution on my first visit. It wasn’t worth worrying about. Blaze delivered. I got a Meat Eater-pepperoni, meatballs, red onion and mozz on spicy red sauce. All for under eight bucks and a sizable personal pan that had me stuffed. What I loved the most? They don’t charge for extra toppings. None of this two dollars for basil leaves stuff. So I piled on olives, basil, mushrooms, and artichoke for nothing extra. Goes to show how much is added to a restaurant experience when people aren’t nickel and dimed. Ambiance was typical quick service modern. Employees were friendly and they make a point of using your name as they make your pie. I’d definitely visit again!

I always eat at a restaurant twice to give the benefit of the doubt and This place was trash both times. Both signature pizzas were bland, and runny. Also my girlfriends salad came in a plastic box just like you’d get from a gas station. Except gas station salads are put together better. Bummer deal.

I cannot say enough good things about Blaze pizza! It is so yummy and fast!!! You get your own personal pizza and you get to choose your toppings. Their Caesar salad is pretty decent also. I would say customer service is really great here. They are ‘fast fired’ like they say. Price wise is pretty good too, $ 7 for your own pizza and to personalize it. My husband and I call it the chipotle of pizza because of the personalizing and the quickness. I recommend getting the pesto sauce drizzled on at the end!

Best pizza ever, love this place!!! It’s like a subway for pizza. You pick the sauce, the cheese and toppings! Don’t split it, cause it’s so good you will eat the whole thing.

Excellent customer service, quick, helpful and fun people. You can’t beat it for the price, grab some smore’s and stay for a brew and pizza. Quality, fresh ingredients, this is up there with the best of the fire brick oven pizzeria’s that cost twice as much!

This place was surprisingly good! The prices were reasonable, and you could get pizza with pretty much any toppings on it that you like. You can either order one of their«specialty» pizzas, or do a «build-your-own». I would definitely recommend doing the BYO, since you will likely see some ingredients along the way that you hadn’t thought of when you ordered the«specialty». I went overboard getting pretty much every option they had for meat on my pizza, topped with a few olives. The bacon really added something to the pizza. Yum. The crust is thin, and the sauce is delicious. The staff is friendly, and you get the pizzas really fast, thanks to their 12000 degree fire’d up pizza oven. My only criticism is that they don’t have anchovies.

I love this place. Great deal and pizza is really good. I did realize something, when it is busy, pizzas tend to be under cooked as I am sure there is limited oven space. If busy, make sure to ask for your pizza to be well done. I’ve been in there when it is slow and my pizza comes out crispy. I’ve also been in there when it was busy and my pizza was soggy. I have had more good experiences than bad but just something I have picked up on in the last 6 times I went. Tip. They will try and rush you through but if/when ordering a pizza with unlimited toppings, don’t feel bad to ask them to put more cheese around the edges and more toppings, fyi. Great place.

My husband and I come here at least every other week. We love it! You can’t beat $ 7.25 for a decent size pizza with as many toppings as you want! This place is usually packed but the service is really fast. The pizza oven only takes 90 seconds. The pizza size is enough to fill you up and take some home for the next day. The spicy red sauce with lots of veggies and the pesto drizzle on top is my favorite combo. I definitely recommend trying Blaze out!

I love this place. You can find me here at least once(usually twice) a week, sometimes 3 times to be perfectly honest. The unlimited toppings makes it so I never get tired of coming here. I can have completely different pizzas every time I go and it is excited. The staff are great, I do get really excited with certain people are working the line because they will automatically put more on pizzas but you can always ask for more. If you enjoy cheese pizza it is less expensive and still delicious. Also their blood orange drink is scrumptious. I love pizza and I love this place

Edit: They tried to make this right. Ultimately I didn’t accept their offer but I’ll at least give them 3 stars instead of 1. I used to be a huge fan of Blaze. Until tonight. I ordered some pizzas to go a few hours ahead of time and turns out, I was going to be a little earlier than I expected. I called ahead to ask them to move the pickup time from 4:40pm to 4:30pm. A very annoyed guy tells me they don’t do that and I have to come in, have the pizzas made while I’m there, and then leave instructions with a cashier to have my order canceled at 4:40pm. Okay… so I poiitely asked if he could take my order now, and I would come right over and take care of it. He said no, online orders only. I again said I wouldn’t be able to make it for my original online order time and could they please change it… again no. So I didn’t make it for my pizza pickup because I frankly couldn’t and they wouldn’t do ANYTHING to help me. This results in my wife getting a call around 6:30pm from an angry manager saying we would be charged for the pizza either way(you have to put your credit card info in when you order). Extremely unprofessional. I ate there 3 times a week minimum and now I will never EVER go back. So much lost revenue for this place. The owner has always been rude, but the older guy who seems to be the general manager is a great guy. However, I will never go back. All my co-workers who go I will make sure never go back. And I will take every opportunity to make sure Blaze is not patronized by anyone I know. I will also be disputing the charge on my credit card since I did everything reasonable I could to let them know I needed my pickup time change. Disappointing ending to an otherwise great experience.

Coming from a health-nut, I wish that they served more pizza and salad because I’d be a frequent visitor to Blaze(my husband definitely is already!). For a fully customizable pizza that’s ready in 3-minutes, it’s affordable and lives up to every expectation. Food: each pizza is unique and totally crafted by you. Looking for inspiration? Try one of their house favorites. We typically like to make our own pizza with toppings like ovalini, sausage and green pepper. The pizza, for how darn fast it’s ready, is actually very good and serves up a giant portion for the cost. The crust is thin and crispy and the oven gives it the right amount of flavor. I typically order a salad. The salads have TONS of greens and not too many toppings but I’m pleased with their portions, there is always enough for us to share or take half home for a 2nd meal. One wish that I had, being a health nut, is that they had more options. I crave a hot bowl of soup or delicious sides, and the fact that Blaze only offers pizza and salad, which makes for a pretty limited menu, is a bummer to me. Drinks: self-serve soda fountain Atmosphere: this is the only aspect where Blaze falls short to me. Since it’s a subway-style pizzeria, the seating area is pretty simple. It’s typically packed when we go so I feel like I’m shuffling through a cafeteria and then don’t have anywhere that’s really comfortable to eat. But hey, that’s just me! Service: always fast and friendly! Happy Hour Offerings: n/a Healthy Hack: not feeling like pizza? Grab a salad. More than enough for 2 and/or a leftover portion. Tips: n/a

Loved this place. So much variety, food is fast, delicious, and fresh! I was a first timer, and they explained everything very well. Restaurant was clean, and employees were helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back! Very delicious food, and excellent service! If I had one complaint, it would be that the crushed garlic on my pizza was all in one location, which made for a pretty distasteful bite, so they could maybe do a better job at spreading toppings evenly. But again, that is a VERYMINOR complaint and I truly LOVED this place, we will definitely be back!

I posted another photo last night and realized that I hadn’t written a review yet. Dad, hubby and I love the pizza here. That’s the most important thing about a pizza place, no? And at $ 7.25 apiece, we can each order a pizza exactly how we like it, eat half and take the rest home for another meal. The $ 7.25 price, by the way, includes as many toppings as you like. It’s Subway-style, so you can see the various toppings behind the glass partition. So far, all of the toppings I have tried tasted great and were fresh. I like that they include things like fresh mozzarella(ovalini), fresh basil, and other fun stuff like caramelized onions and roasted garlic. Don’t forget the saucy drizzles like Balsamic vinegar or pesto! The crust is very thin, but that’s how they can get it to cook in only 3 minutes. They don’t serve beer, but they have a very nice selection of sodas and other drinks. They have taps of lemonade and blood orange lemonade, too. The atmosphere is purposefully loud. There are hardwood tables and hardwood chairs… so I take it that they want us to chow down and move right along. That’s fine with me. Take-out boxes are pre-assembled and ready to grab at the beverage station. There’s a nicely-sized patio area for when weather permits, but it sits right up against busy Eagle Road. Throughout my many visits, I have found the staff to be friendly and the restaurant to be clean.

To say it plainly, Blaze has one of the best tasting pizzas and best prices you’ll find in Meridian. As the village shopping area grows and new business pop up I’m always excited to try new things. Blaze has a completely fun and unique take on pizza building. Is very similar to Chipotle or Subway. You can choose your own toppings and unlike chipotle you aren’t charged more for asking for more stuff. You can load up three or four cheeses and all the meats. It’s completely up to you. Having a fixed price for this was the best part. Even at most pizza parlors they will charge for each additional topping. At 7.25 it’s a steal. The best part though is that flavor wise it blows away most pizza joints. I’m not usually a thin crust eater, but this one is amazing. I eat every bite. It’s similar to Casanova, another thin crust fire oven pizza parlor, but I like blaze more. I hope you get a chance to try this new joint.

Tortured ear drums and aversion to sardine can seating trump tickled tastebuds which means it is unlikely I’ll be back to Blaze. The good news at this Meridian outpost of the chain is the thin crust, quick fired(cooks in 180 seconds) pizza is far better than my hubby and I expected it to be. More good news is the young staff, all of whom seem relatively new to retail food service, are friendly and eager. Both of those good news things keep this rating from sinking to two stars because in a simple measure of different strokes for different folks, we both said«you must be kidding» about what we think is pretty awful space planning and the gawdawful loud, that is LOUD, music on the sound system. It is one thing to get a good buy on decent pizza but it is another thing to enjoy eating it in the restaurant’s surroundings. At Blaze I get the first thing and not the second thing. Still, they gave us «buy one get one» coupons for future visits. Never one to set aside any free offer(«free is best» he says), my hubby may venture back on his own for a BOGO take out pair. But he’ll do that without me and keeping in mind my Unilocal friend Mick L’s good counsel that Blaze pizza is best when eaten at the point of creation. CATTLECHUTEMEETSARDINECAN Space planning here made me stop right at the door and wonder, «What’s up with this». Tightly spaced tables straight ahead, sardines might have more room in some cans than you can at some of the tables, you are obliquely and intuitively directed by that«barricade» to the left to a cattle chute arrangement that will take you up to the counter to place your order. ORDERPROCESS Although they have little menus right at the start of the chute, some do not know to take them or perhaps have time to review them so there can be a bit of a wait while the delightful staff folks behind the counter explain the schtick then take the order and assemble the pizza before greeting the next in line to explain the schitck then… SCHTICK The schtick is that one can order an 11″(?), personal size pizza(note we found it amply fed two lighter eaters so another good news thing here) with a choice or red sauce, spicy red sauce or white sauce and an unlimited number of toppings of one’s choosing for only $ 7.25. Plain cheese pizza and pizza with one topping are both under six bucks, but otherwise one may order from a handful of house specials or create one’s own pizza with literally as much of anytthing as one wants and pay the flat $ 7.25 fee. Which means a good amount of hmming and yahooing from folks in line as they have the toppings piled on. THEDRILL After you’ve walked down the cafeteria style line(think Subway or Chipotle) to have your pizza made and after you pay for it, you are instructed to stay near as they will call your name 180 seconds after they put it in the oven. You take your own pizza to your table and you bus your own when finished eating. PIZZA We are less is more types in terms of pizza toppings, different strokes, and selected a house speciality called Red Vine(a Margherite of sorts) which is red sauce, fresh ovalini mozzarella and fresh basil added before oven and out of oven is topped with quartered cherry tomatoes. We asked for and received a sprinkling of fresh arugula as finishing too. The thin pizza crust was good and so were the toppings. The time in oven was just right to get it cooked just so. Too bad the vibe was so uncomfortable. VIBE Hard surfaces mean noise to start with and with ear splitting music cranked up high, well… you know the outcome. Add in being cheek to jowl with the people dining next too you and well… my friend says she is too old and too rich for that kind of discomfort. I am just too old. I’d rather pay the eleven bucks or so for a good Margherite pizza elsewhere that feeds three and comes with table service and relaxing ambiance. Yes. I know this makes me a crumudgeon. So it is. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: In the lot right outside which is shared by Noodle and Company and a couple of other businesses. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in and throughout but tight tables may make path of travel tough for a wheelchair user or someone pushing a stroller. That said, a man using a wheelchair was able to maneuver on the day of my visit. Mostly standard height seating at tables. 3) SALADSTOO: Prepackaged salads are between the end point of ordering pizza and the cash register for check out. There were three options as I recall, Caesar, Arugula with beets and goat cheese and one other. The arugula salad contained fresh ingredients but the house vinaigrette tucked in a little pastic containter was too oily and the too small for the contents container in which the salad is presented made it nearly impossible to eat it without it spilling all over the table. Serveware is plastic. 4) CLEANUP: Hats off ot the staff who were working diligently to wipe up messy tables and keep things tidy in the turnover.

What will they think of next? A pizza made like a subway sandwich. I was not sure I would like this new concept. Well I will tell you it is very cool and I am a big fan! It’s fun and the pizza is very tasty! It’s very simple, any sauce, any cheese, any vegetables, and ALL the meat I want! $ 7.25! And the pizza is thin crust and takes just a few minutes. Everyone gets their our pizza just the way YOU like it. The staff all were happy to explain and made the experience kind of fun. This will be a fun place to take a group of people or a bunch of kids! This is definitely not your traditional pizza place! And I’m ok with that. Down side. No beer! And no TVs. Oh well. I will still be going back this weekend with the kids!
