Dake’s Drug Store

Very nice! They just got a new candy selection added and the staff is nice.

I love this pharmacy! Everyone knows me and cares about me there. My prescriptions are always ready for me and If need be they will deliver, at no charge ! They are my neighborhood drugstore I can’t imagine going back to a CVS!

What would possess me to review a pharmacy? I think the best answer to that question is another question. Why have pharmacies become such annoying corporate places? The answer to that is = With the emergence of CVS, RIte Aid, Duane Reade (NYC) Walgreens and the mega box stores pharmaces, filling a prescription has become a really cold, disconnected experience.
Enter… Dakes
Dakes is in my opinion a Norman Rockwell Pharmacy, you hand them your scrip and they fill it and thats that. It’s also service with a smile. The main pharmacist whose name escapes me is a really pleasant guy and always helpful. He even helped me out when one of my Dr’s flaked and wouldn’t return his call for a prescription. The little store has just the right amount of stuff on offer for colds, backaches, headaches, etc, etc. There seem to also be some supplies for people that have just had procedures. My favorite being the large soft toilet seat which always makes me pray that I never need its services in my own life at ANY POINT.
Dakes is a small town pharmacy with a straight forward approach and fair pricing.
Gotta love Dakes.
