Gyro Palace

My name is Matt and George the owner knows me I’ve been going there everyday for their delicious gyros falafel sandwich. They use really good fluffy pita carved meat or basically any style, their home made yogurt sauce is one of the best, you can compare it to any good long island dinner without the liquid. Ask for extra napkins a cus you will want to different ur face into those fresh veggies and meat or fried green falafel. Wrapped in foil then in wax and again in foil so it won’t break up. I’ve been all over, and Queens has some very good stands. But I just love this place u call them it ready in 5 mins. Large fries are so cheap like 5 dollars. Enjoy

Great gyros and great staff. Come here for my lunch breaks w 3 – 4 ppl and they get everything right every time with a short time period to work w while busy.

Each time I’m here, I’m never disappointed! I was going to get my order to go but, decided to have lunch at a table. I ordered a lunch special, Gyro with sweet potato fries.
The dish came out piping hot and was super fresh! I enjoyed it immensely! The waitress was super friendly and the owner is a gentleman who is easy on the eyes!
With my iced tea, the tab was $ 11.90. I consider that reasonable. My portions were generous and I paid a bit xtra for the sweet fries.
Looking forward to returning!

We have been back several times and enjoy the Greek platters very much. The service is quick and we are here at least every 2 weeks. The food has been consistently good and we love the fresh fish and also whole wheat pita that they serve.

We are regulars at Gyro Palace. We enjoy the food and are always treated well. The standards like gyro and falafel are done right. Great for takeout or eating in albeit a small restaurant.

I loved the food there, but unfortunately my boyfriend wasn’t a fan. I guess it was just a taste preference.

Ordered takeout from her. Was ready in 10 minutes for me to pick up. Loved the pita. The chicken soulvaki sandwich was great. Loved their Tzatziki sauce too. The fries were good too.

Whooooooohh… This place is good. Went her because my regular place was closed for renovations.

My office in Freeport orders from here every so often, they charge a «delivery fee» because were not in the same town… we’re about 5 minutes away, cut the crap. The food is amazing though which is why we deal with the fee and the miserable people who take our order. A guy answered one time and was super rude, another time it was a woman and same thing.
I remember one of my co-​workers asked for extra pita and they made a big deal about putting it in separate foil (separate from someone’s order of hummus and pita) Like hello it’s 2 separate orders. If their customer service was better, it would probably be 5 stars, although that delivery fee is ridiculous.

Used to absolutely love this place and I still think they have great food. However their customer service speaks volumes with the response we got recently. Ordered delivery, the falafel Platter with lemon potatoes which comes as an option with that platter.
They accidentally sent sweet potato fries. Called up to let them know and they said no problem when delivery guy returns we will send him back with potatoes. 10 minutes later we get a call with the cashier arguing that we asked for these fries. I assure you we did not. Instead of just giving us a credit or making it right she argued with my husband saying he was wrong and that if we wanted the potatoes they’d have to charge us extra. How is it extra when it comes as a side option with the platter we ordered???. When we called back tonight to try and make amends, she sarcastically asks my husband well what do you want me to do for you now? How about sorry for our screw up, next time you come in we will sort this out. I have friends who own restaurants and they would never treat regular customers like this.
We were not looking for free food, or to pull one over on anybody. Just some sort of apology and way of resolving the situation. We won’t be ordering from them anytime soon. Huge disappointment

This is by far my favorite Greek restaurant. Ever! Prices are good, food is DELICIOUS, and the service is quick. This isn’t fine dining and I wouldn’t come here for a first date, but I have never been disappointed coming here for a quick lunch or dinner, to stay OR go! I tend to get the same thing every time I come (chicken gyro, spanakopita, Greek salad, maybe fries if I have someone to share with) but the menu is really pretty extensive and has a range of options for adventurous and picky eaters alike! I brought my sister here for the first time last night and she made me promise to bring her back every time I come home to Long Island which I certainly have no problem doing.

I ordered a large healthy salad with chicken to go. $ 17.30. Holy moly.
It was good but nothing special-​a lot of greens. They did put a lot of chicken.
Still though, more than $ 12 for a takeout salad is pushing it. Not worth dining in the restaurant either.

Not much to say about this spot. it’s three stars, not bad but not great.
