Do not order food from here if you want it in less then 2 hours. I ordered from Grub Hub and at first it said delivery would be about 40 minutes. All of a sudden it turned into two hours. Not only did they not care to call me but when I called they said I was looking at another hour. He said there only driver got a flat tire lol yeah and the dog ate my homework. Never again don’t waste your time

They are super late with their deliveries, and their salads are absolutely horrible. They also forget things on your order. Only thing that was okay was the veal cutlet hero. Never ordering again.

I went to Joey’s pizza last night for the first time. I used to use Spiro’s and since they closed It has been a challenge to find an excellent pie… Decided to try Joey’s. The people working there were cordial and a breath of fresh air after a rough day at work. I spoke to the pizza baker and asked for a pie the way I like it, thin crust, extra sauce well done. I got it to go and when I got home it was perfect. An absolutely delicious pie done to my specifications. Fast forward to this morning. Couldn’t find my I-phone…Searched everywhere. Worked all day and on the way home stopped at Joey’s figuring that I may have lost it while picking up the pie… I spoke to Sophia who greeted me when I entered tonight. She was absolutely wonderful. She told me about the“where the h*** is my I-phone app and helped me try to find my phone using hers. She could;t have been nicer or more helpful. I’m posting this because so many people today are so self centered and uncaring about others. Nice people, great pizza. What else does one need from a neighborhood Pizzaria… My next review will be their calzones…

First time coming here. Everyone was so friendly, they offered some samples for me to try, garlic knots were delicious! I ordered a large pie & it came out perfect. I’m Italian from Queens, so I know good pizza! The crust was just crispy enough & the cheese was soooo cheesy. The pizza wasn’t greasy either which made it even better! I’ll take pics next time!

Disgusted! Went in tonight and placed an order. Then watched the 3 teenaged girls ‘working’ there spend more time socializing than taking care of customers. When one of their friends came in several minutes after I did with a parent, their order was pushed through ahead of mine leaving my order not even started. Took me a few minutes to realize what had happened. When I asked about it I was given some weak excuse that they had called in their order… only problem was that I was standing right there when they ordered and asked how long it would be to order something specific. Finally received my order after they finished snickering in the back, and I asked for a bag for the soda cans. I was handed a bag. She couldn’t even manage to put the cans in the bag. These girls would never last working for me. Where was their boss? Just lost my business.

DONOTEATHERE/ORDER FOODFROMHEREEVER. We ordered through GribHub and when my food was an hour late I called the restaurant to find out what was going on. I was informed it was JUST being sent out right then. So not only was it 2 hours to get food, it was cold and disgusting. GrubHub tried to get me a refund and Joeys informed them that all orders were at least 45 mins late and they wouldn’t be refunding anyone. Horrible service and horrible food. Only gave one star because I had to.

Went back to Joey’s. I was given a free reg. pie, i called spoke to a girl was very polite. I did ask for extra cheese and offered to pay for it but the girl included it. I was very please with the pie this time. The sauce was a sweet sauce, spiced just right. The cheese was prefect and the crust cook just right. I would definitely go back and recommend it to ppl I took a menu and want to try the food next time. Thank you Stella for your kindness to my last visit I appreciate it.

Delivery took almost 2 hours. The delivery driver was rude and unapologetic. The pizza may have been good, but it was cold by the time I got it. The up side is that GrubHub has excellent customer service(more than I can say for Joey’s)

I grew up on Joey’s pizza. They have been in business for over 40 years and you can definitely understand why. They are always consistently delicious! The service is fast and friendly. They always have great deals! Right now, on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, you can get one large cheese pizza for $ 7.99 if you go in for pick-up. That’s insane– you just can’t go wrong!!! They honor plenty of coupons and you can even text for more coupons. It is definitely a hidden gem of Merrrick.

I have a theory that any pizza place with the word«Mulberry St.» In the name MUST be good. And Joey’s has proven me correct yet again! Awesome, simple, pizza!!! Go here!

I went with my wife to Joeys pizza for lunch. The restaurant is primarily takeout with a few tables for people who want to eat in. We ordered a slice of pizza, an eggplant parm dinner a ziti with meatballs and a rice ball with cheese. The pizza was about average as was the eggplant parm. The ziti with meatballs was quite good but the rice ball was below average. Service was excellent and very responsive and the atmosphere was very friendly and upbeat. The price to value ratio here is about average for this type of restaurant. All in all this was a OK to good experience and I will be returning in the future.

Bought a panini and soup, taste was ok. But, I can see the oil in my soup. Are you serious?

Good pizza, decent knots. Fast! The owner is very nice, and pitied me when I had to «become Irish» and leave my Italian last name behind, so they get points for that :)

It’s nice to finally find a place where you can get a slice of pizza and not have to deal with the whole sit down dinner type feeling. Go in order a slice a drink and get going. The pizza here was pretty good. Crust was crisp, the sauce was not too sweet. The young lady behind the counter this evening was pleasant and quick. I when she wasn’t taking orders, she was moving around cleaning tables, counters, etc. Parking for this place is on the street and the eating area is a bit cramped but I like this place.

Oh, Joey’s. This used to be the place my fam would order pizza from when we didn’t want to shell out the extra few bucks for La Piazza. When we wanted a greasier, floppier slice with canned mushroom topping, we’d call Joey’s and we wouldn’t think twice about it. Because there are times where it’s just preferred to have a cheaper, messier pie of pizza for the change you just washed in the laundry. Seems recently that Joey’s has been undergoing a bit of a change. A classier sign? Bigger ads in the local papers? Were my eyes failing me or are they calling themselves Joseph’s? Say it ain’t so!

This pizzeria holds pretty dear to me. I used to work here in the summertime on my breaks from school. It wasn’t just a place where I could earn some spending cash for the summers, but where I grew up a little bit. It used to be owned by Lou Fratelli but I have heard that he sold it some time ago. He used to make the best pie East of Brooklyn. His Sicilian was the best! He would always save a corner slice for me, after a fresh pie came right out the oven. As you know, the corner is the best piece of any Sicilian pie, the most doughiest slice with all that yummy burnt cheese on the edges. The mozzarella he used was always fresh, and his marinara was incredible. He would always make me leave the kitchen when he was making his sauce just so I couldn’t see all of the ingredients. I can still taste and smell his garlic knots that he would bake daily. Those little things were lethal if you ate enough of them. I don’t think there is a better combo then garlic knots and a hot«slab» as Lou would call it. Besides from his prowess in the kitchen he taught me a thing or two about a thing or two. Not just in the kitchen mind you, but in life. I’ll never forget his little talks w/me about women, how to be a man and doing the right thing. I have been back recently under the new ownership and the pizza is still damn good, but it sure isn’t the same without Lou greeting you as you walk in… «Paisano! What’s up my man?! Catch any waves dude?»
