Yummy fries unhealthy food and the people that work here are nice. The sazini is my go to and it’s just perfect for when you want something«Souter fried». They also have amazing French fries with a bunch of dipping sauces all of which are very good.

Longest wait ever but the staff are nice and the food is absolutely delicious!!:) I am a regular at souper fry since I rehearsals at the theatre that is adjacent to the place and whenever I get a dinner break, I go here! Highly recommend but if you’re in a rush, don’t come because it takes a long time.

The fries are delicious! Exactly how I like them. Its definitely an interesting, unique place with a number of different items available. I tried the Sazini wrapini and it was really good — the chicken cutlet was a bit dry but I think it was because I got the sauce on the side. Once I added the sauce it was good, and I very rarely like sauce or dressing. The only downside was that there was a pretty decent wait even after calling ahead and I was the only one there so it didn’t seem to make sense. Other times I’ve tried the grilled cheese or mozzarella sticks, they were ok.

They primarily serve as lunch hot spot for the local schools. If you dare to venture in and try to place an order during lunch hours expect subpar service and quality. They offer a limited variety of soup options, and the sodium content is through the roof. The fries a once must have are now lackluster, soggy mush. The«wrapini» I chose, The Kama was thrown together with yesterday’s deli meat, a small apple slice and too much cheese, bland, bland, bland. As some places experience, with time the service and quality has diminished greatly. Won’t repeat.

I really wanted to love this place. Service was quick and friendly. I got a regular old grilled cheese, granted I got it to go but a grilled cheese is usually salvageable with a toaster oven. My grilled cheese was very soggy, yet the bread was still fairly burned on the outside. Not worth saving. I still had my lobster bisque, though. Nah. I might be a lobster bisque snob, but whatever. To me the soup tasted nothing of lobster but more of a seafood chowder type taste. Like fishy. One day I will go back and try a non seafood soup and hopefully update my review.

Perfect please for a tasty interesting lunch. Very clean. Can’t wait to go again and try their quesadillas. Place has good flow of customers. Owners are very friendly and considered. I came thru the door with my daughter crying. They just smiled and asked my order. When i told the it was my fist time they guided me through the menu and gave me time to make my order. They also brought me everything to my table so didn’t have to wait standing holding my 1 year old. Tried«Patron» the taco burger. Perfectly cooked. Loved the avocado and the mild spicy sauce.

A great choice for a quick bite and something a little different. As you can guess from the name, the soups and the fries are phenomenal here. On my last visit my wife got the broccoli cheddar soup. While I’m usually not a big fan of this type of soup, I tried some of hers and it was great! Not too heavy but great creamy flavor. I ordered a Minnewaska(Buffalo chicken pressed wrap) with tomato. At first glance it looks like a normal sized wrap, but it’s actually very filling and really tasty. Great little neighborhood place that caters to local youth and school kids. Definitely recommend.

So great! Where to begin? Soups change pretty frequently, never have had a bad one. Recently opened my horizons to their«quesadilla» menu, and was glad i did. Great food, great prices, not sure why so many people are complaining about the prices, they must be cheap.

I was in the area again and stopped by to give this spot another try. This time I ordered the Jack & Boone wrapinis and an order of reg fries. I got honey mustard and N’awlins Remoulade dipping sauces for the fries. This time the fries were pretty good. Not nearly as oily as the 1st time I went here. The sauces weren’t bad. I didn’t really care too much for their Remoulade. This BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich(wrapinis) wasn’t bad either. I had a slightly better experience going there this time than my 1st time. Might considered dropping by again next time Im in the area.

OMG. What a wonderful surprise in my old neighborhood. I think there was a laundromat here when I last visited. But this little trendy dive of a «yumstaurant» is some place that I intend to frequent in the future. Panini’s with excellent combinations of ingredients; I chose the Wifey Speaks Thai as my first. The sandwich was very good but not perfect; the chicken, the pressed flatbread and the slaw, all excellent. But I thought the peanut sauce was lacking as was any other sauce or seasoning that might have livened up this dish. My companion had the Sazini, which is her favorite. Next time I have got to try the french fries, which we all know I love. However, after exercise I couldn’t indulge in too many calories. FYI the soups looked amazing and the décor, including attractive sandwich boards, all handpainted and the floor that features manhole covers with Subway signs on the wall. I could so see this place in my hometown of Forest Hills Queens. Something tells me the owners might be connected there too. Service is great and the prices aren’t cheap, but for what you get I believe it’s worth it.

Absolutely delish. The French fries are absolutely incredible. The soup I had(can’t remember the name) was perfectly made. The service is super grieve sly and down to earth. The only negative? They have Hunt’s ketchup and not Heinz… However they do have a crazy amount of delicious dipping sauces that make up for that(although my husband is super picky and for him the ketchup thing is a bummer) Highly recommend.

Love their soups and wrapinis. I always get the Wifey Speaks Thai with extra peanut sauce. I’ve been delighted with every soup I try. Not a huge fan of their fries, very greasy and sometimes just small bits of fries. I understand their hip décor but it’s a bit loud and bright for my tastes. Also, the crowd can be very young. I suggest calling in your order to avoid the long line. It’s a bit pricey but it’s Merrick. I will keep on picking up what Souper fry is laying down.

Small spot. Had the Annie sandwich(I think thats what you call it). It was my first time here and the guys in the back are great. Very quick, & efficient. The sandwich was good very warm and toasty, ham and turkey with dijon sauce was on point! I really enjoyed it. Was a bit dissapointed they didnt have Sweet potatoe fries but will return when Im in the area. Next time I think i will try something like the pastrimi or roast beef.

Looking for a place to eat lunch and came across this place on Unilocal.Small spot with lots of options for Paninis, burgers, fries and soups. I was tempted to try the pork but I settled for a Chicken Quesadilla. It was pretty good, thought the chicken could use a little more seasoning. Got a side of fries that were super greasy(not only in taste but it comes in a paper bag like Five Guys) and they didn’t taste great either so I passed. Shared an order of onion rings which were pretty good. They have tons of dipping sauces to choose from which is cool. My friend got the Sunny Side burger which looked pretty good but the burger itself was too fat. It was difficult to eat. Other than that I didn’t see all the hype about it. Not bad. Possible return if in the area…

Dine or Ditch? Dine… It’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s Souper Fry I went here for the first time about a week ago and I’m so surprised this place was not a high school staple. It fits the mold, but somehow alluded me all this time. That being said, it will be a great addition to lazy weekend lunches. It’s quick, cheap, and most importantly delicious! First walking in I wasn’t sure what to order, but the guy behind the counter said The Sazini(chicken, bacon, mozzarella cheese, and«Roscoe» dressing) is the most popular item on the menu. I went for that and very quickly found out why. It was outstanding! The wrapini was hot and fresh and melty goodness. I would highly recommend this one. I also got the sweet potato fries with the roasted garlic aioli dipping sauce and it was an amazing combo. the fries were pretty good(not the best, but still quite tasty) and the dipping sauce really brought it all together. After my first visit, I came back to try something else that caught my eye and was recommended by a friend. The Kommack Kerry wrapini. It was good, but not as good as The Sazini in my opinion. I’ll probably be sticking with The Sazini from here on out, it was THAT good. The staff seemed very helpful as well recommending sandwiches and dipping sauces to make sure I had the best first experience possible. I’ll certainly be back sometime soon.

The menu reads like a Rosetta Stone for lunchers — a good thing, as the ingredients that will make you happy reside there. You just have to look for them. And don’t be afraid to customize! We stopped in based on Unilocal’s reviews, and did just that: customized some excellent sandwiches and salads. The pulled pork was rich and generously spiced and the jerk chicken soup contained a peppery heat that most northerners avoid. To me it was fantastic. It’s a bit eccentric, and a bona fide high school hangout, but everyone is happy, and they should be. The owner cares about his service and is not afraid to let his quirks show. He’s involved, and is happy to answer questions. That is, once you’re done chewing.

I’m the type of woman that will drive 8 miles on her lunch break just to try a new place. Sometimes it turns out well and other times it doesn’t. Sure there are more convenient options but I’m always thinking about«the lunch that could have been». Luckily this particular journey was not in vain. I had this place bookmarked on Unilocal for a few months. The reviews seemed positive so I wanted to check it out. It’s a small place in it’s own parking private lot with a few tables to eat. All the wrapini’s, burgers, and quesedilla options are posted on the board in a bright array of colors. The décor has that New York City kind of appeal with murals on the walls and old train station signage despite being located in the suburbs of Merrick. I walked in and was greeted by John who I beleive may be the owner/manager. John seemed like a relatable guy with nicely sleeved up tats. He was chatting with some of the locals when I entered and the teens found his banter amusing. He was cordial and patient with me and my first time order. My order was ready within five minutes. I had The Minnewaska which is a wrapini with chicken cutlet, buffalo sauce, crumbled bleu cheese, & celery on a warm pressed wheat tortilla. I also ordered some of their hand cut fries to make it a combo and added on a Nawlins’ remoulade dipping sauce. The wrapini was stuffed and toasted nicely. The chicken cutlet lightly breaded and chopped into cubes for ease of eating. All of the ingredients were proportionate to the wrap. The wrap was halved and stacked which resulted in a bit of sauce leaking out but the wrap maintained it’s form through out consumption. The bleu cheese did a great job of adding some saltiness to compliment to heat of the buffalo sauce. The sauce itself wasn’t too hot but definitely had that Frank’s red hot flavor to it, but that’s not an issue because I like Frank’s. That being said you should probably have a drink nearby. After a few bites you will definitely be thirsty. The addition of the crunchy celery added a level of texture and coolness. The hand cut fries were great. Since they were hand cut a lot of the pieces were on the short side but there were lots of them. The fries were served in a brown paper bag which is a first for me but the brown bag actually did a good job of absorbing a lot of the grease which ended up being a positive thing. They do use a light dash of salt on the fries but they throw in some additional packets so you can season them according to your personal taste. The Nawlin’s remoulade dipping sauce I ordered seemed home made. It had a nice kick to it and was a pleasant switch up from the usual ketchup. You can request to sample additional sauces for just 25 cents per container. The menu items appear to be named after his family and crew which is cool. The place has a casually urban vibe without trying too hard. The total for my meal was $ 9.50. It was well worth it and satisfying. They do accept credit card as well. I’ve got my eye on the Jack & Boone wrapini next, and I want to try some of the soups. Souper Fry was super delicious, this is a solid local establishment!

Oh Em Gee. The Loaded Baked Potato Soup. Holy Crap. You MUST try it. I got the soup, the Sazini wrapini, and fries(try the Roasted Garlic Aioli, Kicked Up Ketchup, and the Chipotle sauces.) If you’re taking this to go, I recommend eating the fries on your ride home so that they don’t can cold and then you can spend more time with your soup. The Sazini was great(great dressing on it) but I couldn’t even give it the time of day because of how damn delicious the Loaded Baked Potato Soup was. If i could, I’d eat it every day. I want to try the Lobster Bisque but I don’t know if I can give up the potato soup.

First of all, I love a tech-savvy establishment. You can text in your order which is great. I did just that and received a reply indicating my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I drove on over and the place is packed with kids. I had to wait a little bit but it was understandable. I had the Kommack Keri(roast beef, crispy onions, muenster cheese, and garlic/herb aioli warm pressed in a wheat tortilla). It was really good. I also got the large fries which was excessively large but I’m not one to complain about too many fries.
