Five Guys Burgers and Fries

I must say that of all my youngest son’s favorite local places to eat this is the place I can enjoy with him. That being said. The burgers are decent the fries are amazing. The place is always clean and their prices are fair. You can call in your order and it’s always ready when they say it will be!

I put in a web order online… went to pick it up… there was an overweight hispanic male employee calling out the orders as they were ready. After waiting some time I showed him my receipt and ask about my order and he kind of gave me a shoulder shrug like «I don’t know man».
As more time went by, I was surpassed by people that had arrived after me and I asked again. He told me he would check on it in broken English.
After about half an hour the rush died down and I was the only customer left. One of the other employees asked are you waiting on an order. I said yes and showed her my receipt. At that point she was said oh here it is, pushed to the back of the table where they stuff the bags.
The burger was like warm and the employees thought it was ok for me to pay full price for a half hour old burger never mind the wait. I have lived throughout the U.S. and this is not so much a reflection on Five Guys as a brand, but more on the management of the particular store and the caliber of employees in the area.

I’m giving him them the benefit of the doubt with the 4^th star. So often, I wish Unilocal allowed half stars, because this should be 3.5 star review.
Burger was tasty, a definite step beyond any fast food joint. The fries were also head and shoulders above your average diner’s.
That said, $ 15 for a burger, small fries and a small drink is pretty steep. The free peanuts are nice, but not a game changer. Newer chain burger joints are popping up constantly, offering a wider array of burgers, sides and beverages.
As I said before, 5 Guys gets the benefit of an extra ½ star due to being the impetus for the recent explosion in the quality chain-​burger joints.

My day off so after getting my hooves and nails done i headed here for a quick Lunch/​Dinner on my way home. I also stopped at Bagel Boss to spend my paycheck on a roll and piece of cake BUT thats another story. It was clean and guy took my order. I got my soda and ate my meal in peace. Guy next to me went thru 5 buckets of peanuts. Good for you George Washington Carver. As you can see by my picture they listen to your requests lol. It was good my fat ass is nice and full and im already in bed watching Better Call Saul. Good monday indeed.

I must admit looking at all the reviews here I had to give this place a shot. As I entered the establishment I see the place is clean and their are big open boxes of peanuts for people to snack on while they wait for their food. I place my order and wait didn’t try the peanuts wanted to see if the food was as good as people on this site said it was. They call my number and I pick up my food and leave. When I get home I must say the burger was very good. Nothing like eating a fresh burger and not some already prepared crap. The fries were amazing as people on this site said they were. When I wanted a hamburger quick I use to go to Wendy’s but I have a strange feeling that I think I will be taking my business here from now on.

Haven’t been to 5 Guys in a while and was craving a nice juicy burger dripping with grease. This place is clean and the service was fast. They have quite a variety of fixins’ to customize your burger and make it your own. If you’re going to order french fries, keep in mind they overstuff the bag so I suggest splitting a small to reduce grease intake by a tad.

Great burgers, love the peanuts. I like the toppings they offer. and always nice staff that are friendly.

Went there last night with the wife. Had two bacon cheeseburgers, large fries, two small drinks, tab came to $ 27.75. Ordered my burger with grilled onions and mushrooms. They were nowhere to be found when I got my order. Had to get them to put them in little cups and put them on myself. Not really a big deal but if you’re a burger place the least you can do is cook them correctly. Manager offered to remake the whole thing but I don’t like to cost them money for a little thing. And by the way… is it too much trouble to make sure the cheese is melted instead of just throwing on a slice. The people sitting next to us had their orders come out wrong as well so I guess the crew making them just doesn’t pay attention even though the guy at the register placed both of our orders correctly. They wanted theirs done over costing the owner money unnecessarily. This is only the second time I’ve been there, first was quite awhile back and it didn’t impress me then. Went because we were in the area and I needed a quick meal. I don’t think I’ll be back, I’ll drive down to Wendy’s.

your experience here is very dependent upon WHO is taking your order and WHO is calling your number. the ones MAKING the stuff don’t care, so the product is usually the same stuff.
if you are having trouble at the counter when TRYING to order, just walk out. It gets WORSE!

Absolutely the yummiest french fries, their burger is big and very filling. This place is awesome and great price for what you get !

Friendly staff and my food was prepared quickly, The location was very clean.
The burger was tasteless, limitited menu.
First & last time here. Expected better from other reviews

It was alright, I was hungry and made a stop-​simple. The burger did not blow me away, I did not see what the big deal was.
Good:
–The burger was very filling
–They are generous with their toppings
–For a busy story, they get the orders out in a decent amount of time
Bad:
–The burger while filling, wasn’t flavorful to me
–Cajun fries tasted like potatoes dipped in Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
–Ordering a regular tasting burger & salty fries for $ 15 was disappointing to me
–Cleanliness, I know it’s busy but they need to wipe the tables down every so after the customer makes a mess of the place with the peanut shells and such

Five Stars for Five Guys! They have revolutionized the cheeseburger and the dining experience. The online order system is smooth and reliable. There is nothing bad to say about Five Guys

Lets see 16 dollars for a burger fries an drink, no thanks go to 9.5 burger on Merrick ave instead. This place is a rip off for a sloppy burger

Compared to some of the other burger franchises this one is pretty good. I’m not huge on fast food places but I do enjoy this spot once in a while. You get to order a burger and put whatever you want on it. Usually mine comes out pretty good. An order of fries is good enough to feed like 3 – 4 people lol. Usually comes in a brown paper bag and after a few minutes you can see the grease from the fries spilling on to the bag. Hey, if you are going to a spot like this you aren’t really concerned about all that. I do like their burger compared to some other spots. Not the best I’ve had but it works.

Five Guys consistently is one of the best burgers I have had, and this is my «go to» Five Guys franchise when I am in the mood for a burger. I regularly get the same toppings which are delicious and am generally very happy with the cajun fries, and while they are good, I would like them to be a bit more crispy.
Much like a lot of things these days, the price is a bit higher than I would like, but on the flip side, the ingredients are very fresh and you have to pay a premium for such quality. The only thing that might make the burgers slightly better is if they had a guacamole (preferably my wifes recipe), to top the burger with.

After hearing about this franchise and seeing them around, I have one word to describe my experience — DISAPPOINTMENT
OK, the burgers are tasty and you can get it with whatever you want on them, the Cajun fries were somewhat tasty and you get huge portions (of fries) but the burgers are freakin TINY and OVERRRR PRICED!!!
When I was done ordering for 2 adults and 3 children, I didn’t expect to be paying almost $ 60! It might have been ok if the burgers were huge but I’m a man with an appetite. My kids are far from big but they have a decent appetite also. After dropping that kind of loot, I shouldn’t want or need another burger.
My coworker suggested I try the place out and he’s lucky it was a weekend, because if it had been the next day when I next saw him… WHOOOOWEEE, I wouldda been fired!

Very good burgers and fries. Nice clean atmosphere. The problem is the price which in my opinion is high. There are also to the best of my knowledge there are NO coupons or discounts available. Twenty for 2 burgers and a portion of fries is very pricey although the food is good.

This is the first time I’ve actually been an a 5 Guys, though not the first time I have eaten from one. Silly me, I didn’t know about the free peanuts till I read the previous reviews. Next time I will know better.
This was the first time for my wife and child who both thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I thought the food was consist ant with my earlier experiences.
The only negative I have is the fact that there is no children’s menu. My three year old actually did a pretty good job on her grilled cheese sandwich. The size of the french fries was surprisingly large for the price. We each had our own sandwich and all left with happy tummies.

The burgers are great. The fries are pretty good. The prices… the prices kind of suck. Tonight was our second trip there and we ordered 3 «little cheeseburgers,» 2 regular fries, 3 regular drinks, and it came to $ 27 with tax. That seems like a lot. For that much money you can get a whole lot more food at All-​American Burger. Bottom line — great burgers, not great value.
