I stopped in for lunch one day, had an excellent pastrami sandwich. The service was quick and friendly. I’m looking forward to going back soon.

Always great service, and amazing breakfast sandwiches and donuts. We try to pop in once every weekend for a quick bite.

Get this… you can call ahead to order food and then pick it up at their drive thru. Awesome right? They have tons of sandwich options and coffee flavors. Everything is fresh and made to order. The inside is quaint and you can always find a few locals hanging out. The staff is really friendly and they go above and beyond what most places consider good customer service. Example: we ordered some wraps to take to the beach one morning and they placed them into zip lock bags so they wouldn’t get ruined in the cooler. Great place.

Great no-frills spot for breakfast or lunch. The breakfast sandwiches really are the best around, made to order with 2 eggs and big enough to carry me right through lunch. Staff are friendly and quick and they seem to be sticklers for keeping the place spotless. The lunch menu seems limited until you check out the specials board, there is always something like pulled pork or crabcakes etc to round out the selection.

Best breakfast sandwiches around(MUCH better than the stuff at Dunkin), fast, friendly and reasonable pricing. Also has the Herald to read every morning. What else could you want?

Good food and amazing, friendly service. This is the kind of coffee place I expect in a small town. I have used the drive through and sat in the restaurant to eat — and I always get excellent service. The breakfast sandwiches and donuts are quite good. I have found some of the coffees to be a bit on the weak side(I drink it black) but I just get dark roast now. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area!

Great iced coffee — many flavors to choose from, and always featuring new flavors! Doughnuts will make you never to return to Dunkin’s again! Conveniently located on 110 on my way to work(although I’m sure they’d do a lot better if closer to 495). Even have drive-through! I haven’t had any of the sandwiches here, but I’m sure I will eventually!

Ordered a black coffee with an egg and cheese sandwich. The prices were very reasonable. They screwed up my order and gave me cream and sugar out of habit probably. I didn’t mention it but if I had I’m sure they would have gave me another coffee. No big deal! It’s a pretty laid back place. Workers were friendly. Free wifi is available. It is very small and not that busy so its not a place i would feel comfortable sitting around for hours like I would at Starbucks.

When I was able to walk(3 years ago) I used to spend a lot of time here. Diane and her crew serve a mean coffee, good muffins(better than before), and Breakfast Sandwiches. I refer to these as B.S., and when I finished I’d say I was«Full of B.S.» and for some reason the staff agreed with me. In my experience, when you go into a shop that closes at 3:00, you can’t expect oven-fresh donuts at 2:30, especially since they’re not made on the premises. From my recent experience, the baked goods have improved considerably. You have a choice in Merrimac. You can either go here(in the store or through the drive-through) and get friendly service, or you go to the local branch of a chain donut store and get the same old same old — if the disinterested teenage staff get your order right! My wife found that the chain store used to not only foul up her order, but even if that gave her what she asked for, the price would vary every time. So if that treatment doesn’t sound like fun to you, go to Common Grounds. Although it’s well placed opposite the Senior Center, the place is busier than you might expect and has been since day one. I get B.S.s every weekend, and I really look forward to them. No relations with the business or the owners other than being a very satisfied customer.

To recharge, I stopped at this coffee shop around 2:30PM on a warm afternoon. It’s located across the road from Skip’s. They have a funky drive thru configuration, but I decided to go inside. The interior is very plain with standard table seating and a good variety of donuts, muffins, bagels, and pastries behind the counter. New England Coffee is brewed here and sandwiches are also offered. Daily specials are posted on the board. The donuts looked a bit stale from being out all day, so I decided on just a medium iced cappuccino($ 2.40), which was a cool refreshing and very sweet milky drink served in a 20 oz Styrofoam cup. I was good to go! Free Wi-Fi is offered to customers. HOURS: Mon-Fri: 4AM-3PM; Sat: 5AM-3PM; Sun: 6AM-12PM
