Holiday Inn Express & Suites Merrimack

When I was checking-​in I was told «the water heater is broken and it is going to be fixed tomorrow», and I got a free room in another hotel of the same management that night. Morning of the first stay back at this Hotel –no hot water, I had to take Very Cold shower. The front desk guy informed me tersely, somehow seeming to be irritated with me, «the water heater broke again», and assured me that «this never happened here before». Then I read a review by a guest who stayed here in 2014 mentioning that there was problem with getting hot water in the morning. BUT, later that morning I found that my body was feeling warm and feeling refreshed. I think it was because of the cold shower I had to take that morning. I am thinking now that may be cold shower is good for my health and that I ought to get cold shower sometimes. Thank you Holiday Inn Express.

I’ve done a lot of traveling for work and had this Holiday Inn Express booked for me by my corporate offices. It was 100% the worst stay I have ever had in my life. I was here almost a week.
I need to keep reminding myself this is an area that is not a large city. It is also a Holiday Inn and not one I am accustomed to staying at.
The appearance is great but apparently they skipped the option to sound proof ANYTHING in the rooms when they either remodeled or built the building.
I had to work my entire stay and I was up every night because of crazy squeaky floor boards above me, Guests talking, watching tv and going in and out of doors. Things we all do yes… but really the walls are paper thin and those floor boards above me were like torture. I look forward to sleeping on the plane ride home.
Definitely stay here if you need a 1 night stay but if your booking for work and you need to sleep. Not recommended from me.

Not a lot of choices in the Merrimack area, with several being rundown. This Holiday Inn is clean and appears to have been recently updated. Easy access on/​off highway. Also, just a couple miles from the outlet mall. Only negative is the hot water ran out on one day. Not a total cold shower, room temp water just not very pleasant.
