I have been with Cascade Financial for over a year. I use bill pay for this account. I have had no problems with bill pay except for this company. I have my bank, send the payment on time, but it takes an 5 – 7 days after it is supposed to arrive for it to get posted. Although it is not technically late, they wait until whoever gets around to processing the payment then charge you a $ 100+ late fee, and then report you to the credit bureau as 30 days late. Their stock answer is to blame the post office. I sent my payment in 5 days before the end of the month, and I have a confirmation number from my bank that it was received two days before the end of the month. They did not ‘process’ the payment until 9 days later. When speaking to them on the phone, they admitted that yes, they were having problems with getting payments posted. I think they are using this technique to influence to force their clients to set up electronic payment with their company. My bank is working with them to refund me the late fee, but I’m stuck now with a negative credit report, and Tim, the manager is not interested in reversing any reports, stating that it’s not his fault if it gets lost in the mail or if they don’t process the payment on the day it was received. This is not good business practice. I hope the owner of the company reads this and responds.

Cascade Financial Services uses race to decide on whether or not a person gets a mortgage from them. I thought this practice was almost non-existent, but it it is alive and well with this company. I have since contacted my attorney on this matter and plan to pursue a suit against this company.
