First Impression, Dr. Thaler’s office looked unkempt and out-dated. I received no reminder of my appointment even though they booked out two weeks in advance. I Walked into the office and it appeared the office staff did not care about their job or the patients(ex. no smile or pleasant greeting). This was my first time getting my moles checked, I am told that living in Arizona that it is a good thing to do since skin cancer is so abundant here. I waited over 45 minutes to be seen, and was almost late for work. After being irritated about the wait time, when the dermatologist arrived the first question he asked was, «Do you know how to check your moles yourself?» «Here is a pamphlet to show you how. So you don’t need to come in for these checkups.» I took this as my presence was a joke and everyone should know how to check their moles. Unfortunately, I do not, and since I have never been seen before I wanted to get a professional opinion. After my time waiting and not being taken seriously, I was extremely upset. After leaving the office I sent an email to Papillon Dermatology to state my concern. Wondering if there is someone to speak with about my experience so this doesn’t happen to other new patients. After weeks of waiting I still have yet to get a response on the matter.
