AMC Mesquite 30 with Dine-in Theatres

This theater is atrocious! Never been to one that appears not to have any management on hand. Trash over flowing, drink machines not working, water and trash on the floor everywhere. I don’t understand it, they appear to have more than enough staff and the water on the floor in between the soda machines had been there for a while. We were about 40 minutes early for our movie and in that time period no one came to clean up the floor. That is an accident waiting to happen. All you need is anyone or even worse a child or elderly person to slip, and you will have a major lawsuit in your hands if it hasn’t happened yet. Wow, just unbelievable! Nastiest movie theater I’ve ever been in.

This theatre is a bobsled. As in, it’s going downhill quickly.
It’s almost two different places — the waiter-​service side where we usually go and the traditional theatre side that nobody seemed to care about. Unfortunately, the movie we wanted to see this evening was on the traditional side. So, long lines for expensive snacks, and no sound at the start of the movie (WTF? Sound is half the movie.)
The service is just atrocious. Sure, part of the problem is customers discussing what they want at the register (and there’s not that much to discuss), but my server had to go to the back (from the length of time she was gone, perhaps Ft Worth) to get hot dog boxes. Don’t you stock?
The drink machines were out of ice. Again, don’t you stock?
They don’t look short-​handed, I just don’t think the staff cares that much. Still, the faster you get people’s orders out, the faster you can take a break, so stop watching the line just build.
Here’s a hint: it’s going to get busy before each set of movies start, and many of those people will want food. Be ready.
The men’s room was closed. Closed? I understand briefly closed for service, but this was just closed, unless it takes over two hours to service the men’s room, and from the looks of one that was open, they don’t spend that much time on it. My wife said the ladies room smelled like dirty diapers, and badly needed servicing.
The trash cans were overflowing at the doors of the theatre. Now, I know a lot of people just leave their trash, so how long had the trash cans not been emptied?
I love Fork & Screen and I really love the Suites, but the old-​school theatre side is a dump. It’s like Monopoly — the high-​rent side and the low-​rent side. All they need now are railroads.
Maybe they’re trying to drive off the low-​rent traffic. They’re going to drive everyone off at this rate.
This was our go-​to theatre but we’ll only go now if our movie is on the high-​rent side. It’s a shame that they can’t take the same care in all of the theaters.

Wish I could give a zero star review. They are too big and don’t have their act together. 2 of the 4 kiosks were down outside, we waited forever in line to get our pre-​purchased tickets. I went inside to let them know they were broken (1 was just out of paper) and they didn’t seem to care.
Also, in the regular ticket lines, the lines were huge and only 2 of the many stations were open.
Simply put– they seem to not care.

This place is absolutely disgusting. Last visit the table I had at my seat was still dirty with food from the previous person, the seat was dirty and sticky, and the bathrooms were absolutely gross.

We’ve been twice to this theater, both for the dine-​in option and both times for kids movies. Last weekend was for Angry Birds (uugh, ²⁄₄ of us loved it, of course) and for lunch. My handsome fella and I got a pitcher of beer (medicinal, you know). The smaller ones ordered kid junk food of fried chicken strips and gut clogging mac and cheese, because that’s all places offer to children and that’s all they’ll be conditioned to eat. You know.
Our waiter fella was super nice and quick. Our food came to us much faster than I thought it was going to and refills came quick too. It’s not a cheap lunch– food itself was $ 70 for the four of us (did include alchohol)… but the movie we saw was in regular-​D and the tickets themselves were cheap (adults were $ 8, Kids were $ 6.50), so that was a wash to me. If we went to, say, Shenannigans, those fellas would have blown through $ 100 in game cards in 30 minutes. This $ 100 at least fed us all and entertained us for two hours.
The theater! Let’s talk about the theater (duh, let’s get back on topic). I DO really like it. The seats are nice and comfy. Nothing is sticky and it all feels newer. I love coming to this theater, it’s a great fun outing for kids and I would love to come back for a date night and snuggle with my fella.

Busted projector still selling tickets. My daughter home from college, so we splurge for IMAX. Turns out IMAX is a tiny theater, but ok. Then when 3D starts there is a horrible phase artifact flashing across the bottom third of the screen…
It is barely watchable.
When I complain, it was clear they knew it was out of calibration. But we’re selling tickets anyway. Horrible.

Zero stars. The health department needs to shut this place down. It’s filthy everywhere. Not to mention the parents who let their children run around disrupting the entire movie. Going home to take a shower.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, dirty place and disgusted in a way our situation was handled. Yes you were absolutely right in following policy Mr manager, but your approach was rude. This place needs some help.

CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN! !!! If I could I would give 0 stars, this company doesn’t care about customers, sanitation, or hygiene! What kind of business that serves food doesn’t invest in a good scratch that top notch pest control company to remove the mice and keep them out!!! It would be more beneficial to close for a Couple days and take care of this issue than to lose the 100 – 200 customers a day that will not be returning or even trying this place due to the rodents! If they are visible in the theaters imagine how bad they are in the kitchen! GROSS! Management needs an eye opening! Can’t believe a company this big is more worried about its revenue than quality and it’s customers

Ok so I went last Monday to see the new divergent movie and about half way through my friend swore he saw two mice. I told him he was crazy it was probably a reflection we kept watching the movie well five minutes later! I see the mice running around like nothing!!!
Omg I go out and tell the manager!!! He is not even freaked out or surprised whatsoever ! He just asked where at and an employee went in and didn’t do anything! They didn’t even offer to give us tickets so we can see the movie another time or anything! I posted it on Fb and people commented about it not being the first time it’s happened!!! I think this place should be closed down until it’s taken care of! Too gross !!!

I Enjoyed a movie with my family on Easter Sunday here. As I’m watching the movie out of the corner of my eyes I see a freaking mouse crawl under one of the seats. This bothers me Bc you guys sell food and makes me think the condition in the kitchen is probably in horrible condition. I couldn’t even enjoy the movie without thinking a mouse would be running across my foot.

We wanted to see a movie last minute, and usually we go to a different AMC or studio movie grill if we want food. However, since it was last minute, this was the only theater showing Star Wars at the time we wanted. The theater itself was a good size, food and drinks pretty decent, but service was terrible. We waited 30min for our drink from the bar to get to us, we never had an actual server-​just random people helping us, and at the end of the movie they sent ONE kid who worked there in with about 20 checkbooks for the whole theater… it was ridiculous. He was running all over the theater at the end of the movie trying to find everyone. They were not organized at all.

This theater has really gone downhill. The new eat in theaters are nice, but the prices are outrageous.

I love the new and improved AMC 30. Full bar and the addition of the Fork and Screen. Although most of the food is mediocre the bar is excellent. New seat are super comfy. Really enjoy the ipdate

Worse attitude for employees. Suite was left filthy after one movie then was never cleaned until the next movie had started. Everyone has the problem it’s not their job. Love the new Theater Recliners :)

Went to see The Martian in #16 seats L9 & L10… and 2 mice came out of the seats to eat my husbands left over hotdog. Now I realize when teens run a theater, it’s going to be a hot mess. but rodents. living in the seats?! What the freak? ! We told the manager and she gave us a refund, said she said she would call the exterminators.. but I heard this isn’t the first time a rodent complaint has happened. guess we won’t be going back to this Amc anytime soon.

This is me and my fiancée go to spot… we always go here to watch any movie that we want to see.
This AMC is really easy to find right off the freeway and its big.
This location is really clean and spacious. They actually just renovated this location. So now they have leather seats and now the dine in feature. I have had their food and acholic drinks both are really good. Now don’t expect any fancy stuff.
The prices are a little steep but that as to be expected. Customer service is average as expected. Overall this place is always my go to spot when I want to chill and relax and watch a movie

When the movie theater first started serving food it was really good. It was nice to go to the movies and have a meal at the same time.
The menu was changed sometime ago, now it’s over priced prepackaged food that is not good. We won’t be dining at the movies anymore. Too bad, it started out as a really good thing.

Love the new recliner theaters. Haven’t tried the food, but the theater is so comfortable I cannot wait to go back.

I have always been a fan of this particular theater, even when I was younger. Although the prices are higher than I would like to pay I still preffered this theater over many others. The other day I went with my girlfriend and now my opinion has changed completely. The posting of Penal Code sign 30.06 has made me feel completely vulnerable and unsafe as I have a CHL and am a responsible person capable of concealed carry. I also an active duty service member with a combat oriented job.
So I went ahead and did the legally responsible thing and locked my pistol in my car and proceeded to see the movie I had just paid for. There is a very high possibility that I will not be returning to AMC 30 in the future.
A sign is not going to stop a person with the intention of causing harm and the security at the door is a joke. They don’t even pay attention to people walking in and there is a very slim possibility they could stop an attack if it came from anywhere else than the front door.

This place has gotten a bit ghetto for my tastes and has a weird vibe. They have a «hallway» of fountains for drinks using the new touch screen technology – not a fan. When I went they were all out of Coke! And this drink area was dirty and sticky.
I do like the big cushy chairs in the cinema suites. Haven’t tried their food for the «fork & screen» studios but I don’t have high hopes.

Be prepared for bad teenagers here and don’t sit there and think it will get better! For the price they charge here I wished I would have got up and got the manager.
After I asked the teens to stop they got worse and I really didn’t want to make a scene and distrupt everyone else and so I made a big mistake!
On the positive side I did go to the manager after the movie and low and behold the bad teens decided to go back in there and cause more trouble and were caught. And the manager that did handle everything and gave us free movie passes and was very apologetic and it was good but I’m still not sure I want to go back here.
We spent about 75.00 and had a bad time… not what I like to do on a Sunday.

Based on what my brother had told me earlier, I was really worried this theater was going to be horrible, but we were going anyway since it ends up being the theater between us and my sister in law’s place.
I am happy to say that since the last time my brother went, the place has clearly gone through renovations.
Really nice seats and an overall modern look make this theater okay in my book. Now, note that we came here on a Sunday afternoon, so I can’t say whether or not he theater is nice during peak times like Friday and Saturday night, but I had no major complaints.
Only issue I had was that they seem to be short on the automated ticket counters. There were only 4 and one was not working. There was a line we waited in for around 10 minutes to get through.

Will NOT be coming back to this AMC ever!!!
Thank God I had already seen the Avengers before coming here to watch it again.
The noise in the the theatre was nothing short of a nuisance. Behind us on the right it sounded like some one was on a breathing machine and they had it plugged up to a amp. There were dozens and dozens of kids in the theatre after 9 pm, who were kicking the back of seats. Running up and down the stairs. People were having open loud discussions about what Tony Stark was and wasn’t going to allow. Avengers was a pretty action packed movie, which means there is plenty of sound coming from the movie but the audience was matching the sound of the movie almost 80% of the time.
In a nutshell this was a horrible experience that I’m not willing to relive, especially at $ 12.44 per person.

Poor customer service. Theater was not clean when we arrived. The person staffed here has no care at all about the business. If the person working here was tending to my business in this fashion I would fire them.

Recent improvements inside this theater have once again made it the premier east DFW location to watch a movie, and I say this over UA Garland, Cinemark Rockwall and the theater in Forney. Only the AMC at Firewheel is better in this part of the metroplex, but it may not be as convenient for you to access.
For starters, there are now 4 types of screens inside which I will breakdown below.
–Standard Theater
–IMAX Theater
–Fork & Screen Theater
–Cinema Suites Theater
The standard, fork & screen and cinema suites ALL have new, beautiful leather chairs. These are wide, comfortable, and best of all can be chosen when buying your ticket in person or online.
In Fork & Screen and Cinema Suites, push button services summons a waiter or waitress to serve you food, bring refills or drinks from the bar. Cinema Suite is for adults only, so choose this option if you want a kid-​free experience.
IMAX is still the biggest and the best screen, but sadly it has now outdated seating style. I hope the correct this in the future.
The concession stand is improved and how has Coke Freestyle Machines which you can access yourself, as well as premium drinks and hot snacks like pizza and chicken fingers. The lobby is fresher and cleaner than before. The arcade has been totally eliminated. A relic of a simpler time.
The staff here is young, and generally well trained. No problems with them.
The only thing keeping this theater from 5 stars is the location, which is not the fault of AMC. Mesquite Texas simply is not a premier destination for nightlife, and depending on the day and time can be slightly unsafe. This is a theater where you should be certain to lock your doors, as sad as that is for me to say.
Still, all in all I really enjoy seeing movies at this theater, and will visit often, So should you!

Arrived at my seat 15 minutes before the movie started; usher didn’t say anything about the theater being ready or not. My seat was filthy. Popcorn everywhere (floor, seat, on the arm rest, etc). Someone had to go get the staff to come clean and they did a poor job. I still had to shovel popcorn out from under the serving tray area and a half used container of sauce was sitting in the ketchup bin.
Service was adequate but employees didn’t seem happy about being there and didn’t take note of who ordered what so during the movie we were having to sort out whose entrée goes where.
I should also note the restrooms were dirty and there was popcorn littered everywhere.
Second visit to an AMC in as many months and I’ll be sticking to competitors.

With this theater, it’s really a hit or miss. My husband and I have come here for years. Just recently they’ve added «fork & screen». This is where you pick your seats and have a server bring out what you pick. I had horrible service. By the time we had gotten our food, half of the movie was already over. Now as for the food itself, it was actually good. I ordered a sprite, wings sampler, and blackened chicken Alfredo. The wings, chips, and mozzarella sticks were great textures and flavors. The Alfredo dish also had a great flavor and tasted fresh. I’m not sure i will be doing another fork and screen movie. $ 35 for those three things is not worth it to me.
The crowds are pretty mixed. There are plenty of rowdy teenagers though, so I’m glad for the curfew.
Overall, a great theatre with awesome seats and plenty of screens.

This theatre is located in mesquite, and that’s not a bad thing.
At each holiday (thanksgiving/​Christmas) we find ourselves driving the few extra minutes just to avoid the malls and crowds.
This location seems to have gone through a few changes as of late. One being the dine in options.
I can’t say we partook of this option, but it appears to be somewhat confusing to most.
I do not remember picking our seats in the past visits. However, I like this option.
As a planner of everything, this allows the early bird to get the worm.
I enjoy the fact you can grab a cocktail pre-​show and take it into the theatre. My only question is… I was asked which theatre I was going in before I was allowed to purchase.
I’m really not sure when these changes were made, but I need to educate myself further on my options.
The theatre is always very clean and the staff appear to enjoy their jobs. Parking is ample but a huge lot and busy location may have you parking some distance away.
Can’t wait to return and figure out all the perks to this newer concept. BTW… The chairs rock and this place appears to be joking the ranks of dine in theaters everywhere.

I really don’t like going to the movies. It’s expensive as hell and it never fails that I sit behind a gaggle of teenagers that text and talk their way through the movie.
Enter Mesquite 30’s new Cinema Suites theaters. *cue angels singing from above*
AMC has been revamping their older theaters in some pretty fun ways. Cinema Suites is their answer to Studio Movie Grill, which sucks donkey balls. It’s all a bit pricey but you’re paying for convenience and comfort.
Here’s the deal:
**$ 14.50/ticket gets you a leather recliner with a raisable arm rest that turns two recliners into a snuggleable couch, a server willing to bring you any food or drink item they sell — including booze, popcorn and candy — and a 21+ audience.
**Food is a little ridiculously priced. I’m almost positive I can find a better $ 13 burger, which is why we chose not to eat here. But if you wanted to roll the eating in with the movie viewing, you’d have a date in a basket for sure.
**I bought our tickets online, which gave me the option to pick our seats before we ever showed up. We also didn’t have to stand in line at the box office since we were able to use the kiosks outside.
I may have just screwed myself since movies were already a once-​and-​awhile splurge at regular pricing. Oh, wells. Sometimes you just need a date night and Cinema Suites just became a definite contender.
