I do not understand this place. Everyone kept telling me I should go there and I have been twice. The people are grumpy and don’t really seem to want to help people. The first time I went the guy treated me like I was dumb and tried to flirt with me… The second time I tried to go on checked the Internet for the time and when I got there they were closed ten minutes before they were supposed to be… I just needed one thing that would have taken 2 min to get and now will have to take time I do not have out of my schedule to go their later! This is horrible customer service!

Went here as mandated by Troy-​Bilt as my trimmer stopped working. They blamed it on the gas oil mixture. I used the oil that came with the trimmer exactly as instructed. Not only wouldn’t they repair it but got charged a $ 40 estimation fee. Won’t go there again!

Why do I love you, Elliot’s hardware?
1. You have old guys with names like Ernie and Vern who are willing to share the knowledge they have gained over the years with young whippersnappers like me.
2. Even the big boys (Lowes and Home Depot) direct me to your store if I cant find something there.
3. A selection of fastners (nuts and bolts, etc) that puts anyone else to shame.
4. Still has almost a family store feel.
5. A hardware store that has a bank inside-​I love this place!
Seriously if you are in Mesquite and need something for a home project or the like give Elliot’s a try first– I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
