Always a delicious meal at Katherine’s! I have eaten here many times and the food never disappoints! The steaks are aged and cooked perfectly! The shrimp the lobster the oysters… Oh lord I miss you! But I’ll be back soon!

At here while staying at Casa Blanca. Coming from vegas, I was skeptical on how amazing a steakhouse could be… I was proven wrong. Everything about this place was great, from the service to the food. Jose was my waiter… And I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

Really wanted to like this place, as we had heard so much about it. We were extremely disappointed. We dined there for a birthday celebration(party of six). The service was acceptable, but the food just was not good. Dry, limp Caesar salad. Mediocre steak. Instant potatoes. Not even close to being worth the high price.

Had a delightful meal here for my wife’s birthday. They food was above par. The cocktails were delicious as well. The service was fairly decent or at least good enough. Make sure you make reservations.

We were on the road home from California on my birthday last week and were looking for a good place to stop for dinner and my brother recommended we stop here. I am very glad we followed that advice. The food and service here is outstanding. I will admit I was a bit skeptical when my brother first told me about this place, I mean after all it is a restaurant in a casino in Mesquite, NV, but, boy what a amazing place. First of all we were greeted by the friendly hostess and even though we had no reservation were shown to a great booth. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and our waiter was fantastic. It’s a pity I can’t recall his name because I’d tell you to ask for his section. I had the Veal Parmigiana which was perfectly prepared and would easily compare to the dish I had in another review down the road in Vegas. This place is primarily a steakhouse and I will definitely be back to try one of those selections based on what I was seeing brought to other tables. We had a nice Oregon pinot noir from the well appointed but not overpriced wine list. As I always do, if Crème brûlée is on the menu that’s what I’m having for desert on the first visit. And the dessert here did not disappoint although it was a bit liquid towards the center, something i’d blame on the overly deep ramekin it was served in. However the flavor was spot on with a perfectly caramelized crust. All in all i’ll definitely be taking time to stop in here for dinner on my next trip though town.

The entrees weren’t high quality. The steak wasn’t seasoned and the mashed potatoes were instant. The drink and appetizers were good. Great service, but slow to serve the food.

Several of us made our semi monthly visit here for dinner. I always love this place. A bit of growing pains breaking in a new waiter but that’s fine with me. Wonder door, wonderful venue and was very happy. It was Halloween night, last night in October and it was 73 at 9:00pm. Sweet.

Nicest restaurant in Mesquite. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and the Cioppino and both were excellent. We love Oysters Rockefeller and would say these were the best we have ever had! The Cioppino was also excellent and you get a large lobster tail in the Cioppino which was very impressive. The atmosphere is very nice and the light up menus were so cool. Can’t wait to go back !

Wow. We were impressed with both the quality of the food as well as the service here. Stayed at the Casablanca for Labor Day weekend, and our dinner here on Friday night was great. I would take off half a star for the other patrons if we could. Please, know that T-shirts and baseball caps are okay, although we would have enjoyed dinner much more if that wasn’t the case. I had the lobster bisque — HUGE chunks of lobster and great taste. And the table side Caesar was so awesome we asked for the recipe! Both our steaks were cooked perfectly, also. But the best surprise was the amazingly priced wine list with good selection! Being from Vegas, we were VERYPLEASANTLYSURPRISED with the wine selection. Had a wonderful dinner and will definitely come back the next time we are in Mesquite.

Mesquite is a golf destination for some. I’m not a golf person. But Katherine’s is a must-do when in the area. Whenever I’m driving through, I can’t help but mention to whoever is in the car with me that Katherine’s is an amazing steakhouse. And not only is the food exceptional, it is a great value. The portions are gigantic! My favorite appetizers are the stone crab(when in season), shrimp cocktail, or the artichoke hearts. The hot spinach salad might be my favorite salad, ever. Ribeye is my favorite cut of meat, and the Cioppino is right up at the top of my favorite entrees. All the side items are good. And dessert? Bananas fosters. The portions are big enough so that my boyfriend and I share an appetizer, the salad, and entrée & side. There isn’t always room for dessert, but I try. Other things that are a nice touch are the menus with the background light(so you can read it easily in the dim light) and the cheese and olives that are brought out to the table with the bread and butter. Oh, and the service. The service is always outstanding.

Slow service, shrimp cocktail was nice, garlic mashed potatoes were just o.k., prime rib was not properly seasoned but good quality meal and good correctly, water was not good… change filters people! Vegetables… brocollini was not good. Chicken marsala was tasty. Supposed Chilean sea bass was ok. Place wasn’t that busy but got loud, kinda ruined our dinner. took too much time to get service going. For the money… I won’t be back.

We had the crab cakes to start. Crab cakes were good but the sauce was a bit salty. I had the filet Oscar and my boyfriend had the prime rib. The food was good for the price! Service was excellent!

I can almost always find something to critique. Not here. Me and my lady had an incredible meal with fantastic service. The warm and tasty bread and soft butter. Olives and cheese. A table side prepared Caesar salad. My main course had the biggest and tastiest shrimp I’ve ever had. Drinks were equally good and they even had lighted menus and wine list. Oops, wait, I do have one complaint. We were too full and had no room for desert. Thanks waiter Jose for a great evening. We’ll be sure to leave room for desert next time.

This place had great food and incredible service! Jesse went above and beyond in serving us! Thank you Jesse! I ordered the ciopinno and it was so delicious; highly recommended! The escargot was great! And the banana foster is a must! Beautiful presentation and even better taste! This place is a gem in Mesquite! We had a table of kids but they treated everyone like they were adults and catered to everyone’s needs-very refreshing! Will be returning if in the area!

The Cioppino was very good. The broth was rich with excellent flavor and the fish was all cooked well. Hubby had the fillet and it was also very good but I enjoyed the Cioppino much more. The wedge salad had too much dressing for our taste. We asked for it on the side but the salad came swimming in blue cheese. The service was also very good. Wait staff attentive but not annoying! Would definitely order Cioppino again.

Service was excellent. Food tasted good going down. For dessert we had diarrhea and vomiting Both wife and I got extremely I’ll several hours later. Up all night. Called restaurant and manager was polite but made no offer other than an apology because it was«not their policy» I hate that cheap cop out. All that means is too frickin bad, we really don’t give a crap. For $ 170 I expect a meal that doesn’t keep me in bed the whole next day. Clark County health dept is my next call. But because they are on the reservation, the law probably won’t apply. Apparently the law only applys when they need a hand out. Never again: STAYAWAY.

Great food, great service! Staying in Mesquite for the first time and was in the mood for steak. Decided to go to this steakhouse because we are staying here. The ambience is good, other than it is inside a smoke-filled casino. But, the food was awesome. We tried the Artichoke Heart appetizer and it was a big portion and was delicious. For our entrées, we tried the bone in ribeye and the salmon dishes. They were both really good. I requested my steak to be cooked medium and it was cooked the way I like it. The only thing about the steaks, they don’t really come with any sides, so you have to order an extra side or two for your steak. I would recommend this place and will eat here again when I am in the area.

This is a very elegant restaurant. The service and food are the highest quality. No need for glasses as they have a beautifully lighted menu. This is my favorite place and the desserts linger in your memory long after you have gone home. I can’t wait to have the lava cake and ice cream on my next visit. Be sure to make a reservation as it is quite busy.

What a lovely restaurant in the middle of no-where desert! The T-bone was perfectly MR cooked, and served w light and flavorful onion strings The Chicken Marsala had a just the right amnt of mushrooms in a tangy-sweet/creamy wine sauce(chicken was a bit over cooked) and perfectly steamed veggies Grilled shrimp appetizer was also perfectly cooked, but odd w the white beans(wtf?) Volcano brownie was typical… Hershey’s chocolate sauce, canned whipped cream, Blue Bunny ice cream and way overly sweet chocolate brownie(the only disappointment) Excellent coffee, freshly brewed and delish Superb service. Attentive, friendly and extraordinarily pleasant(thanks Pablo!)

When you go out for decent dining in Mesquite NV, you go with, well, reduced expectations. It was New Year’s night — not New Year’s Eve — and we’d just come by car from Salt Lake City. We were staying overnight in Mesquite before dealing with a headache in Las Vegas — don’t ask. And we wanted a decent meal. This was the highest rated Unilocal in Mesquite. So, off we drove, from the glorious Virgin River Hotel — don’t ask, again — to the Casablanca and Katherine’s. In two words: good meal. The restaurant was on the tony side of well-decorated. Much closer to Vegas than to, say, Cedar City UT. Hushed but not sterile, elegant but not fussy, and really nice wood throughout. Our waiter was highly professional, and the Chopin martini was reportedly well made. Ordered up were French onion soup, replete with bubbling cheese and plenty of onions, and a wonderful lobster bisque that was actually full of lobster. It was actually almost too rich — they could have gotten away with a serving two-thirds as large. A seafood pasta was more than one person could eat, with lobster, shrimp, scallops, etc. The shrimp might have been frozen, but every thing was rocking. On the carnivore side of the ledger, the New York steak at 16 oz was about 1 oz too big, even for an ambitious appetite. It came under a layer of thin onion rings, with perhaps the largest baked potato in Nevada under a coating of butter, sour cream, and chives. That’s the right side to order, by the way. Wine good, food good, meal good. This is the place in Mesquite. And the final bill doesn’t kill you either. I think we got away for under 100. Which, if you factor in the low-cost dining of Utah, makes the trip worth it. I’m not saying to skip Vegas and eat at Mesquite. What I am saying is that if you’re in Mesquite, you can eat. Which is good news. After all, it’s Mesquite.
