From the homemade fries and the great burger, to the awesome service, this place is fantastic! I would reccomend anyone stopping through Mesquite to give it a try!

Up at 6 am in Mesquite, the buffet is not ready– so we ended up here. worst orange juice I ever had, strange Id say, being 5 hours from citrus valley. I asked for spinach instead of meat with my benedict,(nice looking– kind server was very sweet), anyway, he said that he needed to ask the kitchen if he can do this. Since, opting out spinach for ham is brain science, I understood. Anyway, not to thrilled with this place. Food was über greasy, gained a few pounds, not worth it.

What’s to say? It’s a café inside the Casablanca. I have to be honest, the food isn’t that bad! The french fries were amazing. I’m a french fry lover, these were really, really good. We ordered food to take to the pool, the turkey sandwich was pretty darn good. I was surprised at the quality of the meat. Could’ve passed for Boar’s Head. There aren’t too many options around here, and price wise, you can’t beat it. $ 3.99 breakfast anyone? They also have a Chinese menu which I find bizarre, but it gets good reviews, so hey, who am I to judge?

Inside the CasaBlanca Resort, the Purple Fez supplies generous portions of good cuisine at very reasonable prices. It is also known for its Chinese food. With that in mind, for lunch I ordered Wonton Soup, with pork & shrimp-filled dumplings, and Chow Mein with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Some very nice complimentary hard noodles arrived first with 3 different sauces, and it was fun to alternate the dipping of these crispy twigs in Sweet & Sour, Plum, and Hot Mustard sauces. Then the Wonton Soup was served, with excellent broth and wontons, but too much broccoli. Wor Wonton Soup is also available, but that is more like a meal in itself, so I avoided it on this occasion. My Combination Chow Mein was gigantic in portion size. Shrimps were very large, and morsels of beef and chicken were also quite sizable. Enough soft Yakisoba Noodles and assorted vegetables, including bean sprouts and white and green onions, stir fried in Soy Sauce were also present, so that my side order of Steamed Rice largely went to waste. The Chow Mein was very good but Diane was initially served the wrong soft drink, Potato Skins were really Potato Logs, and the cheese requested to be included in her Prime Rib Dip was instead melted over her French Fries. And, once a gnat loomed into view near my food. Otherwise, service was good, the setting comfortable, and the dining experience enjoyable. 3 – 1./2 stars overall!

While staying at Casa Blanca, I ate here for lunch and dinner. It was really the only place to eat at since the buffet was closed and the other restaurant was very pricey, but I enjoyed dining here. The prices were pretty cheap ranging from $ 2.99 for a decently sized house salad( ) to $ 12.99 for a Ribeye dinner( ). We were seated quickly and brought water right away. We never experienced any problems with the servers and they were actually pretty friendly. For lunch I just ordered a house salad($ 2.99) and a bowl of Cream of Spinach Soup($ 2.99). The house salad was fresh, I can’t really think of what else to say about it. The Cream of Spinach was ridiculously salty. I couldn’t eat more than half of it for fear that my blood pressure would skyrocket. My mother got the Tuna Melt( ) for $ 5.99 and my father got Spaghetti Pomodoro( ) for $ 7.49. The tuna melt was pretty good. It had an overflow of tuna which I didn’t really care for, but my mom enjoyed. I didn’t try the actually pasta in the Spaghetti plate, but I had a bite of one of the meatballs and it was nice and juicy. For dinner I ordered the $ 11.99 Porterhouse dinner which came with a 16oz ribeye, crn, salad, and mashed potatoes( ). I thought it was a very good deal for the portion and it’s offered from 11am-11pm, which is awesome! The steak was nice and tender and the corn was very sweet. My father ordered the Ribeye dinner for $ 12.99. I tried a few pieces of it and I really wished I would’ve gotten it instead! It was very tender, juicy, and just so perfectly cooked. Luckily my dad couldn’t finish it, so I got to finish it! Overall, I think this is a great place to eat whether you’re just passing by or staying the night. It’s definitely not fancy by any means, but the prices are cheap and the food is still good. It’s also not very crowded, so you’ll most likely get speedy service.

This place is in the Casablanca casino and it has American and Chinese food. So I ordered some hot tea and the chicken fried rice. The hot tea turned out to be a decaf black tea. Average. The chicken fried rice was good, but there were these strange chunks of salt in it. I’m guessing it was MSG, but I don’t know. It was average and oily, like you’d expect from an average place. The service was good, and if you couldn’t drive to another restaurant, this is a good place to go. I think if I ever actually ate here again I’d stick with a burger or sandwich. I wish there were some healthier choices.

Breakfast here is decent. I ordered the Belgian Waffle which resembled a pie than an actual waffle. I even told the waitress that it looked like a pie, which she replied with, «Enjoy! Eat up!» Surrounded by whipped cream and topped with slices of strawberries, the waffle made for a sweet and delightful breakfast. My only criticism is that the waffle wasn’t thick enough and that the strawberries made the waffle’s center somewhat soggy.

Now called just the Fez. decent breakfast or lunch place inMesquite. Huge Deuces breakfast has enough for my firefighter boyfriend… eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and potatoes! Caesar chicken salad is huge, lots of cheese, and creamy dressing. Eat up on your way to Zion! sit by the pool, it, s not so smoky!

At lunch here. Had the big salad that was wonderful, fresh, and huge! Had to save half for later. Waitress was weird — kept joking with us, interrupting our conversation with the couple that was with us. We try to eat low fat and the menu had only salad, but watch the dressing! :)

The only thing I think might be safe to eat is the club sandwich. It actually tastes like they have fresh turkey and ham every day. The casino is a neat place to stop between Las Vegas and Zion National Park.

Service a little slow for a not so busy Friday night. No kids menu. Portions large and tasty. Fresh dinner roll was a frozen breadsticks with melted parmesan cheese baked on. Veggies were overcooked. Ribs were tender and meaty. Good value overall but service could be better.

On our way to Zion National Park, we decided to make a pit stop at the Casablanca Casino and Hotel to use the restroom. Afterwards, we decided we needed lunch. There were a couple of posters outside the entrance of their coffee shop with a few of their advertised specials. We ordered the barbeque platter, crab legs, and a ½ lb. angus beef hamburger with potato salad. This was probably the best meal I have ever had at a coffee shop inside a casiino. There was plenty of leftover food that we took to our motel in Zion that evening. I forgot to mention the friendly waitress and the high quality of service got our vacation off to a great start.

My family stopped here for dinner on our way to Zion. There were 9 of us, which isn’t too bad especially since the café is in a casino and these places usually seat a lot of ppl on the weekends. Wrong. It took almost an hour to seat us, though the hostess was very nice. The servers were also nice and fairly attentive. HOWEVER, the food could’ve been waaay better. I ordered the salmon fillet for $ 9.00, and I should’ve expected to taste as dry as it did because of the price. My family’s meals weren’t any better. I might have had one of the best meals out of the group actually. My cousins ordered the veggie burger, which they described tasted like mashed up corn meal — very weird texture. Another ordered mozzarella sticks and, really, how the hell do you mess up mozzarella sticks? They were tough, chewy, and not melted as they should have been. Lastly, if you are not Caucasian, expect to be stared down like you are an unknown creature. My family and I are Pacific Islanders, and the whole casino seriously looked at us like we were aliens LOL. You would think people that visited Mesquite, or maybe just that casino, were all from the sticks. Maybe they are, who knows.

We stopped in for dinner despite some terrible reviews on a competing site. Do not stop here in hopes of an edible dinner… it was just awful. We haven’t been served overcooked, tasteless veggies in years, but that is what you get here. The wine is served in single serving Gallo bottles, your only choice. And enjoy your dinner, such as it is, with the busboy rolling up his dish cart right next to you and loudly clearing tables. Haven’t seen those rolling carts in years… for good reason. Add to that a smokey environment and you get the pic. The worst meal in memory… so bad that we’ll avpid Katherine’s which is right next to it and appears to share a kitchen. Hopefully they’re better but in a casino, on a Saturday night, they were closing at 930 pm, which we noticed as we left the purple fez. Downright odd.

Portions good, flavor fair, Service is terrible, the one waiter we had kept having conversations with other staff while taking our order when I told him he was being rude, he says ok I’ll listening to you now and turned his head and started talking to someone again and never got our order correct. Stupid Mexican is needs to go to Alcodonas Mex where you expect them to be rude.
