Roaches crawling on the glass in the waiting area. Waited for an hour to be seated and they let all people coming after us be seated. You just lost a huge 10 top ticket to on the border… but getting my business anymore.

Yay for authentic mexican food in Texas!!! My cousin took me out to eat at this place last weekend and it was so delicious. The chips and salsa were on point and they bring you fresh made tortillas with them also. I ordered the chicken fajita nachos and they were enormous. I really liked how they put the toppings on a separate plate in the middle so that you could dip them as you eat. They give you generous portions of food and we had great service.

We’ve run into a number of places recently that have decided that they want to be stingy. This is not one of those places and we appreciate it. The menu is basic blue-eyed Mexican food, but it’s tasty and there’s plenty of it, and the service is gracious and friendly. You get the impression that their chief concern is to make you happy.

The only good thing about this restaurant was the pre-made soft serve In the entrance. The queso was orange, we found bones in the boneless chicken breast. 3 of the 4 employees we came In contact with had the attitude that they would definitely rather be somewhere else. Especially for the price, we could have come out el Fenix next door for a cheaper price and higher quality food. I do not recommend this place and we won’t be going back.

Went here on Friday night with some co-workers. Luckily we got there early before the mad rush. The server, Alayshia(sp?) was very nice and was on top of everything. I asked her for a suggestion for a drink since I do not care for traditional margaritas. So, based off her suggestion, I had this mango flavored drink. It was so good, I ordered two… lol Instead of having a dinner, I decided to have the fiesta sampler. It had nachos, chicken flautas, and queso. I was stuffed and had enough to take home in a to-go container. As we were leaving, the place was really starting to get packed. If I were to come back, I would definitely go here for drinks and appetizers before 5pm on a Friday, because after around 5 or 6, the place really fills up and gets loud.

We just moved to Mesquite and wanted to place carry out for the 6 of us helping me and my wife move. It took a while to find something everyone agreed on Posados had something we all liked. I called and they put me on hold. I waited for 10 minutes and was trying to be patient since it took a while for us to finally decide on something. I called back and said I had been on hold for a while and would like to place an order for carry out. The hostess apologized and put me on hold for another 5 minutes. After a total of waiting 15 minutes, I hung up and we went elsewhere.

Came during early lunch hours several days ago and ordered the 2-entrée lunch special with a beef tamale with chili(which was huge) and a cheese enchilada covered in queso. The food was hot and tasty, and I had never seen a tamale bigger than an enchilada until my visit. The chile con queso was also excellent, and the others in my party were happy with their lunch entrees(tacos, chalupa etc.) It did take our food an abnormal amount of time to come out, especially for lunch; however the wait staff and manager came out and explained that there was a problem with their computer system, offering to comp any desserts or other items we might order. Overall, staff was very friendly. There is free ice cream at the front for the young and young at heart. The number one thing I hear about Posado’s when it is brought up is «Is that the place that’s really dark inside?» The answer is definitely yes, even(maybe especially) during the day. It would be nice to light the place a little brighter during daytime hours as it is otherwise very difficult for some to read the menu. I plan on coming back.

Lots of choices for margaritas to fit your style! I highly recommend the Tres Generaciones on the rocks. The salsa is ok, I like a salsa with smaller chunks of tomatoes. The beef fajitas are excellent. They will literally melt in your mouth. The chicken taco salad is hard to beat. I promise you will not be disappointed with either of the choices.

We live near Restaurant Row & I was craving mexican food so we stopped in to eat 8⁄31. The waitress comes over & my husband orders a Coors light & a chardonnay, never ask what kind I wanted. She returned with a his Coors and Sutter Home Chardonnay. I ask her, what else they had and she said that is the only one. Liar, liar, been here before. So I go to the bar an ask when did you stop selling Kendall Jackson? He says we have it. Long story short, got Kendall, another waitress, food was o.k. Really dislike someone lying to me.

Time of visit: Saturday night 9pm Wait time for table: 2 minutes Number in party: 3 adults and a picky eater teenager We arrived after a large party had just left. The manager seated us himself. Our waitress, Courtney, had drinks, chips, salsa and tortillas in front of us in almost no time. Our glasses Never got past half empty! I had the Quail and Beef Fajitas platter. I have not eaten quail grilled that well since I was a young boy going on hunting trips with my grandpa ! Everyone enjoyed their meals and the picky teenager was so full he needed a to go box because he didn’t want to leave his meal. The food and staff were excellent! If you have not been here, het off you’re butt and go!!!

When I first visited Texas a few years ago, my husband’s family took us here as I’d never sampled Tex Mex anything except from Taco Bell in PA, lol. I was floored. I love this place. It can get pretty crowded and I hate crowds but I’ll wait and stay for this place. The people are always so nice, the waitresses and waiters are fast, efficient and proper. They’re quick to top off my tea(THEYDON’T OVER-SWEETENITHERE! I love that! As a Pennsylvanian, I find a lot of Texans love their sweet tea VERY sweet.) And they give you free chips and salsa which I love. Sometimes the salsa is really spicy but I love spicy so no complaints here! My husband doesn’t have the iron stomach trait though and it can overwhelm him, lol. Sometimes even the manager will come speak with us and shoot the breeze. They seem very dedicated to the service and are always kind. I would say the menu is plain but in honesty, I think it is authentic. I especially LOVE their relleno. Sooo good. I like all the random décor they have, I always find something new and interesting that’s tucked or hung in an area I hadn’t been in yet. Old signs, rudders, animal heads, plants, pottery, it’s just a cluster of electic interests that I adore. They also give you good liquor, LOL. I have been to some establishments that water down the liquor while still charging arms and legs for them and after 6 – 8, you aren’t tipsy. Here, I can’t finish my margarita because I’ll be loaded, lmao. My family loves their free desserts and my father especially loved the free icecream. The place always seems very clean and laid back, the bathrooms are always impeccable. We’ll probably be visiting until we’re ancient! Would recommend!

My husband and I had a anniversary yesterday… 3 yrs of marriage… Anyhow we are still celebrating. Anyhow we came in and i had never been there before. But, glad we came. WELOVEDIT!!! we definately will visit again. The staff are very professional, helpful, they know their stuff. And the food… Oh my gosh — i can not say enough good about it. Very delicious. My fave was the Primo Queso. The queso is very delicious and filling and so are the free tortilla’s, drinks, and chips and salsa. Then we got our dinners and you get alot of food and very worth the money you spend. We got so much food we were only able to take a few bites and then we had to get to go containers because we were full. THATIS A MARKOF A VERYGOODRESTURAUNT. Also the resturaunt is very clean and awesome atmosphere. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! THANKSPOSADO’S…

Food and service were excellent. I had chicken and beef enchiladas. The black refried beams and rice were awesome. Free chips, salsa and tortillas with honey. Margaritas were overpriced and very average. Cool atmosphere. Overall I like this place and will definitely be back

Okay, I will preface this review by saying that this was my absolute favorite for mexican food restaurant until tonight. Right after being served our food, one of the biggest cockroaches I have ever seen crawled almost onto my husband! My husband jumped out of the seat and yelled for someone, anyone, to come help. As that one crawled back behind the booth, one of its siblings crawled out and up the wall, eventually crawling on the light fixture at the next table and falling onto the table! These suckers were HUGE! Finally, here comes Mr. Manager, who not only acted like it was no big deal, but actually said that it was an older building and that we ARE in Texas! The entire waitstaff was appalled at not only the appearance of disgusting roaches crawling next to their guests, but were shocked by the ginormous size of them! They were much more concerned than was Mr. Manager, who at first only offered to move us to another table. When we made it clear that we had no intention of eating another bite, he finally said he would take care of the ticket. I don’t know about anyone else, but if someone had that happen in my restaurant, I would have been just as horrified as my customers, and certainly not have made excuses and told them the exterminator was due to cone out Thursday! All that tells me is that he is quite aware of the problem, and if they’re crawling on customers, you know the kitchen must be infested! Last I heard, those things hang out where food is kept! Well, Posados, we had a good run for a long time, but I believe it’s over. I wonder if Mr. Manager would tell a member of the health department that this is, after all, Texas!!! Skip the near heartattack and just go to Café Del Rio. Trust me you’ll be glad you did.

What a weird dining experience. The food is nothing to write home about, just your typical run of the mill ‘authentic’ Tex-Mex food. I had the tamales and the girls I was with had the puffy tacos and the chimichangas. All mediocre food. What really got me was our server, from the bat he was a bit off, awkward jokes, long lengths of eye contact, hovering around our table, etcetera. Which was strange but we brushed it off; I work in the service industry so I always appreciate when the people who service me are friendly. The weirdness reached an all time high when at the end he asked if he could sit down with us and preceded to have a conversation with us about fajitas and ecstasy. We left shortly after.

People in Party: 2 adults and 2 kids Day of the Week: Saturday Time: 3:30pm Wait time to be seated: None Time to get drinks: Approx. 5 minutes Time to get appetizers: Approx. 8 minutes(after ordering) Time to get food: Approx. 15 minutes Restaurant Style: Tex-Mex Beer Served: Yes Number of Visits: 40+ The first and continuing thing about Posada’s is what you get and how it tastes. You get chips, salsa, warm flour tortillas, sopapillas or ice cream for Free. Now this may not be unusual for Mexican places, but the quality is really good. Appetizers: Posada’s homeade Queso, which we had never had before(it was not on menu when we went last time). It was very good and the kids loved it. It arrived piping hot. The free chips showed up hot and warm and right in time when they were about to be empty. The salsa is awesome and has nice little kick to it. My Entrée: Chimichangas(beef) with queso on top and plate came with rice and beans. The plate came out extremely hot(thats good) and was very tasty. They don’t skimp on anything with this plate. I could also recommend the Monterey, which I’ve had numerous times and have never been disappointed in this one. Wife’s Entrée: Combination Fajitas(chicken and beef) which were to die for, especially when you put that garlic butter sauce on them. She loves this dish and gets it everytime she goes there. After dinner the kids loved to get the ice cream and the adults had the sopapillas which are just insanely good. I guess my only complaint would be the music. We were close to a speaker and it seemed a little loud where depending on the song it was a little tough to have a conversation. Posados has stood the test of time and continues to serve great food on a consistent basis. If you leave this place hungry then its your own fault.

Came to eat but experienced extremely horrible service. Sucked cause 2 days ago it was awesome So, we wait over 30 min to be seated. The server dropped ice tea on my leg cause she over filled my cup. Waited 1 hour and 30 min for our food, which mine was wrong, the wife was missing some of her food and 1 family member, didn’t get his plate of good cause his order wasn’t even placed. Then we get a new server named Jason cause our other server her shift ended. The manager never came to speak with us only the server. So, yea, never going back. Way more other places to eat than just here. 1 star

In a word… delicious! Start off with chips, warm tortillas, and salsa. Then the chicken chili relleno with sides of refried beans, Mexican rice, sour cream and quacamole. Finish it up with a sopapilla. Did I mention the chips, tortilla, salsa and sopapilla are all free? Decent house margaritas too! I love the butter and honey on the warm tortillas :-)

We were really hungry by the time we got to Mesquite from Dallas. We hadn’t eaten since about 6 am and had spent the morning exploring downtown Dallas and the museums. We had one stop in Mesquite, then it was time to start thinking about some lunch. I love Mexican/TexMex and was really in the mood for some chips and salsa. Although there were some other interesting restaurant options around, after checking Unilocal,we ended up here because it had a lot of decent reviews and there were lots of cars in the lot. This is a pretty big restaurant, but they have it split up into smaller rooms, which makes it feel more cozy. There is a tortilla machine in the back. We had a really friendly waiter, that was very professional, friendly, and patient as we took a little more time with our decisions since we hadn’t been there before. He was good with offering advice when we were struggling with our decisions too. They had a great choice for lunch specials that were still going although it was probably about 2 pm by the time we were there. So many Mexican places have the combo lunch specials, but I often struggle to find a combo where I want all of the items they are offering. With Posada’s, you really choose how many items you want in your combo, then you can combine your choices from a list of options, which was awesome. You can get regular tacos, fried tacos, puffy tacos, chimichangas, enchiladas, all sorts of things with choices of meat(beef, chicken). You also get to choose rice, beans, or tortilla soup(for 50 cent upcharge). I am a tortilla soup nut, so opted for that with rice, puffy beef taco, chimi… guest got fried chicken taco, black beans soup… there were other items, but I can’t remember. We enjoyed chowing on chips and salsa until our food arrived. First, the puffy taco is like OMG the hugest one I’ve ever seen. A little different from puffy tacos I’ve had, this one looks like a small spaceship and it’s stuffed with probably about ½ pound of tasty beef. This thing could feed a small family on it’s own! After finishing the puffy taco, the soup was cool enough to dig in and it was perfection. Seriously, that stuff was awesome. Even the rice was delicious and I usually leave most of my rice on my plate. My guest enjoyed her food too. Let me just say, our meal was composed of us shoveling food in our face between moans of glee. Well, we finally gave in… our guts were about to burst. My guest excused herself for the restroom and I waited for the check to return. Suddenly, our waiter comes out with plates of sopapillas that are complimentary. I’ve had lots of sopapillas in my life, but regardless of how full I was, these were the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. I started with the plan of just taking one bit, but you can’t stop yourself. They are so good and warm and fluffy… if you like funnel cakes, you will weep with glee from these. I finally had to stop, there were a couple bites left, but I couldn’t take anymore. I pushed it away and my guest said«WHATAREYOUDOING? EATTHATRIGHTNOWORWEAREN’T LEAVING!» So, I did. I don’t know how, but I did. Then, we drove to Ft. Worth with our pants unbuttoned. LOL!
