I had a craving for wings yesterday and I wanted some Hooters but the cowboys were playing and the wait was over an hour! So I saw Hurricane Grill and decided to give it a shot. Pretty much, the wings were good. The fries were good lol it got the job done. Craving satisfied! The prices were great. Will be coming back

The parking lot was empty, so we went in today unsure of what to expect. We both ordered wings, fries and drinks. The ginger wings were tasty, but the teriyaki wings sauce was too sugary in my opinion. The menu includes crab cake sliders, burgers, ribs and salads in addition to many other things. Draft beers are 2.00 dollars, which is pretty reasonable. I don’t think a lot of people know about this place, I would hate to see it close because of that. It is decorated very nice, and our server was excellent. I will definitely return.

Be careful when going here. They are not willing to make any changes to serving food. Also, this is the only place I used my credit card in Texas. Next day charges were on my card from Mexico. Coincidence…

I like this place. Its really laid back. They have good wings. The drinks are also really. The hurricane is strong. This place is fairly inexpensive. The serve is average at best. The bartender was helpful but not friendly. I has a south Florida vibe.

The only reason I gave the 2 stars is because the food actually tastes decent. I’ve been here a few times and have always left satisfied with the food. The service, however, has gotten really bad. It went from OK to horrible! All of my experiences have been during lunch time and there were only 2 other tables in the entire restaurant. The food takes forever to come out because they only have one cook.

It’s really not 5 stars. I was a bit over-exuberant in my initial review. Just happy to find a little bit of home here in DFW, but truthfully, the wings at B-Dubs are probably better. That said, the live music and Florida vibe are still lots of fun.

I first want to say this isn’t my first visit. My first visit I was waiting about 30 minutes to be seated… never got seated not even talked to so I left. I came back about a month later to give this place a second try unfortunately I get the same result only this time the bartender sat me… in the far back. I waited for about 15 minutes until the bartender said something to the manager about someone needing to see us. after two waiters arguing over who will take our order we finally got our order just for our drinks in… buy I had enough time to actually read the whole menu and the drink menu so I placed my whole order. My wife is still waiting on her water for 15 minutes before we actually got our waters and drinks. We had already had to send the food back for being the wrong dish and not made right. The food is somewhat good, if you have had a lot to drink… they burn the fries and over cook the wings… stay away just go to tgif down the way for better food

This evening was the first time I visited hurricane and I was less than impressed. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings and a Dr Pepper. The Dr pepper was watered down. I asked the waitress to give me something different because the Dr Pepper was watered down, so she brought me a Coke. The Coke was an alright substitute, however I would’ve preferred Dr Pepper. She informed me that the Dr Pepper could not be fixed and that this is all that they had. Once the food arrived, the wings did not have enough sauce covering them and they were dried out. The staff was friendly, however there weren’t enough waitresses for the amount of people dining there. There needed to be more staffing.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on sunday. We ordered parmesan fries, wings, and firecracker shrimp tacos. All of the items were very good. When we ordered the waitress brought us samples of the wing sauce that we chose. It was not very busy that day. I hope they do well.

Generally, the experience was ok, but it wasn’t something I found compelling enough to go out of my way to experience again. Really, it was somewhere between a 2 and 3 rating. The food on the menu was pretty much what you would expect from an «American» type wings and grill place… hamburgers, sandwiches, wraps, etc. etc. etc. For what is supposed to be one of their specialties, I had to spend a fair amount of time looking for the actual wings part of the menu… it was all the way at the bottom on the last page. I found the variety of the sauces interesting. They were definitely different from the standard Hot, Hotter, Hottest, honey, and garlic varieties that you find at most wings places. I had the«Ancho Chile, Lime, & Garlic» and«Fire & Ice» sauces on my wings. Both were pretty good, with a somewhat understated level of spice. My main complaint was there there wasn’t a whole lot of sauce on the wings. At least two of my 10 wings had barely any sauce on them, and I could clearly see the breading on the chicken. I have to agree with some of the other reviews regarding the fries at this place. They are NOT the fresh cut fries that they claim. They are definitely some form of bagged fry. Whether they’re the chain’s proprietary fries or from Sysco, I don’t have the slightest clue. They weren’t bad, but they definitely didn’t look or taste like fresh potato to me. Other thing that gets a downvote from me is the service. We were one of 2 or 3 groups in the restaurant(at 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday). We didn’t even see a waiter for about 15 minutes(the hostess eventually had pity on us about 10 minutes in and took our drink orders). Drinks were filled mostly with ice, and then took 5 – 10 minutes to be refilled. Personal opinion here, but if you’re looking for a wings place, I’d go to Plucker’s before I came back here.

Juicy thick burgers, great sauces, grilled chicken, & yummy crab cakes. They only charge .50 for added cheese, grilled onions, or grilled mushrooms. If you like garlic, try the fries tossed in garlic sauce and sprinkled with parmesan. They use the same garlic sauce on the steamed brocoli, so good. Try a frozen hurricane or Margarita for $ 4.00. I have had great service everytime I’ve been there. They have a poker night and karaōke night too. Karaōke is awesome with Ronnie Ray. He plays guitar along with the singers for added quality. There are also flat screens everywhere to watch sporting events.

Can’t believe anyone would rate this place under 5 stars! Great food, excellent service– wings can’t be beat and garlic fries are delish, will definitely be going back. Definitely needed a fresh new place on restaurant row

Yummy food and great service. Even at almost 9pm. This was our second trip to this location and I don’t have one complaint. The first time was a weekend and we still had great service. This is my FAVORITE wings place. Fell in love in NY. I’m just continuing the love affair. Come check it out, y’all!!!

The first time I went the food was great and service not to shabby but second time around was a lil busy and I was seated like at 8:05 and 15 minutes later I still didn’t know who my server was or was offered drinks… ten minutes after I got seated though a couple sat behind us in the following booth and immediately got a server and drinks.. I mean I know they were busy but at least seat me and offer me drinks so I know im taken in account, but everyone ignored me! Anyway I left cuz I wasnt going to wait any longer and went to a better place were it was the total opposite experience. … word of advise for this new place. .if ur trying to get customers, new customers, u should try and appreciate them and make them feel like they should come back…

Ok, went to the new Hurricane Grill & Wings in Mesquite, TX with some co-workers from work. First impressions were good. Nice atmosphere and many delicious looking menu selections. I say delicious looking because their menu displays photos of many of the items. The staff was quite friendly. We ordered Chips & Salsa and Fried Pickles for starters. The Fried Pickles were actually good, the Chips & Salsa was ok. The Chips were good but I swear the salsa was Pace Picante Mild Salsa. Pretty sad from an establishment that prides itself on sauces, albeit for wings, but you would think they would put some effort into salsa especially in Texas. [FAILURE #1] I ordered the Hurricane Philly(steak) and Fresh Cut Fries for my side. When placing the order I asked the server if it was stuffed as shown in the photo on the menu. The server expressed that it was big with lots of steak. My co-workers ordered a Hurricane Philly(steak) and a BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger. When the food came, it was a major disappointment. The Phillies were small and lacked adequate amount of steak. The bread was not worthy of calling it a hoagie, basically a hotdog bun and the steak was a tad better than Steak-Umms. [FAILER #2] The worst thing was the fries! DONOT claim your fries are Fresh Cut Fries if they are Walmart’s Great Value Regular Cut French Fried Potatoes!!! The fries didn’t even come close to looking like the fries pictured in the menu. They were the standard processed frozen bagged fries. Maybe I misunderstood the menu? Since it is obvious they meant freshly cut open bag of Walmart’s Great Value Regular Cut French Fried Potatoes!!! [FAILER #3] The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger was at least cooked to order and my co-worker said it was ok but not as good as most other restaurants. Besides the food, the servers were annoying. Now I do understand they just opened the doors the day before but they had at least 50 servers standing around doing nothing because there were only 4 – 5 tables occupied by customers. We had 4 different servers come over to our table in an attempt to remove the Chips & Salsa. [FAILER #4] The Chips & Salsa substituted for our sides because the fries were so nasty and falsely represented on the menu. Nothing bothers me more when a server attempts to remove items when you are still eating. Also, since the servers had nothing to do, some started cleaning the floors and tables directly around were we were seated while we were eating. In summary, none of us will be going back to Hurricane Grill & Wings. Of course something might be good on the menu but if you can’t get fries, burgers or a half way Philly right, I can’t see how anything else could be right. Who knows, maybe this is the quality of food people expect these days, but with the Fridays, Sports City, Hooters, next door and Buffalo Wild Wings, Bikinis, and Bj’s, across the highway… I can’t see how this place is going to make it when the same type of food is better at each of the other establishments mentioned above. Well, I hope this review helps and if you do decide to go I will say, «I told you so!»
