Hooters

Service is slow and talent is suspect. Don’t have beer on tap that is advertised so what is the point. This will be my first and last time here. I know there was a reason why I didn’t go to Hooters and this confirmed why I haven’t been to one in over 10 years. Good thing my friend is in town for the weekend as I will never come here again. I will stay away for the rest of my life. The food came cold, no silverware, and haven’t seen or server in over 20 minutes. Good thing I wasn’t thirsty or hungry. On top of it, we ordered all drums for the wings and guess what came out? All wings! Terrible! A simple request that can’t get fulfilled.

very slow waited 20 min to be seated when booths were open not to mention the wait for the food was terrible the only positive thing i will say is the waiter was very apologetic but the manager was no were to be found. very long wait to eat we arried around 4:30 didnt leave till 6. will never be eating here again !

Its a very busy place that we had to wait a bit to get into. We didn’t mind. We sat at the bar and were taken care of quickly. The beer was cold and the food was hot. The bartenders made sure our drinks were never empty. Only issue was the floors were a bit dirty.

This review doesn’t reflect on the good food but the 20 minutes we sat and waited for someone to make contact with us. We arrived at 11:20. This is 20 mins after the restaurant opened. We stood waiting to be seated for about 3 – 5 minutes and the placed was all but empty. We were seated by the bar tender due to no hostess. The booth we were placed was dirty and we ended up having to clean it ourselves. It was 11:45 before our waitress came out table. We came very close to leaving and going to Buffalo Wild Wings. Service today was terrible. The waitresses were having some type of meeting because they were all sitting in the back at a table, turned around looked at us then went on with their meeting. I assure you I’ll not come came.

This location is the worst! The server was not attentive! She brought out something we canceled before she left the table and did not bring out something we actually ordered. When she brought out our food she asked us if we ever got our appetizer. I told her no, you never brought it to us. All she had to say was oh, my manager will come over. The manager was not any better, all he said was I’ll take it off the ticket and walked away. The food did not taste good and the restroom smelled like a sewer and trash was on the floor. I’ve been to several hooters locations and the is by far the worst, the customer service was terrible, the manager was unconcerned, and the uniforms were not constant with other locations (all of their’s looked as if they were purchased a size too small). I will NEVER return to this location. Every other hooters I have visited have had a great environment, the staff were friendly and look nice.

The service and view at hitters was much better then expected. I really had a pleasant time, except for an old drunk lady yelling for the Cowboys that sounded like she just had smoked a pack of cigarets. Service was great and Shelby at the bar was fun to talk to.

My experiences here have been hit and miss with taste. Waitress are always nice and accommodating. Bar staff needs more personality. I have more fun drinking at a table than the bar.

Absolute rudest service I have ever had. My boyfriend and I went here for a couple drinks one night after work and I was appalled. We had 3 drinks each and the manager walked over to Us With our tab saying that she needed us to leave and that we had drank too much. You may think this is a typical «I swear I’m not drunk story» but I can assure you, it isn’t. We were very confused as we got up from the table after we had our our tab. We tipped the waitress only $ 3 for only checking on us twice the whole time we were there and as we walked out she yelled «Really?!?» while standing at our table looking at the tip she earned. Definitely save your money. Do not eat at the Hooters in Mesquite.

The Hooters chain is one of my wife’s favorites because she loves the wings. (I like the food AND the experience :)
We showed up for lunch on Saturday about 1 pm. Curiously, the parking lot was full, but the restaurant wasn’t. The host seated us quickly. (I was glad he wasn’t wearing the tight orange shorts…)
It took a little while for our waitress to appear, about 10 minutes. She was smiling and friendly, but didn’t understand English very well. My wife and I ordered the very same beer (Dos Equis Amber) but received different grades — she got the lager, I got the amber, and it took awhile for them to arrive.
My wife ordered wings and I got a burger — both took too long to get to the table, but they both tasted good.
When it came time to pay and go, it took another lengthy wait to get the bill. Didn’t tip as well as I usually do, but you know how that goes.
Waitress: Looks 8, English 3, Efficiency 2
This restaurant seems to me like it’s one where the management is always struggling to keep up and not quite able to stay on top of it all.

This place is a dump! Service sucked because the waitress was getting her 18% from our large party. We asked for a table for 15. I heard one of the managers, or what ever the little fat guy was, tell the front that «if we didn’t accept a table for 12, we’d just have to wait!» Another manager-​looking woman stood and visited for at least 15 minutes while our server was drowning! Going to the restroom in the parking lot would have been much nicer! This is the most disgusting place I’ve been to in a long time. No worries, I won’t be back! You guys made a butt load of money off of us! Thanks for a most unenjoyable experience!

The layout looks different and looks newer than inside versus Houston.
When you walk in you must wait to be seated. They have a few males working here as host to show your seat, which is cool. –non prejudice
Upon seating he saw our table looked a bit «crummy» so he wiped it with a napkin. My friend asked to have the table sprayed before we eat. Nobody wants to eat on a dirty table who knows if the previous people have been drooling all over the table!
Our angelic server Courtney gladly cleaned our table, and took our order.
The wings came out I ordered a lemon pepper rub and it lacked flavor. It’s okay though my fries and wings were still served hot!
During waiting for my wings I looked around and saw a chicken wing on the floor lol! I also saw them leaving a bucket of silverware on the table around where people are eating. Do you guys just not care about environment?
In the parking lot there was a metal rod sticking out, we asked to speak to a manager since my friend hit her foot and the rod penetrated her shoe creating a hole. The manager Milo, just asked if she was okay and then walked off. When he came to talk to us it was rather unprofessional he didn’t address himself, and just seemed careless. We just didn’t want a kid to trip over it and get clostridium (yes the bacteria related to tetanus)
I personally like hooters, but i just couldn’t help but to notice a few things out of order. I can now see and tell you why they got 1 – 2 stars! Keep it clean in there hooters! Pictures below

So, we came here because my little brother is back from being deployed and used to love this place… key word here is «used».
When I checked in on Unilocal,I asked why you had an angry guy as the main pic, but she didn’t know what Unilocal was and it kinda made me giggle. Heh.
We ordered the Buffalo shrimp as an app, and all I can say is the quality has gone down hill, and that is putting it nicely. Our waitress, very nice, but I will leave it at that. We ordered a tall captain and coke, she wasn’t sure what that was, but that’s ok, she asked if it was the guy with the hat. Finally ended up ordering a tall sailor and Dr pepper after giving up on trying to explain. Delivered in a small glass. The manager doesn’t seem too sure on what’s going on, kinda just walking around aimlessly.
Why do they stand in pairs and start clapping? ??.
Well, we are waiting for our main food, being delivered now, will update soon.

:update: apparently my 1 star review brought them down to 1.5 stars from the 2 stars it had when we walked in the door.
When we came here years ago, the Buffalo shrimp were amazing (we would order multiple plates), the sandwiches came with a small cup of beans or potato salad, the «hot» was actually hot and tasty, the chicken was juicy and worth the price, I could go on. This time though, the chicken sandwhich was really bad, but the fries and onion rings were goodish and the beer (once I finally got it) was cold. You might need more than 1 beer to eat here.

The worst service at any restaurant! Yes we did have a big group but we where very easy. Food was ok but when we asked for our check it took 30 mins to get it and it was 5 times what it was supposed to be then it took another 30+ mins to get it right which total was over an hour to get it. No apologies where givin and after many try’s we will not be back. This place needs to SHUT down!!!

Hooters wings are to die for!!! Definitely my favorite restaurant when it comes to wings. Wings are small but tasty! The fried jalapeños are good too. Just that the waiters take a long time! I remember one of the times I went, the waiter was taking her sweet ass time! I was getting so frustrated! We nearly waited like half an hour for our check! She finally brought it to us, I gave her the money & she took forever!!! I started to look around the restaurant only to find her giggling with 1 of her co workers. I went up to her & very rudely said «can I have my change!?» She gave me a face and handed me my change. She Didn’t deserve NO tip that night. Stupid little … Ugh! Anyways! That didn’t change my outlook on hooters tho… I love it still

The food was ok nothing more than ok. It was louder than normal and the server was ok she was hit and miss. Not sure if was just busy that day but the staff was very slow. Never the less I was hungry so I ate. Oh yeah staff is not very smart the host tried to sit us by the big hole in the ceiling with water dripping so nasty I asked to be moved that was a problem go figure

I think the wings got smaller… I remember all the other Hooters places had much bigger wings.

This is the worst hooters ever the one by my house in north Richland hills is so much better. I went to this ones month or so ago for a birthday and it was awful. Someone I was with complained and the manager was a complete asshole about it. Wouldn’t even hear her out. Never going back to this one. I’ll stick with Nrh were they have a competent manager.

They seriously need to put a consistent manager in here.

We mostly order to-​go for work. Whoever answers the phone has aweful customer service skills because they always act ANNOYED. Even when I go in to pickup (at the bar) the service is terrible, and they act put out. If they were nicer, I’d probably tip to-​go, but they aren’t, so I don’t.
The food just isn’t fresh. The fried pickles with jalapinos aren’t good anymore, and the wings have way more breading than chicken. Even when I’ve dined inside (my brother-in-law’s bright idea) the service isn’t great, and the waitresses are more interested in talking to eachother than taking care of their tables. Their personalities are about as bland as their food has become.
Other locations are just better all around.

After a long day out about in the woods hunting varmints and other things to plink at, me and little homie were hungry and Daddy needed some Bentleys!
I’d not been to a Hooters in so long that I was single-​minded in my pursuit of Hooterness! Little man protested offering up everything he could think of (I’m unsure of his aversion — but I believe he’s just bashful about all the pretty girls — he’s a cute kid and they fawn over him).
We pop in around 3PM on a Tuesday (kids eat free — BONUS), it’s also happy hour (BONUS). Shiner Bock for Daddy, root beer and a coloring set for little man. We go in, wash up and sit down. I check in with Unilocal,homie is doing the word search and my wings /​his hot dog are out!
I decided to try the XXX again, so I did a half/​half XXX and Bentley. I should’ve stuck with the Bentley only. Just not a fan of the XXX flavor, heat or not. With Bentley sauce to dip in it’s spicy enough.
I polish off the first 6 wings (they came on two plates) in a few minutes. Then go for the next plate, I grab the flapper and it’s cold. Not luke warm, but refrigerated cold. I send em back and watch the a$$hole cook give the waitress a hard time… uncool man. I’m not going to let you acting like a fool (IN CLEAR SIGHT OF THE CUSTOMER) jack with what otherwise was a great Hooters experience and excellent service.
Two words — punkass douchebag (or is that 4? ;))
We finish up, pay, and are on our way home. I’ll choose this Hooters over the one in Plano because of the great wait staff and the food (misstep aside) was hotter/​crispier/​fresher tasting.
