Wonderful Mexican food. My family had mole enchiladas, chicken flautas, and steak tacos. All was delicious. Everything, even the salsa and chips, was home made. The green sauce was great! I had the mole enchiladas. The mile was rich and the chicken was moist. The service was excellent. Very eager waitress. The weather was nasty tonight so they weren’t very busy, but the food was still great. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Dallas.

This place was okay. I guess I don’t get what the big deal was in other reviews. Chips and salsa were good, although the chips were the super heavy chips, like the legit fried corn tortillas. Great, really, but so filling you kind of kill your appetite. So I guess I prefer normal chips. Food was good but not great. Service was super friendly. All in all, good but not great. I’d try somewhere else next time.

This place was a nightmare! The first thing you noticed was the heat, they don’t have working A/C!!! Then we order a large horchata and they bring us 16oz cup, priced at 2.99! Then we ordered 2 gorditas and a side order of refried beans. We got the beans and instead of them being mashed and refried they were whole beans! I asked the lady that she got my order wrong, she said that’s how they serve them at their restaurant. Then she brought me my gorditas and the masa was raw(not fully cooked)!!! I asked her that they were not fully cooked and she said that’s how they are! OMG!!! I told her I wasn’t paying for this meal, I didn’t even eat it. She said I had to… I asked to speak to manager… she picked up the phone to call them! Bad! Bad! Bad service! I will never go back!

We stopped here unexpectedly for the first time tonight, on our way home. It was awesome! We were greeted immediately and handed menus by a very pleasant girl. I ordered the Chili Relleno de Carne for takeout. It took less than five minutes before it was in my hands, and we were on our way. I just finished it, and the food is excellent! I’m so glad she gave me a menu because I will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I chanced it by going here. The place looks unassuming but we were taken back by how good there food was. First everything appeared and tasted home made. The dishes aren’t like your typical mexican food place. We each had two different types of dishes that we have never seen before. Even the beans and sour cream was home made. The only drawback is that it didn’t serve alcohol so you have to bring your own.

This place is so good it’s become like home to me. Great food, friendly, helpful staff… you just can’t go wrong. Not your typical Tex Mex, much more like the real thing. Their chips are homemade and fantastic. Time for dinner! Roddy Parkinson

The restaurant is very clean, and the service is great. The chips and salsa verde are delicious. The salsa is not the typical red salsa. The flavor is awesome. I ordered the chicken mole. The chicken was dark meat, and it was covered with the mole sauce. The mole seemed a little thick. The flavor of the mole was great. I just had to get used to the thick consistency of the mole. I’m used to the not so thick mole that is cooked slowly with the chicken. I think the mole was applied after the chicken was cooked. The corn tortillas were super delicious. The rice drink was also delicious. The price for the entrée and drink was affordable.

Beautiful, clean, unique ambiance. This is going to be a fun place to go in the summer when we can sit out on the patio. The food is absolutely wonderful and well priced. It s not typical Tex-Mex or the standard Mexican fair. I had the Enchiladas Huastecas which were made with flat red corn mini-tortillas, beans, meat, potatoes, topped with shredded cabbage and white cheese. AWESOME! The sauce is a verde, but not the mild verde you may be use to gringo. It s very flavorful and SPICY and can get quite warm if you eat too much. The chips are not the standard yellow corn chips either. They re flour, look and taste freshly made, either very crunchy or a chewy crunchy depending on thickness. The menu offerings also run into what I would call(as a gringa) South American faire. The have Gorditas! YUM! And stuffed Sopas. The plate presentations are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palet. They also sell tamales by the dozen and menudo by the pot on Sundays. AND if you’re part of the crowd who hates all of the above, they make hamburgers and chicken nuggets. The service was fabulous as well. Very friendly, cordial and welcoming. Drinks were refilled promptly, which is a sticking point at most places for me. This was a good find and hopefully, with more GOOD reviews, will be a much more crowded place in the weeks to come. This place deserves to stick around a while. So much more than Salt and Pepper. Love it!
