Affinity Spa Salon

Seemed clueless about how to fade and blend. One side is shorter than the other. The shampoo and massage was great though.

I have been coming here for a few years. Always great service in a Professional atmosphere. I love the shampoo area, I almost fall asleep every time I go in there. Very relaxing!
They have a huge selection of retail items. Heather is very talented, I always leave happy, and it doesn’t break the bank.

I’m so sorry you came in and there were issues going on. We have been making some great changes in our business. And have had some growing pains with it. I am a huge Paul Mitchell fan so when I moved to the New Orleans area I was looking for a salon that had highly-​trained stylists, creative free thinkers, and easy to get to with good parking. Affinity is on the bus line if you do not have transportation like I do not right now. Affinity is located right in the food court of the mall so it was easy to find. It was fun and upbeat just like I was used to with my Paul Mitchell salon back home. The stylist I had welcomed my funky hair request and did a great job. The receptionist was friendly and helpful as I was just a walk-​in and concerned if a stylist could handle my alternative hair. They have an area called THE WASH HOUSE that is where they shampoo you and it is like a zen paradise. It is dimly lit with meditative music playing. My stylist was very knowledgeable about my hair and the products. Also, my visit did not empty my checking account! They also have a huge retail area with tools, too. I came in on a Sunday when most salons are closed which was great for my working schedule.

I have never had a service here I have only been in the retail portion. I can say that they have probably the most extensive selection of OPI color in the city. They always have the newest shades and also have the fun mini bottle in the new series which I love because it lets me try several different colors before committing to a large bottle. The cons of this place is easily customer service. Any time I have ever been there the people checking you out seem clueless or totally bothered by your presence. Also, even if you are in line and have been waiting to check out if someone finishes with a service they (quite rudely) check them out before the retail customers. It’s a bit of a peeve for me but I keep coming back because they have what I want.
