Happened upon the awful staff at Chad’s and was so appalled that I had to write a review. If they treat their bar/restaurant customers as well as they treat well-meaning passers-by, they won’t be in business long. Chad’s is located in a dingy, ugly strip mall with inadequate parking for the number of little shops that line the strip. I was there for another business and a spot in front of Chad’s was open with no sign to indicate that it was reserved for their customers. Two of Chad’s employees were outside and although there were other spots open in the lot still, they asked me to move my car to the parking lot across the street to make room for all their customers(not a single Chad’s customer in sight might I add on a Friday night). The female employee was normal about it, but the male employee(who looked kind of like the guy from Clerks, but uglier, meaner) was incredibly rude! And I said so. Well he went off at me. «You F*@kin’ b! t@h, I’ll say it however I want to. I’ll $h!t on your car!» Seriously, he said he would defecate on my vehicle. WTF. I would never, ever eat at Chad’s and I hope that tool loses his job over this review.

I was in town for business and was looking for a place nearby my hotel to eat and grab a drink. Here, I stumbled upon Chad’s Bistro. It’s a small but quaint place. Not too shabby. I entered the cocktail lounge and took a seat at the bar. The bartender, Grace, was very friendly and provided great service. This could’ve been because not too many other people were there, but she was outstanding. I had the Eggplant Napolean and stuffed crab dish. The Eggplant Napolean was pretty good. I’ve never had fried eggplant, but I enjoyed it. The stuffed crab was decent. It reminded me of Thanksgiving stuffing but with crab meat. It was still tasty. The potato salad was a little bland. Overall, it was a good experience. I would come back again. They have a Seafood Boat I would have tried if I had the appetite. It’s a big bread boat with all sorts of fried seafood laying in it.

Love love love this place. Food is excellent and fresh! Not just normal boring recipes, they put their own spin on it. So many choices on their menu. Hard to decide on one thing. Very much worth the price.

Chads is great for lunch. Chads may seem expensive but their lunch menu is comperable to all the local restaurants. The hamburger steak is very good. Cooked to order. The chicken parm wasnt very good. The breading didnt stick to the chicken and wasnt seasoned. The interior is clean and quiet. More upscale than other lunch options in the area. I’d recommend it.

While at work one day last week, the postman delivered a pamphlet advertising this place, Chad’s Bistro. What caught my attention, other than the delectable offerings on their menu, was the little insert advertising their weekly«Happy Hour.» Monday-Friday from 4−7pm with $ 5.00 appetizers if you dine in the bar area… with that being said, I knew I had to pay them a visit. Last night, my best friend and I went and graced the lovely staff at Chad’s with our presence. When we arrived, it was very intimate yet casual. It was empty, aside from the couple who was dining in the main dining area. We opted to go to the bar area so we could take advantage of the specials. They had spinach and artichoke dip and I would be a liar if I told you it was good… ITWASTHEBESTSPINACHANDARTICHOKEDIP I EVERHAD!!! It was nice and hot and served with little pieces of toast – not those stale chips that several neighboring restaurants offer. The toast made it even better!!! She had the turkey melt which was served on a warm flaky croissant with a loaded baked potato. I had the fried shrimp sandwich which was served on toasted french bread and I opted for fries. The fries were just regular crinkle fries, nothing spectacular. The shrimp was good, but nothing compares to that spinach and artichoke dip! Everything is decently priced and if you check-in on Unilocal, you get a 15% off coupon good for lunch or dinner. Our server, whose name I forgot, was a doll. She was sweet and attentive… although there was two times I had to get my own drink(it was tea) and my friend’s water because she wasn’t around. But, overall I can’t wait to go back. A nice little quiet spot where you can unwind from such a hectic day! Oh, and one more thing I want to mention… they currently don’t have a drink menu nor a dessert menu, but they have a full bar with some delicious options and the server we had can assist you with your selections. From what I can remember, for dessert, they offer crème brûlée, bread pudding, cannoli’s, and they have their own special twist on beignets! Ok, that is all now!

The location is in the typical and terrible suburban strip mall hell. I eat lunch here on occasion and the extensive menu is generally in the Italian Creole realm. They have some well executed dishes and I’ve generally focused on the seafood options with the occasional chicken or veal parmesan. They often will have some surprising things that you wouldn’t expect on the menu and it is always a good place to eat. They have some dinner specials that can be a good value. The service is variable and certainly more laid back than anywhere near fine dining standards. Much of the food often gets up to four stars but the ambiance, service and strip mall location of the place make it less enjoyable than it could otherwise be to me. The interior is far nicer than you would think from seeing it from the outside but it still lacks the character you could have in a different setting than the limitations of a generic strip mall.

A decent little place located in a strip mall. The best thing on the menu? fried artichoke hearts. A little expensive at 8 bucks for an appetizer portion when many of the other items aren’t much more expensive… but they are good.

Chad’s is pretty good. They have an extensive menu so anyone can find something to their liking here. One thing that stands out in particular were their house made mozzarella sticks. They take a ball of fresh mozz, cut it in half, batter it and deep fry it. I died and went to cheese heaven!

First of all, if you like seafood ATALL… or anything remotely New Orleans inspired… you HAVE to try Chad’s at least once. I assure you, you will go back for more. Everything I’ve had from them has been great, especially the shrimp and corn bisque, though you can hardly go wrong with that anyway. Decided to take it easy last time I went and only ordered the herb-crusted tilapia, and even that was yummy. Brought a friend and an artist from NY, and they both lost their minds. AND I QUOTE: «If food is like this down here, no wonder it’s tough to stay on a diet! This is like the best food I’ve ever had! It’s just not good like this anywhere I’ve been!» And she travels a lot, mind you. My friend texted me at 3 something in the morning telling me she woke up just to eat her leftovers!!! The BBQ shrimp pasta(pretty much a winner anywhere), the white chocolate bread pudding(YUM!!!), the artichoke cakes that could win over even the pickiest of veggie-hating kids, the beignets(which were basically what I called«the Krispy Kremes of beignets» because of how light they were in comparison to others’), everything we had was excellent. As a matter of fact, I went back one hour later to get MORE. I was tempted to put four stars instead of five for two reasons: ordering take out involves going to the bar and waiting a relatively long time, a feat I would not at all advise for non-smokers, though maybe there were so many people smoking because it was so late. Second, we got the new guy, and it took us about three hours from entrance to exit. Not knocking anyone else, because we ordered, then watched a table of four old ladies eat their appetizers, GIGANTICLOBSTERS(and I’ve no idea where that was on the menu… I looked), and like two plates of beignets with strawberries and honey before we even got our food. Of course, everyone was still nice, and the other waitress came to us to handle what our server didn’t. In any case, this place is MOSTDEFINITELY worth the try.
