Good quality and fast food! You order at the counter and you can either wait 10 min or so and take your food to go or they have tables so you have the option to dine in as well. This place would get a 5 star if it served pad thai, but maybe that takes longer and can’t be served at an express restaurant? I went here for a quick meal and was very disappointed when I couldn’t get pad thai, but they made up for it with their Korean beef tacos… YUM! I also had the chicken vermicelli which was tasty as well. Overall, this place is perfect for lunch during the week or on the run.

Always hot and always ready in ten minutes. You can park, pickup, pay, and walk out in less than two minute. Quick and friendly staff and great food

This is our go to spot for Phở. We usually get the dine in special with phở, banh mi, and then order spring rolls to go with it. They are fast and cheaper than the other phở restaurant around Metairie. Love this place and recommend it highly

This is THEBEST phở place I’ve found! I don’t live far and stop in about 3 times a week for either lunch or dinner. I’m partial to the phở with either eye of round steak or brisket and an order of pork spring rolls. Although, I have tried other things on the menu like the Korean beef with rice and their roasted chicken, but it’s the phở that I crave! The service is quick and very friendly. Whether I call in an order to pickup, stop in for some take out or eat there, my experience has always been very pleasant. Yes, the parking lot is small and the dining room can get cramped during busy lunch hours but the food and service more than make up for any inconvenience you may experience with parking or a crowded dining area.

This place is great! The tacos are wonderful as well as the phở! Super fast which is great when you have hungry little ones! They are very friendly and accommodating especially with request on food. The restaurant is clean and well lite. I want to try more of their goodies! I can’t wait to go back!

We have eaten here 3 times in the last year. We share a large Phở, beef, round steak and a bon vermicelli salad while there. Phở is doctor it your way and between the condiments and the garnish provided we love it. For $ 7.95 the Phở is a nice value. This was our first salad and we enjoyed it, pork was tasty. Then we take the Korean beef tacos and the BBQ pork bhan mi which we love. We have always had prompt and friendly service.

Eh!!! It was meh. Maybe I am just playing hard to get but the BESTPHO is on S. Carrollton. I stormed in on a rainy day(drenched) only to find onlookers looking at me while bobbing and weaving chopstix. I was embarrassed. That place is small; yeah express… I get it. You order at the counter and your food comes in under 10 minutes. The convenience will get me back there. The lunch special is under $ 10. I can’t really complain, just a little wet and sticky meal… that was just OK taste. Bön Appetite!!!

I ordered take out even though everyone had pointed out how terrible their customer service is. They were nice in my opinion, placing the order and picking up the order there really weren’t any problems. the food was what i had a trouble with, I order Phở Ga, it just felt like something was missing in it… not sure what but there was an overpowering taste of star anise and cloves in it which was a big turn off… also when they gave me condiments, they put siracha(even though i asked for chili sauce that had the flakes) and hoisin sauce all in the same container so it was mixed together and it just didn’t help at all. so for me the service was good but the food was okay.

Our go-to phở place! They are always, always quick with your orders and the food is excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Been here numerous times to eat in and take out and I’ve never once been disappointed. Even the soft-spoken counter guy is always polite and smiling.

This place is amazing! When I first started coming here, it would just have a few people, but now it is packed for lunch every time I come. The word is out :) The food is delicious, tastes fresh, and is quick. The prices are great. What I see most people order is the special: a «baby» phở, and either a half sandwich, 2 spring rolls, an egg roll and a drink for $ 10. A great deal! The phở is delicious, and the bread for the sandwiches is the best I’ve had at any Vietnamese restaurant. The rice dishes are good as are the spring rolls and egg rolls. This place is a hidden gem! Well it was, now it seems the word is out :)

Love the pork belly tacos & Phở orchid banh mi. This place is nice & clean and food was prepared quickly. They could step up their fresh spring-rolling technique but I love that they offer brown rice paper wraps.

Working late and need phở to go? This is your place. At least, it’s now my place. This is kind of «on the way home» between Metairie and Marrero, I guess. Anyway, get the tacos(I tried pork belly, which is amazing). Get the phở. Any kind will do. It’s all fantastic. If you call ahead, they usually have your order ready in 10 – 15 mins, which is great for pickup. Dining in? They have tables too. I’ve never actually sat down for a meal here but when I run in to grab my takeout, the customers who are dining in seem happy.

Before giving this place a try I despised Vietnamese food. I apparently ordered the wrong things on my first couple of attempts so I’m glad I gave it another try. The best thing about this location besides the food, is the lunch special. You get 2 spring rolls or 2 banh mi, bowl of phở and a drink for $ 9.95. I particularly like the shrimp and pork combo spring rolls and the eye round steak phở served med rare with a little siracha added. Its located on the same side as Rouses on Airline towards New Orleans. You order at the counter and they bring it to you really quick so its perfect for a light and fast work week lunch. The downside is you have to dine in only to receive the lunch special. If you order to go, you end up getting a larger phở and it will cost you almost double.

I like the phở here, the broth seems to have more flavor than some of the others on the east bank. I usually get vegetable phở and they add a good variety of vegetables. I’ve also had the spring rolls but the don’t put herbs in them, like the ones on the West Bank do. They give you a good helping of herbs and sprouts to put in the soup. They have a larger selection of condiments on a side board than the usual hoisin and sriracha, as well as pickled peppers– all of which is nice. I like the self serve drinks/tea and fresh lemon. The cashier taling the order has always been efficient and helpful when I’ve been there. They have a system down so it doesn’t take long to get served. I have tried the banh xeo(Vietnamese crêpe) which is goôd but not as good and crispy as the one at Phở Nola. This is my go to phở fix now.

So glad I finally tried this place. Don’t think — as I did — that because the exterior looks bad, the food will be bad. Really really good, and I eat a lot of Vietnamese. They make their own French bread, too.

The phở here is very bland, you’ll have to know what to ask for if you want some flavor.

Coming from San Diego where there is a plethora of Vientamese restaurants, this one is pretty legit. It’s weird hearing people pronouncing it FOE. It’s a soft O people! But back to the review… The phở is so phoking good(see, soft o)! And they have plenty of spices/sauces to add. Mine ends up being a deep orange with all the Siracha I add. The Bahn Mi’s are all pretty good. I’m not the biggest fan of the meatball because it’s more like a sausage taste/texture. But the pork, beef and chicken are yummy. I always get the lunch combo for a sweet deal and the cashier has always been super sweet. I want to try the tacos next!

What is up with delicious restaurants taking over old Popeye’s locations? Yep this little Vietnamese joint is in a former fast food establishment on Airline HWY. OK I’ll let that go. Once you’re inside, you won’t believe the renovation. It’s really spacious and modern. Order at the counter, get your own drink and wait… but not for long. Your choice of dine in or carry out. The menu is a bit brief(hence the Express) but their was plenty to satisfy everyone, veggie or meat eater. I had a noodle bowl(bun) with tofu and it was delicious and refreshing on a boiling hot day. I will have to go back and try their vegetarian phở and see how it stacks up against my favorite… just not when there is a heat advisory.

I’m new to Phở so all you Phở veterans don’t cringe when you read this. I walked in at lunch time and had not a clue what to order or how to order. The gentleman taking orders was extremely helpful and friendly. He explained the menu to me and helped me order. I got the lunch special which included a baby bowl of Phở, a choice of side(I got shrimp spring rolls) and a drink all for a nice price of $ 8.95. The spring rolls came with peanut dipping sauce and I really enjoyed them! I ordered chicken Phở which I didn’t really care for too much. I think I’d try beef next time as I understand that’s the way to go! The restaurant keeps all of the sauces on a back wall so as my hands were full with purse, drink(you have to get your own), and silverware I didn’t grab any sauce. Maybe sauce would have made a difference in my Phở, not sure. Overall I had a nice experience but can’t really compare the food to anything because it was my first go! :-)

Just a few years back I had a hard time finding any decent Vietnamese noodles on this side of the river, now we have almost an embarrassment of riches. Noodles, noodles everywhere! Lucky ME!!! This is another perfect place for me to hit on my way to work for some great, fast food. The in-house lunch deal is fantastic! You get a small bowl of phở with your choice of meat, your choice of spring rolls, bahn mi sandwich or egg-rolls, plus a drink for $ 8.95. and it is FAST when you don’t come at peak hours. The flavor of the phở broth is exceptionally delicious. A very well balanced combination of spices that make me happy every time. The spring rolls with peanut sauce are also right on point flavor-wise. I see myself going here once a week now that I have discovered how much joy I can get here.
