Yummmm! A friend and I had dinner last night there for the first time. The freshness of the food and the complexity of flavors were exquisite. We had spicy beef stew, curry chicken, and pork and rice plus spring rolls, all of which were off the chain! The people serving us made us feel like family and the restaurant is clean with a fun, laid back ambience. I’ll definitely be back to my newly found dining gem! Rolls and Bowls, you rock!!!

We were in NOLA visiting for 4 days/3 nights and ended up coming here twice. After multiple meals of fried goodness, a bowl of noodle with flavorful hot soup is the perfect thing to cut through all the grease. Their phở was excellent. Their spring rolls were excellent. Their staff provided excellent service with excellent attitude. Even the kids enjoyed their meal which included fried dumplings and sliders(without the veggies). So based on the above, they deserved 5 stars and I would definitely recommend them. I had to average the 5 stars food with the 2 stars tapiocas though. I drink a lot of bubble teas… A LOT. If a restaurant offers bubble tea, I try it. Unfortunately, the tapiocas here were very much below average. Mushy on the outside and hard on the inside. While the Thai tea I ordered wasn’t bad in itself, tapiocas are key to me in a bubble tea and the tapiocas were NOT good. If you don’t care about the tapiocas, you are good to go! :-)

I live in one of the best and diverse food cities in the world and for SOME reason, I can’t find Vietnamese food anywhere in New York like this! But seriously, if someone is reading this and can help a girl out with recs, please comment! I can live and die for their spring(they’re really summer) rolls. The fresh shrimp and basil avocado are the best! I also substitute the peanut sauce for their fish sauce– I’m just not a fan of peanuts. So I think it’s really their fish sauce. It’s unbelievably delicious! Perfectly sweet and salty, but I’m always adding a splash of Sriracha. The noodle bowls are the same jam. It’s basically a deconstructed spring roll with some extra lettuce with the fish sauce. I won’t pretend to be a Phở snob but I found their shrimp Phở delightful! Go for the happy hour spring roll special. It’s an excellent deal. And fish sauce, fish sauce, fish sauce!!!

This was my first time here, and I heard the guy in front of me order the Coconut Curry with Chicken, so I ordered it too. Wow, it was the best curry I’ve had in years! The man who works there was walking around checking on people, and when he stopped at my table, he said if I couldn’t eat all of it, I could take the rest home. I didn’t take any home, because I ate all of it. I’ll definitely be going back for the curry again!

I like to come here and get the phở noodle combination. The broth is tasty and the ingredients are very fresh. It cost about the same as a noodle bowl in any other Vietnamese restaurant. Very fast and friendly service and very clean. If you want to try something very good and tasty and different, try the green papaya salad. Very very fresh.

Let’s just say that there wasn’t a single bite left in my bowl. Yes it was that good! You order first at the register and the employees will bring out your food. They were pretty friendly and food came out fast. I ordered the grilled pork vermicelli with eggs rolls and boy was it delicious. It was filled with lots of fresh green along with the right amount of vermicelli. The fish sauce was made just right! The egg rolls was fried to perfection! We also had an order of grill pork sliders. Was good but I’ve had better. Wasn’t enough meat compare to other places. Place looks clean and well kept up. Kinda small inside, not really meant for huge groups. Went for dinner around 5:30pm and didn’t have trouble with parking.

Food is decently priced. It’s in a small shopping complex with little parking. The service is pretty quick since you have to order at the counter. The grilled pork sliders and the grilled beef vermicelli do not disappoint. I ordered an avocado bubble tea with tapioca pearls for dessert. I’ve had better avocado bubble tea, but it was still pretty good.

My friend and I came in just before the lunch rush during the week. She has a toddler and wanted to get settled before it got too busy. This turned out to be good. The place filled up quickly. Rolls N Bowls was very neat and clean. Parking can be an issue, as she quickly found a spot, but I had to circle a couple of times. You order at the counter in the back. She ordered the small egg roll noodle bowl, I had the lemongrass chicken rice plate and the lemongrass chicken steamed slider. You get your number, and get your table. I shared the sliders with my friend, and we both liked them very much. She loved her noodle bowl, and just couldn’t help eating the whole thing. My lemongrass chicken with rice was very good, and I had issues setting my fork down as well. The décor in this small-ish restaurant is very nice and stark. They had take out boxes easily accessible. I look forward to coming back!

Staff were friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. Our meal was again just delicious! We had the steamed bun sliders with pork, lemongrass chicken, beef vermicelli with egg rolls, stir fry soft egg noodles with tofu, coconut curry with chicken and a berry bliss drink. As always, we look forward to our next visit!

Fantastic fresh Vietnamese dishes. I was on a special diet and they accommodated me to perfection! All the food is fresh and cooked to order. The meals are plentiful and service is excellent. This was our third time back and I feel like Rolls & Bowls keeps getting better. The staff is very friendly, courteous and able to make great recommendations based on what the customer wants. The restaurant is very clean and the staff stays right on top of the tables and floors. I’d highly recommend Rolls & Bowls to anyone that has not tried it.

I have been here for few times and I think their broth is just too sweet for my taste. I ordered the beef stew one time and it was actually just warm, not even hot. If I am in the area and craving for phở, I may stop by but other than that, I think I will drive few miles miles to get better ones.

This place is so pricey, BUT it is really delicious. So that’s okay. I know the only reason why the food items are pricey bc it is Old Metairie. So the rent is SUPER high. I try to come here during happy hours so I can save some money cuz I’m Asian. LOL! Jks but who doesn’t love happy hours?! BTW this is NOT your typical restaurant! You have to come up to the cashier and place your order. This is not a sit down and wait to get serve kind of place.

I’m going to use words(which may or may not exist) to describe the absolutely fantasticness of this place! I have never eaten Vietnamese before, but once I took a bite of my first spring roll here, I was hooked! The amount of freshness and flavors served was unbelievable! We ordered a ton of food, but everything on the menu looked good so it was hard to choose. Grilled pork sliders were OMG. They were so good, we ordered another batch after. They are like tacos but with a soft, dough shell. We also tried the minced pork ones… also very good. Samba spring rolls were a treat to the pallette. Very addicting and tasty. Combined with the fish sauce was like a WTF, where has this been all my life, moment! Wong Tong soup blew my mind and my taste buds as well. Exceptional amount of ingredients in the bowl made it even more delightful! I also had the lemongrass grilled chicken which too had an exceptional freshness to it. To top it off, we ordered an Avocado milk smoothie which is one of the best things I have tasted! I didn’t think something such as an Avocado could taste so good but they make it with condensed milk so be prepared for amazingness. The portion sizes were very generous(that’s a good thing) and prices were very reasonable and affordable. The food came out fast and the dining room was clean. Also, it was one a pleasurable experience as well. The staff there were so friendly, helpful and on the ball! Go see Joe and tell him Rocky(and Kim) sent you. This is def. one of my new favorite spots in Old Metairie.

The menu is pretty simple, but much appreciated. The dishes and flavors are clean and crisp. Nothing is bogged down with sauces or toppings. The food is what it is. They offer other things– entrees, banh mi, noodle bowls and soups. I can’t honestly review these. All I get are spring rolls and sliders. It’s worth a try if you are interested. The friends I come with are always pleased. They eat other things and keep coming back. I love spring rolls. In my opinon, egg rolls are nasty and should be punished. This place offers delicious fresh spring rolls. They are full of veggies and meat, things that we should be eating. They also serve steam bun sliders. That’s become a food trend recently, and these are my favorites. The warm things are warm; the cool things are cool. The food tastes like what it is, fresh and wholesome. I can identify everything on my plate. That means a lot to me. There’s a happy hour. Let me repeat that. There a happy hour!
