SEARS Appliance Repair Review Not enough room to write how bad of service Sears Appliance Repair was. Short version — 3 trips from service repairmen, over a dozen calls to Sears customer service and national customer service; six weeks DRYERSTILLDOESN’T WORK. TERRIBLE — DONOTUSETHEM.

ALLCUSTOMERSBUYINGAPPLIANCESHEADTOBESTBUY!!! Best Buy actually process’s your order correctly, and price matches. This location is the worse Sears I have ever shopped at. I attempted to purchase six appliances, and Matt was my sales associate. I brought measurements of my existing appliances and photos. He informed me he was very sure a range hood with a microwave would fit in my new home. I purchased it, because he seemed so certain. I was hoping to use a 577.00 credit in sears points, but he failed to credit that on my order. The store was closing at the time, and I figured I could get credit for it another day, or use it towards something else. The following morning a third party installer for Sears called. Danielle stated my new range hood with microwave wasn’t up to code for my new home. The associate also failed to mention, even if it had been there would be an addition charge on top of the installation charge to install it. They were also unsure if they could install my dishwasher, even though I paid for installation on that as well. She stated I would have to speak to the cancellation department, where Rob, and Trisha were very unhelpful. I was informed I wouldn’t receive the same discount for canceling one of those items, because of the buy more save more deal. So I should pay more, because of their mistake? I canceled the order, wouldn’t you? I then called Sears and asked for the store manager. I got PAUL instead. The appliances manager. Paul seemed arrogant, and very unhelpful. I told him Sears wouldn’t release the funds from my canceled order. He stated it was up to my bank, but my bank stated it was up to Sears. He said to call back in a few days if I needed further assistance. He said he would help to get me the same deal if I purchased the items again. So I tried to give them my business AGAIN! My mistake! Paul never returned my call after two attempts to reach him. He wouldn’t help resolve the matter as he stated he would. BESYBUY on the other hand, did. They price matched every item, regardless if it was in stock at the time, and did it with excellent customer service. I recommend going in store at Best Buy as placing an order online, or over the phone was a bit tedious to say the least. My advice is to stay away from Sears! Their call centers are out sourced, and they don’t have in house installation. If you’re remodeling or making a large purchase there’s no need to add to the headache.

I’m not sure if Sears sells anything worth wild anymore. When shopping online they refer you to different stores which tells me they don’t really have anything of value to sell.

While the employees may not be the friendliest, and the store décor is a little bland and outdated, you can always get a good deal at Sears. This is the place to go for tools or for a cheap and comfortable work outfit. Even though I wouldn’t buy my shoes here, they do have great prices. Unfortunately, their quality is that of Payless. Personally, I need a better quality shoe because I don’t like my feet to hurt. On the other hand, I have been tempted because they do have some cute styles every now and then. Worst case scenario, you can walk in to the mall and goose another store.

Followed a reccomendation from another review I saw. Called ahead, worker came right down to meet me, put me in the system and off I went to my movie, came back and car was ready 2 areas for improvement — 1. Wal-Mart said they could get the job done in 1 hour and it took Sears 2 ½hrs 2. There needs to be a process, line rope, etc implemented for walk-ins and check out process..

Even though the employees are always pleasant, the lines are always extremely long. I have waited in line only to have to put down my items and leave because I had to return to work. They always seem to have good prices.

This place has a funky vibe. Coming here makes me feel drunk. There is always a worker acting bizzare. I swear the guy working just asked the girl across the store to give him Salsa dancing lessons so he could touch her hair. I meant what the heck is that? Last time the register girl went on about my purse and asked if she could try it for size.

I bought a Husqvarna lawn mower from this store about a year ago. After about six months is would no longer start. I went back to the store to determine my options at that point, and was told by an associate that I should try to replace the spark plug, air filter and fuel before I dropped it off, because they would charge me if it were one of those problems. I bought the filter, but the store could not find the plug, and so began my hunt for a Champion 8815. This part does not exist except from the Sears online store, and only from NGK. When I placed my order, I received a reply note that the main Sears warehouse does not stock that item, so they would have to try an find it in a store’s stock room. So essentially, Sears knowingly sold me an obsolete mower, with neigh impossible to get replacement parts, that appears to be a lemon. Once I fail at repairing the mower, I return to Sears, where an associate tells me to bring the mower back for store credit. I am thrilled by this news, run home, pack it up and return to the store. Once I get there, the story has changed. I am then told that they will try and repair it, as its under a year old, and if they can’t they will give me a credit toward a new mower. This news is saddening, but acceptable. One week later, I get a call from Sears in Florida, stating that I must accept charges of $ 123 to fix the broken carb and plug socket. I have never even heard of these things failing on a mower in only a few months, until I looked up reviews on this model. So now they have my lemon mower, that they knew was a lemon when they sold it to me, and they want half of the cost of a new mower to fix their lemon and return it to me, after telling me the repair would be free. This is the last time they get to defraud me.

Its hard to imagine a more depressing store. You can expect a dirty store, slow service and the stares of many human like creatures who sucurry about the asiles. Don’t come here. Literally anywhere is a better choice.

I had a very odd experience with the automotive service department. Being the internet junkie that I am, I went on the Sears website and used their site to pick out some tires. It told me which ones would fit my car, and so I ordered those, picked out my installation options, plus an oil change, ready to pick up the next business day. I received an email saying that the order was ready for pickup, but it didn’t give me an appointment time. So, I called up this Sears location and asked if I needed to make an appointment or just stop in. The older-sounding gentleman on the phone seemed completely confused that you could even order tires online, let alone have a mechanic install tires purchased online. I figured it might be best to just print off the confirmation and visit after work. Fast forward to the appointment. My car was checked in, and I went over to the mall to do some shopping. I was told it would probably take about 1.5 hours start to finish. After an hour of shopping(not much to look at in that mall), I sat down and played Angry Birds to pass the time. Eventually, the head mechanic came over to inform me that the tires I purchased actually weren’t the right size. Argh. Yes, I should have caught that, but so should the guy who checked me in, so I wasn’t waiting for 1.5 hours before they noticed! Anyway, I ended up paying the difference for the larger, more expensive tires. After waiting another 1.5 hours, it was complete. Everything else went smoothly. There just needs to be a more efficient connection between the Sears website and the Sears auto center. The employees themselves were easy to deal with, friendly, professional, etc. and in the end, my car came out looking and running great.

I really don’t usually do much shopping at Sears. When I do it’s just because I happen to be in the Clearview mall and I see some tee shirt or whatever that I want. I got the idea to go here because I needed to purchase a mattress for my guest room, and it being Presidents day, I knew there would be some pretty big sales. I honestly just was going in to look at what they had in stock, verses the internet, and was then planning on just shopping around other places doing the same. I realized pretty quickly that I’d be hard pressed to find a better deal anywhere. I ended up picking exactly what I wanted, and saved about $ 300 dollars, compared to what the original price was, and from what I had found in other stores online and calling around. The lady that was working that department was very helpful and friendly. I wouldn’t really consider her an expert on the products, and she did gently try to push the more expensive mattresses on me, but I’m sure she works on some kind of commission, so that’s to be expected. I last bought a mattress at Doers, and I think that they may be a little more knowledgeable about their products, but that I think was to be expected in a more specialized store. I however had researched and knew what I wanted and was pretty educated on the brand and style I wanted before hand. They have free delivery, if you want it on the weekend, it’s $ 10. Wondering through the store, I found it hard to actually find someone who works in some departments. They have kiosk to check out throughout the store, so I guess there is that, as far as finding help, but there was someone actually stationed in the mattress dept. All in all, not a bad experience. I still don’t feel compelled to shop here more often, but department stores aren’t really my style anyway. If you are looking for a good deal, watch the sales, you will most likely find one here!

Very nice mechanics, but bad experience here, in terms of time. I was initially excited, because all I needed was to have two tires put on my car after buying them and scheduling my appointment online the day before. My appointment time was 9 a.m. I get there at 8:45, and waited just over 50 minutes just for someone to see me. The weird thing is that the mechanic had the customers waiting in the work area. The tech told me it would be 2 hours. I explained that I scheduled my appointment for 9 a.m., and my tires were paid for. He acknowledged that, but said I had to wait because they were very understaffed that morning. I left, had coffee, then I had lunch(good thing everything is in walking distance), and returned at 11:45 a.m. They hadn’t even STARTED on my car! Finally, they finished the job at about 1 p.m., and my day was SHOT. I thanked the mechanic for his help, but let him know that I would never have made my purchase online nor would I have scheduled an appointment had I known the real deal.
