My wife and I visited the Veterans store in search of a king mattress. We were escorted to a demo bed and the salesperson began her pitch with us both lying on the bed. She asked for my email address so she could send the results of the individual number adjustment pressure patterns to me. I said yes, as long as they didn’t use it for marketing or contacting me about purchasing a mattress. The salesperson said they would not.
I received an ad from their headquarters.
They lied to my face. The store manager was 7 feet away.
We purchased a mattress elsewhere. Who knows what else they lied about.

There’s no reason to sleep on a traditional innerspring bed anymore — they’re bad for the back. I guess they work if you’re young (and can take it), or trying to save money.
Better bedding systems are:
* Tempurpedic foam
* Sleep Number adjustable air mattress
* Individually wrapped pocketed coil mattresses like Stearns & Foster
Benefit of sleep number is the adjustment, which is perfect for guest bed (!!). Other benefits are lightweight and each partner can have different firmness. We also like Tempurpedic models that feature the HD foam, which provides great support and soft comfort at the same time. Also slept on a Stearns & Foster for a week and it was pretty nice too.
Really like this Sleep Number store as it’s so spacious, and it’s much bigger than their traditional mall stores with convenient parking.
