This place is great for what it is — innovative Japanese-ish fast food in a clean, hip environment. The sushi wraps come in colorful soy paper and were surprisingly delicious and filling. Service was super friendly. The restaurant itself is very clean. Prices are super reasonable. Not at all authentic(gyoza listed as ‘dumplings’ on the menu; Korean metal chopsticks for dine-in, etc), but still a great place to get a quick, cheap bite on your way home from work. I’ll definitely be back!

If you have to go to this place, don’t get fish, they are not fresh. Average 20 $ order takes about 10 to 15 min. Food 1⁄5 Price 4⁄5 Service 4⁄5

I will be back, clean, nice music, the Philly roll should come with avocado and celery inside but that’s my only complaint, it was nice and fresh :-) theres a kid menu, 3 of us ate and had drinks $ 24 total. THEMENU is nice and spacious, no confusion everything right out, including ingredients. food came out very fast. :-) lots of parking, this is the updates because we’ve been back, this place is spotless and neat, just always empty but I had a deeeeeep fried salmon roll! Yuuuuuummmmuuuumeeee

Stopped by the sushi place with the funny name. I was coming from a late movie around 10pm and it was the only sushi place I saw left open. Overall the experience was ok but nothing special. My friends had a worse experience then I as he ordered some green tea and proceeded to give him a cup, and when asked for a refill they just gave him more hot water, no tea bag. The sushi is nice size pieces but very expensive when you consider how much you get for the same price at other shops but I guess your paying for the convenience. I thought this was going to be fast food sushi and it wasn’t that experience at all. In fact I don’t know what you call it.

I finally tried this place out for the first time and unfortunately i regretted it. I was expecting the place to be more like a restaurant, not fastfood(which i without a doubt did not like at all). The menu was small and nothing i want to eat. I tried the edamame and steamed gyoza, you can never go wrong with that. Its all good but the sauce was plain. The panzu sauce tasted more like a soy sauce. I asked for a sweet chili sauce and its neither sweet or chili, it was salty. Second i ordered the ocean waves with tuna whitefish and salmon. I was so appalled to see that my salmon was pale orange, ive been through alot of sushi house. That is not how i want to see my salmon, needless to say i was afraid to eat it. Water was good… Im sorry but this sushi is not a place to be if you are a sushi eater. Youre messing with RAW fish please keep it fresh.

Cool, clean, casual vibe. Great lunch spot. Owner & staff were super welcoming & helpful. Taco Tuesday?! At a sushi place? Well she explained it. A fried wonton stuffed with crab or spicy tuna, some honey wasabi sauce, other taco stuffers & there you go! 2 for $ 6. Tasty! Snow crab salad with avocado was good too. They have a lot of creative rolls on the menu & sushi wraps. Plus, if you have picky people with you, they sell burgers & fries & chicken fingers! Sweets=fried Oreos & fried twinkies. I’ll be back to try all of that.

Fun, innovative twist on a sushi restaurant. Casual atmosphere and affordable sushi. We did a build your own which I liked because I’m always craving specific things. The twist roll and tried a sushi wrap. The sushi was delicious and the rice was great. Plenty enough food. Fresh fish although sliced a little thinner than what I’m used to. Try a sushi wrap. It was great for a quick sushi fix. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

While driving on the road, I noticed this place! The sign is bright and colorful… how could you miss it. I like the way the restaurant is set up. I am not familiar with whoever was here before but I like it. There’s a long table where everyone can sit together and eat or at the other tables. They have refillable drink station with serve yourself ponzu sauce! I love that! Ponzu sauce at will! Bathroom is clean… I like the motion sensor faucet. I am a such a sushi snob. I use to work at a high end sushi bar in Fort Worth… so i judge the rolls differently than everyone… here it goes. I ordered the bento sushi box which came wIth spicy tuna roll, side salad(or soup) and i chose seared ahi tuna sushi. The salad was iceberg lettuce with some grated carrots and ginger dressing on the side. I prefer to have my salad tossed in the ginger dressing. The dressing was not too strong in ginger… nor was it a creamy ginger dressing… I’ll try the soup next time. When eating sushi… I judge it by its looks, basically looking at the meat to rice proportion. In this case, there was plenty of spicy tuna against the rice. The roll may not look big but I rather have more meat than rice! The next thing i do is smell my food! If your sushi or rolls have too strong of a fishy odor… don’t eat it. There was no odor from my sushi or roll. When looking at the sushi or sashimi, i look at the color of the fish, smell it and then taste it. My tuna sushi was pretty good. I added ponzu for flavor but would have loved some fresh sliced jalepenos. My spicy tuna roll was as I expected… it was good but not great. I’m partial to just sashimi or sushi… not much for rolls. This is definitely a great place for newbies to the sushi. Plenty of cooked rolls available to order. Kids menu and free meals for kids on certain days is another great option to save money! They also have other items that are non-sushi related… but why go to a sushi place if you aren’t going to eat sushi! Will be back to try just sashimi.

Go to Rouses and grab some of their sushi instead, I mean that is basically what you will be getting when you order from this place. If you want good sushi that warrants the premium price then go to Fuji Sushi on Vets. Premium rolls are in the $ 15 range but it is so worth the price over these similar priced«premium rolls» that taste worse than the stuff at Rouses.

This is a good place to get quick, fresh, tasty sushi. I’ve been there at least 4 times now. There isn’t a huge selection to choose from but for what they offer I’d recommend them. The inside is very clean, the staff is always warm and welcoming, and last but not least they are very quick. My girlfriend is new to sushi and I’d say it’s perfect spot for newcomers!

We came for the first time two weeks ago and have already been back twice… Very cool menu — they have some original and interesting stuff(«wraps» and bowls) plus a build your own roll(6 ingredients plus choice of sauce)… Great lunch/casual sushi spot. Everyone who works there is fantastic as well. We will definitely be back!

First time here and will definitely be back. Ordered the steam dumplings, seafood sushi wrap, and crab dou sushi wrap. The wraps are the size of a big burrito and packed full of ingredients. The ingredients were fresh and the combination creative. Bring the kids their kids menu even offers a tempura corn dog. Which is served with fries and a drink.

So we gave this place a try, 2pm friday parking lot empty. bad sign. But hey, it was raining. The place is new and nice with a 42″ tv. No sweet tea, a MUSt down here. We ordered the calamari it was different, it was not deep fried. It had a shake and bake coating. We then ordered the«Pop This» Roll, it was weird. It was not bad nor was it good, it had no flavor. We think its processed ingredients, «fast food Sushi». We gave them higher expectations. They serve chicken tenders for kids. This place is great place for beginner sushi.

SushiPop took over the old Romano’s Italian Street Food building. Everything is exactly the same inside which always had a nice clean feel for a counter service restaurant. The food was exactly what I thought it would be as soon as I heard it was a chain. Its basically grocery store sushi at restaurant prices. We ordered the jalapeño popper($ 11), create your own($ 12), seaweed salad($ 4), cream cheese puffs($ 4.5), kids chicken tenders($ 6), kids corn dog($ 6) and fried oreos(3 to an order for $ 3) for dessert. The jalapeño roll was very small in relation to the cost and it being on their specialty menu. I created my own roll which includes 6 items(seafood/veg) total so it was bigger but lacked flavor. The sauces for the roll and cream puffs tasted like they came out of a commercial size container. The seaweed salad has shredded iceberg in it, I guess to stretch it but how much does seaweed really cost them? The kids enjoyed the chicken over the corn dog. Most likely because the hot dog had a tempura batter. This place may be good for beginner sushi eaters on a short lunch break. We were on a short lunch break but the quality left us unsatisfied.

My boyfriend and I were wanting to have sushi on a Sunday night. We saw Sushi Pop and decided to give it a try. The build your own roll is awesome!!! I highly recommend ordering that. We both ordered build your own rolls and everything was very fresh and delicious. We also split a build your own bento box which was just as great as the rolls! The rolls vary from $ 6 – 10 and the build your own is $ 10. The service was very fast. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. I also saw they have to go ordering too. This was a great place and will definitely be returning!

Whoa, 5 stars! Are the sushi rolls as good as Kanno or Sake Don? Well, no, probably not, but I am giving this restaurant five stars for a few reasons. The concept, the convenience, and the price. It’s conveniently located right by clearview mall, so it’s in a perfect location for a lunch or dinner before the movies or before a shopping trip. It’s kind of like a sushi version of Pei Wei. You order up front and the food is brought to your table. The prices are great especially for the amount of food you get. The lunch bento box really caught my attention because you get a choice for each component. I chose the hot and sour soup, fried rice, spring rolls, crunchy roll, and chicken teriyaki. My boyfriend chose the salad and the cream puffs for his so that we could share and try everything. I really liked the cream puffs, but I liked the sauce that the spring rolls came with. I love that I was able to get a crunchy roll rather than a california roll which is what most bento boxes come with. The chicken was good, and it was quite a filling/enjoyable meal for $ 10.00.

This place is wonderful. The staff was very friendly and the food was wonderful. The menu is medium sized and easy to navigate. *sorry I forgot to take a picture of it* I ordered a Bento Box with miso soup, fried dumpings, fried rice, crunchy roll and beef teriyaki. Every part of my meal was delicious. Yes, Bento Box portions are small, but that is because Bento Boxes are for lunch. Prices are fair and the quality of the food is amazing. You can tell that a lot of love and pride goes into making their dishes. I will be back soon.

I had a sudden crave for Sushi last night and passed by this brand new restaurant last night, my wife and daughter wanted to give them a try, and glad we did. My daughter ordered a California roll from kids menu, and it came out with a very cute 2 components bento box which had cali roll and fries, my daughter chose an organic milk with her meal and total was only $ 6. My wife and I ordered a bento box, hot and sour soup was delivered to our table right after we sat down. Soup was very tasteful, chicken teriyaki in the box was perfectly cooked, it was tender and there was a baby bok-choy vegetable underneath the meat and it was yummy with the sauce. There were two pieces of vege spring rolls came with the box, extremely fresh, vegetables inside was crunchy and had lots of flavors. The portion of the bento box was so big that my wife ahd to ask me to share with her. I ordered couple of special rolls because I noticed the price is fairly cheap like only $ 11, for most of sushi restaurants probably will charge $ 13-$ 14. Pop this roll is a cooked roll, I also ordered Ocean waves which has raw tuna and salmon on top. I got my rolls less than 10 minutes with the bento box, we were kinda surprised by how fast they make sushi. The presentation of the roll was great, rice melted in my mouth and they were full of flavors with the sauces, the raw fish was extremely fresh, I have to say they are definitely one of the best sushi i ever had. We couldn’t finish the food we ordered cause the portion was too big, my wife packed the rest to take them home. Overall, it’s a cool place with very relaxing atmosphere, price is cheap but doesn’t compromise the quality. Food comes out really quick which is perfect for people who want good sushi but hate to wait. I absolutely recommend this new restaurant and definitely will go back soon!
