Steak tips are great, finished my beer and the bartender already had one ready for me. I can control the jukebox from my phone so the music rocked all night.

Great steak tips, salad was really fresh and the bartender was super nice. All in all a great experience and I’ll def be back.

The much talked about steak tips were dry and tough. The homemade mac n cheese was delectable! Loud inside! But nice server and spotless dining area!

Great food and fantastic drinks. A great place to meet with friends and family alike. Big TV’s for sports fans and live bands for the music crowd

FOODWASGREAT. Bartender friendly. Off shift staff, at bar, drinking, holding personal phone calls, less than classy.

Outside looks deceiving but this place is decent ! Service is great. Atmosphere is chill, typical pub style which is comfortable. Chili nachos were great. Burgers were okay. That’s all I had. I don’t have any complaints but no ravings either. I probably need to try more !

This place was okay. We went on a Sunday afternoon, and I will say it was weird being the only female in there besides the bartender/waitress. Despite being the only one waiting tables/bar, she was right on top of things and attentive. Food was decent. We liked how the buffalo tenders weren’t overly fried, and my grilled chicken sandwich was good too. I just wish it came with some sort of mustard on top(it was just a great piece of marinated chicken with lettuce and tomato). This seems like a great place to watch a Bruins or Pats game… when we went there was a NASCAR event on, and their giant projection screen was great.(We’re not NASCAR fans but with a screen that large, we got totally into it!)

Disappointed. Got the recommended steak tips. Just ok. The simple garden salad tasted like something was going bad. Worse … the beer was on the wrong taps, and tasted stale(Sams Boston Lager).

GETTHESTEAKTIPS. Seriously! these are like a plate full of tiny filet mignon’s. They are delicious. We sat at the bar, and the service was great. We got to watch a hockey game and have a drink while eating out of this world pub food.

Great pub, great atmosphere, good food, and entertainment. Muddy has it all and then some. Muddy boasts the biggest TV Screen ever with others around the room. Reasonably priced drinks, good menu selection, of which your choice is well prepared by the kitchen. They have Keno and various social events during the week. The land lords make sure there guests are looked after and actively participate in the day to day customer service. The staff are awesome too.

Went there with a friend the half price appetizers were good but nothing special. I got the special sandwich which was the Ruben with fries. The corned beef was as tough as shoe leather. The bartender asked how everything was and I told her about the corned beef she said I should have told her well I did when she asked. I left half the sandwich she apologized when she took the plate away. Nothing was taken off the check. On the bright side the fries were very good

My wife and I have decided to eat at local places, rather than the chains… and we are very glad we tried Muddy Waters! We have lived in the area for eight years, moving from the North Shore. I was craving steak tips, and where we would always go to New Bridge, we have never found anyplace in the area that was close. The waitress, shame on me for not getting her name, was excellent as she reviewed the menu with us and explained they were known for their steak tips. She did not mislead! They were delicious, as well as the hand cut fries(some of the best I have ever had) and the beer battered onion rings. The onion rings were incredibly crispy. My wife ordered the Mac and Cheese, which she thoroughly enjoyed and was topped by just the right amount of breadcrumbs, was a creamy, cheesy delight. I recommend, but please go on the nights I don’t, I don’t want to wait. Next up… the pizza. Haven’t found a place that comes close to Bianchi’s in Revere in the area.

Visited twice this past weekend. Visiting from out of town. Excellent food! 12 of us went and nobody had a bad meal. The house salad was refreshing. No boring lettuce, tomato and onion here. A nice spring green mix with candied pecans, cranberries and goat cheese tops this off. The roasted chicken with the honey rosemary glaze was fantastic. Service was a bit slow the 2nd night we went as it was a bit more crowded. However we had a great time with the live band who really got our table of twelve involved in the fun of open mic night. Portion sizes varied a bit night to night too. Overall the people were very pleasant and the food fantastic.

Fun place but not a big place, cozy. Food was tasty, inexpensive and plentiful. $ 10 for Shepards Pie, side ceaser and delicious handmade rings and fries. Nice sandwiches and steak tips — order medium /medium rare though to avoid charring. Friendly staff makes all the difference. Live music Saturday night by a talented band. Found this place on Unilocal and we were all pleased. Keno too.

Decent beers on tap and above average buffalo wings. Guy at the bar next to me got some good looking steak tips that I would come back to try. Friendly bartender and overall relaxed vibe. Would definitely come back.

Real Gem off the beaten path… unless you know it’s there you need to go and find this place! Ed is the owner and sometimes bartender, quiet and unassuming guy but takes good care of your every need while you are sitting at the bar. It was very busy while we were there on a Friday night and the food was excellent. The steak tips were delicious! Their secret marinade was really good, try the salad too — very nice. onion rings were homemade and huge, with a beach like batter — albeit a little too greasy for my liking. Great entertainment without a cover charge. Check out this place. Nice neighborhood bar/pub with friendly people.

Food still very good and reasonably priced, with a crazy half-price appetizer deal from 4 to 6(every day, I believe, but definitely weekdays). Service has improved since my last review, but can still be on the slow side. I’d add a half star for that, but still just under four stars. The place is usually somewhat busy, even during the week, so they’re doing something right. Lots of TVs, live entertainment on the weekend, good grub at a good price and a not-at-all sketchy crowd makes for a solid time in Methuen.

I went here last night for my birthday. I didn’t feel too old there(38) which was cool. We got the chicken tender and quesadilla app. The food was excellent, not prepackaged junk. The bartender was the owner, he was very polite and attentive. It’s got a real nice pub/Irish pub feel inside. They were playing trivia and it was a decent crowd for a Thursday night. The owner mentioned live music on the weekends. Definitely going back and most likely on a weekend to check out the music scene Oh and they got keno…
