Do not use! They do a lackluster job at best. miss any attention to detail and don’t respond to complaints or questons regarding price. Total scam!

The ONE cleaning person sent to clean my mom’s house for the first time was not trained at all! I was told a team of people would do the initial cleaning. Terrible service and extremely disappointing.

Did you ever hear the saying«If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is»? This is one of those cases. I recently received a flyer in my local community newspaper from My Maids. It stated $ 69.95 for the first 5 rooms cleaned and then 9.95 for each additional room. Because it sounded quite cheap compared to the other local services, I called to verify. I was told that this was in fact the rate. The only extra would be $ 45 and hour for anything over 2 hours. That day of the cleaning came and went, my husband was home and he did not remember the price of the quote, so when they charged him $ 135 for an hour of house cleaning he wrote out the check without realizing they had double charged us. I called the next morning and left a voice mail. 6 hours later I had not heard back so I called again. This time I got Christina, she said she was looking into it and promised a call by 5:00 with resolution. No call. I didn’t bother over the weekend. Monday came and went — still no call. Finally Tuesday afternoon about 1:30 I called back and this time I got Katie. According to Katie I was charged $ 135 because it was 3 people for 1 hour — the first 2 were part of the 69.95 and the 3rd was billed at $ 45 per hour. I pointed out this would only have been $ 114.95 — not $ 135. At this point she got flustered and put me on hold to ‘check with her manager’. She got someone else to help her with simple math came back and said it was $ 45 an hour per person and not the $ 69.95 they advertised. If you are going to pay these prices, you are much better off going with Merry Maids. At least with Merry Maids they are upfront about their rates and don’t use false advertising to solicit customers hoping not to get caught. **** 8/10/11**** Just an update to my first review(after being contacted by Christina, the owner, when she was informed of the bad reviews on here). After many weeks of disputes, a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney Generals office My Maids finally agreed to the 69.95 they advertised. Of course I am still out the $ 30 stop payment fee of the check. So if you stand up, you will eventually get the advertised rate out of them. Christina asked what could be done and said they would like if we would continue to use their services — not a chance. The cleaning was fine, but I like to deal with companies that are honest and honor their quoted prices. I found another company and have had no problems since. I just noticed the two positive reviews were posted on the same date that Christina contacted me to let me know she was made aware by her PR firm about the negative comments. Maybe it is just coincidence.
