Terrible pedicures, I have given this salon several chances, they always rush me, pedicures last 15 minutes with zero massage. Gel manicure was not much better either, uneven application and several smudges which technician did not do anything about, I wanted to walk out with out paying, I will not be going back.

My wife went here last week and was really happy. So, that makes it good in my book.

I went here yesterday with a friend from work to get regular manicures. They have a nice selection of polishes and services. Everything was clean, but today I already have a chipped nail. The manicure was only $ 10 though.

I had a nice experience at this nail salon. I went with 2 other people and even though there weren’t enough people to do our nails at the same time, they still accommodated us. They were friendly and kind. I would definitely go back.

Minus 1 Star! The absolute WORST as far as nail salons go. From the word go the staff was entirely rude, appeared to be annoyed by having to provide ANY service. Services they provide are rushed and the polish they used is far too thinned out, making the products less than salon quality. I requested a basic manicure, so the women just removed my polish and filed my nails hastily while I was in the pedicure chair… visibly annoyed by my request. Never placed any product such as a clear top coat or nail strengthener. Rushed pedicure and when I say rushed I mean hasty. The pedicure involved soaking my feet in plain water for a minute while she hurried through trimming my nails and cutting cuticles. No pumice stone or exfoliant = no soft feet. She used 2 barely warm stones to «massage» my legs, that apparently meant running the stones up and down my legs with 2 quick motions. She rushed through a polish job with no bottom or top coat and just used a super thinned out polish. My toes were a mess before I even left because the Polish was so thinned it was sliding down my nails. At that point I attempted to fix my own pedicure, while the staff acknowledged the issue, yet offered no assistance to remedy the problem. Don’t waste your hard earned money and precious time at this place.

I just went to get pedicures with my friend for her birthday last night. I had the owner and my friend had an older woman. They both did a great job on our feet and really paid attention to our problem areas. The facilities were clean and we had a nice relaxing time out.

I get the pleasure of traveling across the country for work. During my travels I love getting my nails done in various establishments. By far this nail salon was the absolute worst!!! If there were a no star rating, this place would get it. First, it started with my pedicure; my feet soaked in plain water for at least 10 minutes. Nothing but water. The technician was a much older woman who seemed to be very tired already. She did not even completely remove the old color I had on my feet and ended the pedicure with no top coat(no stone or paraffin treatment). I really should have walked out at that point, but I wanted to get my nails done for a work event I have the next day. I should have stuck with my instincts because the gel nail treatment I received was the worst. The color was clearly unevenly coated and a few nails smudged. When I notified the the technician she simply shrugged her shoulders and said«I don’t know» I was soo upset I did not even want her to fix it. I paid for my services, but would never ever visit or recommend this place to anyone.

I had my nails done by Owner, Linda and my nails look amazing with the color gel. My nails still looked awesome after 2 ½ weeks before I went back for a color change. I will definitely go back. A+

This nail salon on Main Street in Metuchen is a great place. The staff is friendly and the pedicures include hot stone massage and paraffin wax. I felt as though I got a bit more services for a basic pedicure than I do in most places. Looking forward to returning!

Went here with my girlfriends before a wedding as they had tons of space to accommodate-and loved it!!! My manicure and pedicure stayed on for the longest it has ever stayed(whenever I get my nails done they chip so easily which is upsetting). The location is great, and the ladies are soooo adorbs! Definitely would go back:)

by and large i like this salon. i’ve been going there for years now. i like that they keep a separate box of files, sticks and buffers for regular customers so you’re not using anyone else’s things. very sanitary. i don’t like that they all speak korean among themselves when they obviously speak english. it makes me feel like they talk about the customers. after using the same woman for a long time now, i see that she has become very lazy and impertinent and isn’t doing as good a job as she used to. changing to another worker will cause hard feelings among everyone. the other women and the owner are very accommodating and the shop is super clean, as is the bathroom.

Ok so this is my first review and unfortunately it isn’t a good one. I’ve been to a million nail salons in the area. I usually go to Best Nails in Woodbridge, but I figured let me support my town and go to a local salon. WELL, it was such a horrible experience. Very expensive and the woman did a horrible job. I asked for pink and white gels, she was soo slow and my nails were lumpy. The woman was in the middle of doing my nails and said she had to leave to go to a wedding, so I had to wait for someone to finish doing another customers nails so I could get my done and get the hell out of there. I was there or about an hour and a half. There is no reason what so ever that it took that long. I actually went home and put nail polish on with crackle so you can’t see the lumps. I will never ever go back there.

Metuchen’s Main Street and surrounding neighborhood are full of nail salons, but the thing that keeps me coming back to Charming Nails is their loyalty to their customers. The owner, Linda, is such a sweet woman who definitely cares about her customers, and it shows. Every year during the holidays the ladies give out cute gifts to their regulars. And competitive prices and consistently good service, to boot! I only have positive things to say about Charming Nails.

While this isn’t the worse place on Main Street, it certainly wasn’t a thrill. I walked in recently for a leg waxing and manicure. I was immediately greeted when I entered, but sadly I can’t determine if it’s because of the management or the lack of customers.(Two staff members spent their time sitting on the couches in the waiting area.) The place was shabby and unsanitary enough to bother me. Manicure tools came right out of the manicurists desk. As a customer, how am I to know the last time these items were cleaned and how many other customers these were used on, sans a good UV treatment, prior to me? In the wax room, I was shown to a shaky table where I had to balance not to fall off. The bed had no paper covering, just some pilled, tired looking sheets. I had to ask that the technician place a paper sheet on top of this mess, which she did thankfully. They also used the double dipping technique when applying the wax — I know that this is fairly common but I dislike the practice. Prices are fair, $ 30 for waxing and manicure, but in the future, I hope to find that this place will improve their facilities to better accommodate customers.
