Mike’s Barber Shop

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike last Saturday. The shop was empty, I was the only customer so he got started with me pretty quickly. He’s a great person, truly did an excellent job with my haircut. He listens to instructions and gave me what I was looking for. There isn’t a ton of pizzazz with grills and letters shaven into the head like other modern barbers. Instead, he truly gives a good, clean, no-​nonsense look that’s expected out of a barber with 40 years of experience. I highly recommend him, and I will surely return. The only downside is the hours. He’s only around Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and closes pretty early. However, for $ 13 he is certainly worth a look. He’s got great values, does a great job and will take care of you.

I like Mike. He has a bunch of chairs, but I’ve only ever seen him cutting hair. He charges $ 8 or so, and does a good job. The only problem is, he is closed a lot. Either a vacation sign is out front with a return date, or he is just closed early. Also, there is not much parking at this place. You can park on the street, but it is very narrow. Also, be prepared to wait here. Old guys love this place.
