Yummy food! Best felafel we ever ate, and they brilliantly came up with popcorn felafel! The place is clean, with the kitchen open and visible behind the counter. Great smells and a chalkboard menu are sign of a great place to eat — this place has both and won’t disappoint. Two can eat dinner for what one of those huge drinks on Ocean Ave would cost — so great if you are on a budget, or just want a great deal for delicious food. Definitely recommend this place over others like it nearby.

Oh, Miami. How I want to scoop you up in my arms, drive up to Fort Lauderdale, take a Southwest flight to Detroit(well, Dearborn), set you loose on the streets, and let you discover what this sort of Mediterranean food should taste like. This time of year, I am, gladly, not suffering through freeze and cold, stinging ears, but from time to time, I contemplate trading a day or nice weather for some kafta that makes me wanna holler. Crazee Olive… is serviceable. I ordered the lamb kafta platter(points for actually *having* lamb kafta; it’s harder to come across here than talent on The X-Factor). For $ 13.99(Oh, Miami…), pita, salad, fries, and sauces. After waiting an adequate time for the food to cook(made-to-order orders are appreciated), I was bored and underwhelmed. After reading the reviews, I expected a lot more. My meat was charred. Now, while some char on meat can be a good thing, the ‘char’ here was closer to ‘burnt’… teetering toward ‘brisket.’ No es bueno. It’s a good thing the platter came with so many choices of sauces. I needed every one of them to help with the meat. Once I got past the burn, I could taste some spiced meat but I don’t like having to work that hard… especially for $ 13.99 for a platter. Friendly enough folks behind the counter and made-to-order food are the elements that kick this review up to a 3 but there’s no reason to rush back any time soon.

Good halal food! customer service is so good. The only thing they should mention on the menu is that they serve rice and you can substitute fries for rice.

This review is based on their Beef Shawarma. The pita was close to cold, the the beef wasn’t fully cooked, and the veggies seemed dry. For $ 9.00, you’ll get a mediocre kabob sandwich. While the size is somewhat plentiful, there’s no sides. Want sides? Look to cough up an extra $ 4.00 for French Fries. Since moving to Miami, I’ve yet to find a Gyro/Falafel spot that compares to what’s in Fort Lauderdale. I thought this place would be a good start, but it was not. The search is still on, Unilocal

Love this place! Me and my husband were dissappointed that another fave Middle Eastern joint of ours closed up the summer after we discovered it(we make a yearly trip to MIA) and we stumbled upon this place simply due to its proximity to the Angler’s(where we were staying last summer) and loved it. The food is typical middle eastern fare, kabobs, falafel, shwarma, etc. And as far as prices go you can have a nice big lunch for $ 20 for two people(with kabobs, rice, salad and pita bread). All in all this place is great food and great value.

Their fries are awesome, and overall, the food is just as good as «Rice House…» with a better pricetag. The portions are also great. Inside is just a counter; there are a few tables outside, but they also are really quick for delivery. We love ordering from them and even on Friday nights, our food crosses the beach in less than 45 minutes.

A bit overpriced for what you get, but it tasted fresh.

Not the nicest place to eat, but very good and fresh and at a fair price which can be hard to find on south beach. I really enjoyed my falafel and my husband the beef shawarma and while it was not a large portion we had to sample the parmesan, garlic AND cajun fries so that was plenty. They were all good, parmesan and garlic bing the best. Great for a late night snack or light lunch by the beach.

Tried the Crazee Olive for delivery last week and I liked it! The food was really fresh and the portion sizes were nice, especially for the price. It’s a less expensive Pasha’s. The order process was smooth(woman on the phone was fluent in English and friendly!) and the delivery was relatively fast. We got the salmon wrap, some kind of grilled meat that the BF enjoyed and falafel bites. The falafel was a little greasy and I probably wouldn’t order it again, but the rest of the food was great!

Ok this is one of favorite restaurants on the beach. The fattoush is as authentic as it gets! I usually order the kafta with basimati rice… don’t forget the side of garlic sauce. The price is right for the quality and portions. Plus they deliver!

OHEMGEE halal food on South Beach!!! Aside from a gyro here, and a kabob there, the menu offers basic americana grill food. The fried wings are decent, the handcut fries delicious, and the burger was some smoky goodness! I would totally come back to SoBe to eat here!

Two thumbs up! Crazee Olive has a variety of Mediterranean treats, including kabobs and falafel, but the best part is the burger lunch special– 1 good sized burger, an ample amount of fries and a fountain drink for about $ 5. On another note, the staff is super friendly and helpful and the bathroom is very well kept(which is a rarity on the beach)!

Crazee Olive is the perfect little spot for your lunch or a late night snack. The food is incredibly fresh and tasty and very affordable. I highly recommend it. The falafel platter comes with lettuce and tomatoes so fresh and ripe they taste like they were just picked on a farm. The bacon cheeseburger hit all the right spots. The fries are to die for. I wish there was a Crazee Olive up in Boston as well! p. s. we ate at Crazee Olive 3 times during our 5 day stay in Miami. It’s that good.

Great little spot for your lunch break or late night snack. Given the general quality of restaurants along Washington, Crazee Olive is exemplary. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable and the ingredients were all very fresh. Last time, I ordered the beef falafel(Imagine a deep-fried falafely meatball) sandwich with tahini sauce and parmesan fries. Both hit the spot and the regular-sized order of fries is plenty for two. Prices are typical for the type of establishment and location, but slightly high in my book. They used to offer fries garlic and parmesan fries served in a pita bread, which was awesome, but it’s no longer on the menu. I imagine they would probably make it for you if you asked.

Awesome place, delicious food, great space and fresh ingredients. This place feels is fantastic, add to the quality and freshness the fact that it is open on weekends until 6AM and you have the perfect after club spot for food! On a recent weekend trip to Miami, I came here twice in 2 days and each time was blown away. Go here, it is amazing! Try the popcorn falafel, they are awesome as are the fries!

My fiancé and I just finished our last meal in South Beach and I can safely say we saved the best for last. What a refreshing change of pace from the overpriced underwhelming fare that seems to be the norm here. First impressions were good, simply but nicely decorated and we were greeted with a friendly smile and hello when we walked in. I ordered the chicken kebab sandwich, my fiancé ordered the santa fe salad and we got a large order of garlic fries to share. My chicken was moist and well seasoned, the veggies were fresh, crunchy and flavorful and the pita was warm and delicious. Her salad was very generously portioned with a lot of cheese(she substituted feta for mozzarella for no charge) and avacado to go with the chick peas and other ingredients. It was just as fresh as my sandwich and equally delcious. The highlight for me was definitely the fries though, hand cut with the skin left on, which I love. The garlic flavor was present but not overpowering and again the portion size was an absolute bargain. Finally, and I wish other take out places would take note, they vented the container so the fries were still crispy after walking back to the hotel room. In summary, I will definitely be returning to crazee olive when my travels bring me back to south beach, and I’m already excited about trying more of the menu.

It wasn’t that expensive, but it still wasn’t worth it. I got a wrap, and the serving was small and dry, and the sauces didn’t really make up for it. The tapenade was fine, although it just wasn’t that strongly flavored, and the«harissa sauce» was actually mayonnaise with a little bit of chili pepper. I will try another cheap middle eastern restaurant at random before coming back.

Nice ambience, tiny space in South Beach that is open late at night(until 6AM Thursday to Saturday!!!) serving Middle Eastern fare. Everything here is grilled — the kufta(kafta), beef, chicken, lamb, etc. The popcorn falafel($ 3.75) was an interesting twist, and was good although a little bit too salty. The kufta platter($ 6.95) was surprisingly a little too small. For a platter, I would have expected two kufta instead of just one that I received. It did taste good however, and the accompanying salad was good as well. The pita bread served with the meal was not warm. I just would pay a little less for this. The shawarma platter($ 6.95) received the same reaction from my friend. He had fries instead of a salad and the fries were good(you have a choice between garlic, parmesan, or regular fries or you could substitute it for a salad, which was what I did). I wouldn’t mind coming back, but if I do, it most likely would be for a sandwich which is a bit cheaper. Or whenever they have a special deal. Once they do, I’m sure I’ll bump this place up another star.
