Avoid this place if you can! My boyfriend and I were in Miami on a short trip and needed an iphone charger. The salesperson we talked to at Deco Electronics told us that they had only two choices: a «fast» charger which costs $ 40 and a regular charger that costs $ 25. We were hesitant, but he assured us that the chargers work with all iphones (the connector fits), and said he would offer us a slightly lower price ($ 22) for the basic charger. We bought the basic charger and when we got back to the hotel, we found out that it doesn’t work, not with my boyfriend’s iphone 4 or my iphone 3G. We returned the second day and the same person greeted us. We felt that they were dishonest and simply wanted a refund and take our business elsewhere. At first, he said he cannot issue a refund it is store policy that all sales are final. We told him that we wanted a refund only because the product he sold us doesn’t work. We asked to speak to the manager, and he told us that the owner is not around and won’t be back any time soon. Then he told us that he needed our receipt, which he never gave us. He then showed us a receipt which says $ 22 on it and said it must be ours and we have to have a duplicate. We told him that we really didn’t receive one and since he has the original in his hand, he can be sure that we really did buy the charger from him. He became very angry and insisted on our copy of the receipt. Then he told us he wants to work with us, but he can only sell us the $ 40 charger if we gave him $ 20 more… We knew it is pointless to continue talking to him, so we told him that we will «do what we must do» (we meant writing a negative review on Unilocal!). He shouted at us, that he can call the police for us, and it’s his words against ours and no one would ever believe us. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP. Their business practice is despicable.

Ok… so I called ahead and asked the people for a very specific item. I knew exactly what I wanted. The response was that they had the item I was looking for. I told them that it had to be the exact brand I was looking for with the exact specifications. Again, I was affirmed that they had the item in stock. I battle my way to the store through the hectic South Beach traffic on a Friday night and after a prolonged search I am able to find a parking space that doesn’t cost $ 20 (flat fee) within walking distance.
When I make it to the store, they don’t have what I am looking for. The associate calls the manager, «OH, it’s in storage, let us get it for you.» Wrong brand, but I try it out. Doesn’t work. WHY do they do this bait-​and-​switch stuff?
Thank god parking only cost me $ 2 and not $ 20, or I would have been livid.
