Omg what a place what a setting so beautiful we sat outside at the pool… food very mediocre… waiter sweet but he did not have much to work with half the booze we ordered was out of stock and every heard of a restaurant/HOTEL with no coffee? Yes lol no coffee… they had been without it for days poor waiter I asked why they could not just go buy a bottle at 711 of instant stuff hell at least they would have coffee but got no reply so besides being beautiful setting stunning it was very expensive and food and stuff not so good plus valet sucked they do not have there own valet and the place next door charges $ 25 so beware

Feel like the reviews here are misleading. The hostess was very nice and accommodating, she only appeared to be rude to people who came in acting like they’re better than everyone and should be seated right away. We had reservations for 8:30 but dropped by @ 8 sharp, the hostess suggested we get seated then as it gets busier around 8:30−9 and she was totally right! It’s our first time in Miami, figured we’d stop by the Versace Mansion since it was so close to the hotel we were staying at. We had: App: The Montecarlo Bigaro(King Crab Salad) — Huge chunks of crab, with big piece of Mozzarella in the middle Entrée: Costolette Di Agnello(Lamb Chops) — Medium-Well — honesty one of the best lamb chops I’ve tried to date. The ‘Truffle Pommes Purée’ that comes with the dish is to DIEFOR!!! I honestly regret not ordering a 2nd round. Filetto Di Manzo Rossini(8oz Steak) — The steak was very good and juicy, only compliant would be the Pan Seared Foie Gras which could’ve deff been better Drinks: 24k — This drink comes with 24k flakes, @ $ 24 a pop I’d say they were well worth it not watered down like most places in south beach Forgot the name of the other one but there was some blackberries in there, and one of the more popular drinks as suggested by the server. Overall, this is very nice intimate setting with good dishes. Be prepared to break the bank, gratuity like most places in south beach is automatically added to the bill so be sure not to tip 2x.

The ambiance is legendary. The food is ho-hum and overpriced. We grabbed a few drinks and some smaller plates here before we moved onto Pane & Vino(amazing!) and even the small plates were meh. It seems they’re getting by on selling nostalgia and the Versace allure.

The food was fabulous and we enjoy every bite Italian style so no really strong flavor or spices. Service was fenomenal and the ambiance a dream.

Talk about ambiance!!! Obviously this place is gorgeous. With its outdated architecture and art it screams Versace. The attention to detail is spectacular; it allows you to enter a different era and just imagine the number of people who have walked in and out of it. Since we were there for a special occasion and it was a large group we had the luxury of being seated by the pool. Absolutely stunning! The set up and service was very nice. Unfortunately, that is was you pay for because the food is nothing out of this world. The flavors are mediocre, with very small portions and pricey. I ordered gnocchi which tasted nicely but felt like a snack and the same for most everyone’s plate. For a private party, engagement, wedding the venue is gorgeous but don’t count on the food meeting that expectation. Regardless, it’s a nice experience just to walk through the villa and be surrounded by stunning architecture and art.

The host girl at the entrance was incredibly rude, no smile, attitude as she is a mean prisoner and didn’t want us to enjoy the night. The rest was great, the servant, the food, the beauty, but the host girl ruined all night.

This place is a necessity to visit when in Miami. It’s a little pricey but completely worth it! The food is great. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. They were busy so we didn’t get a tour but we were able to walk around by ourselves and its a beautiful place. The history alone is worth experiencing. The ambiance is breath taking. It didn’t matter where we say it truly is a beautiful place. The food is delicious. Again a little pricey but very good. I had filet with foie gras, accompanied with mashed potatoes and veggies. Mmm! The service was spot on. I was really impressed with our waiter. After washing my hands in the bathroom I left 3 of my rings on the sink! I didn’t notice until later while at a friends house. I called the restaurant and they found them. They put them in an envelope for me and I went back to pick them up. That was amazing. I couldn’t believe my jewelry was picked up and waiting for me when I got back. There’s something to be said about that. I can’t wait to come back and try something different on the menu :). And hopefully leave with all my jewelry, lol!

when mother dearest decides she wants to feast at The Villa Casa Casuarina at Gianni’s inside, you don’t argue as it’s her big 6 – 0 and hope for the best! and we sure did get the best! I always get a bit apprehensive at fancier joints as I worry they will be snooty as a mofo. however not the case whatsoever here. or at least this night, praise the Gods above. the servers were all friendly, smiling and always attentive. I wish I could rem more detailed details about our meals, but 4 rose bottles in can make things a bit blurry, with the 4th bottle on the house!(can’t even believe that happened!) a branzino for two which was fresh, cut for us with the most delicious roasted tomatoes and veggies. the grilled octupus app was a hit, as was the lamb chops for dinner. desserts(3 of them, on the house as well!, perhaps it pays to call ahead and let them know you are celebrating a milestone bday) all gorgeously decorated and just as tasty. fresh and not too sweet. I was beyond pleasantly surprised for my 2nd visit to the mansion(first about 4 yrs ago, different restaurant at that time). the grounds are outta this world gorgeous and thankful to be able to explore and dine at this place. I hope anyone who dines here has just as a wonderful experience as we did

This is a gated community please get off the property in words of Drake sometimes to see the beautiful décor of the Versace mansion you must eat at the fabulous restaurant inside, Gianni’s. We sat inside in the main dining room that surrounded us with beautiful rock mosaics. The staff here are anything but stuffy. Very attentive and helpful. Our waiter was Italian too and had all the boopa Dee baapa charm. Very helpful didn’t rush us even though we were there for over 3 hours. Some guests ordered the octopus for antipasti and stated it was delicious. I had as the orecchette for my primi dish which was a pasta dish with Italian sausage heavily on earth. I don’t eat carbs but this was well worth! Definitely enough to share for two or three if you are having a secondi but my gluttony came full affect and ate all the pasta and ordered the costolette de agnello which was the lamb dish that came with truffle mashed potatoes. The lamb was excellent wish they paired it with some vegetables as I already had my carb intake. Two guests shared the branzino that I even dared to try(I don’t like fish) and it was not fishy at all. It was paired nicely with vegetables. Highly recommend as well especially if you like fish. It was my mothers 60th so they brought out three desserts that were rich and looked like mini cakes. I have no idea what the names were called but the red topping one was everyone’s favorite. The restaurant was nice that after the third bottle of wine they offered a fourth on the house! Was this really happening on South Beach in the Versace mansion?!! And on top of that they brought my mother one last class of champagne! Bravo Gianni’s you out did yourself with service and filling out tummies!

We were super excited to come here to close out our Miami trip but unfortunately our reservation got moved due to an event, a minor detail but annoying none the less. When the day came and we were informed there was only indoor seating which was fine but we arrived and they let us know the entire courtyard was closed. That was half the reason we wanted to come, to see the property. Hugely disappointed, I let the manager know that no one had told us this prior to arrival. He was extremely accommodating and let us know the party would be ending in a few hours and we could tour the grounds after. We then spent our evening taking our time enjoying our first, second and dessert courses. Our server Antonio was exceptional and we ended up having an amazing time. King crab salad, spaghetti, lamb chops, wagyu filet and strawberry shortcake dessert were all great. Free champagne while walking around the mansion was the perfect way to end the night. Customer service turned what started out as an average evening into a great experience. Thank you!

Came here for my friend’s birthday when we were in town from NY. We had the polpo to start which was not that great. I’ve had octopus before and this was so chewy and just not savory enough. I chose the orata for the main course, which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this dish! My friend had the Pollo alla piastra and thought it was too dry and bland. Chocolate mousse for dessert was great. Service was great, although it took a while to get the check. Appropriately priced and it doesn’t break the bank. The mansion itself is stunning. One of the best experiences I have ever had. Very much pleased!

Went for my birthday 1.7.16 At first I ordered a chicken dish but I didn’t like it, so the waitress gladly exchanged my dish for the GNOCCHIDIGRANCHIO which is a crab dish and it was just amazing! Beautiful place and service was great I will defiantly be back.

Beautiful house and worth visiting for the history and legacy of Gianni Versace. Ordered the octopus and pouched lobster for appetizers and they were really good. Pasta a la chattarra for main course and wasn’t thrilled with it. Wasn’t that tasty. Also, was recommended by the waiter to order the chocolate mousse for dessert, but it honestly is not worth it. Overall, the service was excellent and we had a wonderful evening at Gianni’s, but don’t expect the food to blow your mind. The experience is more about the place than the food.

Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. Excellent food and drink but the food and drink are a bit pricey, but worth it! Thankfully the presentation and preparation makes up for the cost. A very classy and relaxed evening. A very special place. The photo opportunities are amazing.

This is it, the BEST Italian restaurant in the country! Sorry il Mulino. Located in the Versace mansion(more like a castle) in south beach on ocean drive and 12th street. It’s worth eating here just for the lactation, you can get a glimpse on how the late great Gianni Versace lived. All of the outdoor seating is great, very romantic too. Whether on the terrace or poolside, it’s beautiful. We were seated promptly at 7pm, and by 8 it was fully seated. The service is excellent! Nice and attentive staff. Drinks were great, the appetizers were amazing as were the entrées and deserts. We had the mushroom risotto, sausage and pasta appetizers; entrées were dry aged New York strip steak, better then any steakhouse, lamb chops and the giant prawns, no kidding, they were the size of labs yet tails, the dish was the size of a football to fit the prawns. Grilled to perfection, the best meal that ever! The deserts were incredible, really a work of art. We had the pistachio cake and the triple chocolate cake too. Best deserts ever. The restaurant is expensive, easily $ 100 per person(before tip), but you really get your hard earned monies worth. Again, this was the best meal that I ever had. I wish that could give 10 stars!

Reservation was for 8. Called at 7pm to move to 8:30. Arrived at 8:35 and wasn’t seated until after 9:15. We were able to walk around and take pics and have drinks at the bar. Server took over 15 minutes to approach table and didn’t bring bread until we asked. Food was AMAZING. Took over 30 minutes for check. Charged $ 40 for water when we weren’t asked or informed it would be extra charge. Dessert was amazing! Roof leaked and we had to move the table out of the way ourselves with no help from staff. Staff was nice. Bartender Alex is a magician and made great drinks. Incredibly expensive as expected and sort of worth it.
